Many people look at those who are successful and think it is so simple. An example, Slash from Guns N' Roses, he makes shredding on guitar look simple. The thing is though, no one looks at all the hard work that people put in to be successful. Drug addicts, they go through relapses but they still keep moving forward and kick the drugs. Another example would be body builders, it's not like one day they magically decide that they want to have intense muscles. It takes time to be successful. No one really knows how hard it is to be successful until they actually try. An example, Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue, once recalled all the times that he slept in abandon houses and cars, on the women on the night's couches; not to mention the year it took to recruit Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, and Mick Mars. It was just something that no one knew happened before they became rock stars. No one knew that he had to steal his first guitar, or work odd jobs for food. Axl Rose was a poor boy from Lafayette, Indiana. Most people had no clue where Guns N' Roses had come from. They thought the most dangerous band in the world sprung up out of no where, that it just happened. It took Guns a long time to get a label representative or anyone to look their way. They went through, as a band, everything that goes along with being successful in the late 80s. The band lost the drummer to drugs, making them fall a bit, but it was ultimately Axl's lack of control that made band members split up.
