Make Your Own Flax Seed Hair Gel Using 8 Simple Steps Have you tried making your own all natural hair styling gel right in your own kitchen? If you would like to know how I make my own hair gel, this write-up will give you a clear picture. Throughout my grow hair journey, I have been having an adventurous and fun time exploring many natural ingredients to make hair recipes. One of my favorite is this one - flax seed hair gel recipe which my kids have a really good time playing with as well! The things you will need are golden flax seeds, a small non-stick pot, an ankle stocking, a glass jar, a bowl, a regular coffee or beverage mug and distilled water. Here are the steps: 1 - Put the stocking over the glass jar like it is a strainer or sieve. You will pour the hot gel in there later. And …show more content…
8 - Lift the lump of flax seeds up. You may want to use a spoon to scrape off some of the gel into the jar. Then just throw the whole lump of seeds away. Otherwise, if you are a fun-loving mum like me, you may put this lump into a bowl to let it cool. Then give this lump to your kids to 'mess with' - my kids love this slimy stuff! For scent and moisturizer (optional), you may add stuff like lavender essential oil, rosemary oil, honey, Aloe Vera gel or juice. Then mix well. All these add-on ingredients are really up to your personal tastes, hair texture, hair volume, hair length and the occasion. You also need to avoid ingredients you or your skin are sensitive or allergic to. Some people may add something like guar gum to give the gel more 'weight' to define curly hair. And some may also add preservative. Otherwise, this gel can be kept in small portions in the freezer. Whenever you need, just take out one of the small portions, thaw it and it is good to go. To apply, 'crunch' the gel using your fingers and apply the gel to your hair. A wide tooth comb comes in handy
21) After all of the solid dissolves, move the flask from the hot plate and allow it cool to room temperature. After a while, crystals should appear in the flask.
Shake the bottle for the oils to mix evenly. Put the tightly closed bottle in a dark bottle in a cupboard for a day where the temperature is not more that 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Now go ahead and empty the content into a small jar or empty deodorant container. Let it solidified up in the fridge before you use it.
Fill the rest of the container almost to the top with water and let the mixture separate.

The Rosemary Vanilla Twist Defining Smoothie is great for twists and twist outs and I love using it when her hair is damp, and I'm doing a protective style such as bantu knots (see photo below of what Bantu Knots looks like). The Argan Curl Defining Jelly is a soft hold jelly, so it doesn't leave her hair feeling hard and crunchy, which is one reason why I don't use gels in her hair, however this one is awesome! I use this around her edges to keep those flyaway baby hair down. It doesn't leave that white flakiness that is usually associated with gels and it leaves her curls
After poring the gel, wash the bottle with plenty of running water without draining any excess agarose down the sink. When the gel completely solidifies, transfer it into the electrophoresis chamber. Be sure to place the tray so that the sample wells are near the negative pole. Pour about 275ml of electrophoresis running buffer into the buffer chamber, and adjust the buffer level so the gel is completely submerged below the buffer level. Now, remove the gel comb slowly with a rocking motion until the comb is free of the gel.
Natural hair on African Americans is not the easiest hair to deal with. One hairstyle that is used as a protective style, and helps you avoid doing your hair for a couple days, is doing individual twists. You first have to saturate your hair with water, oil of your choice (I prefer coconut oil), and a leave-in conditioner. Then, you should horizontally part your hair in the back (work your way up to the front) to prepare to twist. Then you part a small strand vertically and put a curling crème on the strand. Next, you should separate the strand in the middle, and then start twisting the strand. When you twist, you’re putting one strand on top of the other. Then you should repeat the instructions for each strand until you complete your whole

Some curlies find success in layering products on top of each other to increase moisture retention. Keep your products lightweight to prevent build up or ensure you cleanse hair often. Co-washing should be done sparingly as co-washing coats the hair strands with product leading to build up.
Fill the rest of the column with NaCl, and do so by pouring the solution along the interior side of the column. This allows the gel to become moist.
