First and foremost, a gun owner must know how to use a gun safely. If one does not know how to use a gun properly, they are putting themselves and others in danger. There are three critical rules to follow in order to maintain a safe environment while shooting a gun. Rule one is always to keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. Whether this be pointed downrange or straight up, a safe direction is the direction where there is no chance of injury if the gun were to unintentionally go off. Crime and violence rate are increase in world every day. People are being rob, rape and kill either for money, power or hatred. These criminal activities mostly happen before police arrived at the scene. in order for people to protect themselves and their family , many people in America believe it is very important to hold a gun at homes and in their cars. Owning a gun is not only important, but it is also beneficial to the individual in America society. Some of the beneficial reasons are as follows; constitutional rights (Second Amendment right), personal safety or protection, self-defense, hunting and social events.

This feature helps to keep the gun from firing in unwanted directions that could potentially harm someone. When transporting a rifle, always make sure that the safety is on, and when shooting turn the safety off.
