I would probably want to be friends with the protagonist Hank Zippster because he had a good idea on how to get even with Nick McKelty the school bully. He decided to build a haunted house to scare Nick for making fun of his italian dinner table costume that he spent hours on making. He started by going to buy the things he needed to make the haunted house. Then he enlisted the help of his two best friends. Next all three of them gathered the supplies and started to build the haunted house. He had a skelton and when you touched it the arm fell off. He had mushy brains in a bowl made from overcooked pasta and eyeballs that were peeled grapes soaking in slimy egg whites. Also he had a spider that one of his friends would drop on the bullies head.
“And we are back! Bottom of the seventh out here in Chesterfield. The score is 7-6, Crushers are winning and the Stix are at their last at bat. It’s about as hot as a chili pepper in August.
ZAPP The Lightning of EMPOWERMENT, by William C. Byham Ph.D. and Jeff Cox presents a story of different problems that managers/supervisors face and how they deal with the problems. The book shows how an autocratic supervisor would deal with a problem compared to a participative supervisor would handle the problems. The story shows the contrast between a supervisor that ZAPPS (empowers) her employees and a supervisor that SAPPS his employees by his interactions and management style with the employees.
How would you feel if everything you worked for in life, was left to rot?
“Dr. Seuss was probably the best loved and certainly the best-selling children’s book writer of all times.” said New York Times Book Review. Theodor Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts. His mother’s name was Henritta Seuss Geisel and she loved to read to him and his sister, Marnie. As a result, Ted got his love of reading and repartee from her. Ted’s father was also named Theodor Seuss Geisel. His father helped him become more involved with machines and he made weird gadgets in his shop. One gadget actually made arms more muscular.
After reading the book titled “The Outsiders,” I learned that different types of people have different reactions and lifestyles. “The Outsiders” had many different characters, both minor and major, that played a role in the story. There are three characters in the novel that I have a strong feeling for, Ponyboy, Cherry, and Paul. I consider these three characters as either a BAE/BFF, Frenemy, or Extermination.
Genre #7: Since the project is named Billy’s Scrapbook I decided to add a few photos that were major key points in his life. For instance, the saucer , his daughter’s wedding, a Tralfamadorian, and the Veteran Hospital all point to his story of his encounter with Aliens. After getting electro shocked for his mental breakdowns, my speculation leads me to believe it made his grip on reality loosen even more. A scrapbook also contains mainly happy or positive moments of one's life and Pilgrim certainly believed that his trip to Tralfamadore was soul changing. I wanted to do polaroids since my bookmark was a photo I took with my 1970 polaroid and is close to the time frame of the book. I think it made me able to incorporate a piece of me into this

“Using the passage above and the Novel as a whole, explain Harper Lee’s exploration of the need to be kind and compassionate”
Dr. Seuss is a children’s book author. His most famous works are Cat In The Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. A pattern that people have noticed in his books is that they incorporate messages about the problems in the world. Books like the Lorax, the Butter Battle Book, The Star-Belly Sneetches, and Gertrude McFuzz. In fact, that’s what we’re going to be discussing today. This essay will be going into more depth on 3 books that cover the social issues of environmentalism or deforestation, racism, and wanting to change yourself to fit other’s standards.
I would like to start off by thanking you all for accepting me with such warmth tonight at this very special Stanford University STEM faculty conference. The opportunity I have been given to present my research on the underrepresentation of minorities in STEM, a subject I have grown to love during my years of delving into the vast expanse of the topic, means so much to me. I am not here to argue for any one of the particular viewpoints I have studied, but rather, I am simply here to share the most important information I have gathered. All I ask that you do is listen closely, refraining from blocking out information because you do not agree with it. Only in doing so will we be able to bring to light the different perspectives that have contributed

I would really like to have the main character, Polly Nathoy as a close friend because she is by far one of the most caring, genuine people in the novel. It is clearly shown how much she cares about the ones she loves and how she would risk her like for the people she cares about. During a scene where the man she loves got shot, she has more hope than anyone. She knew she had to help him pull through. I would obviously want someone like this as a friend, not only because of how generous she is, but because sometimes she needs someone to be just as nice to her. Another example in the book would be when she meets a little girl for the first time that is having a hard time adjusting to her boarding school and being away from her parents. Polly
For our reading conference, A. chose to read the book Duck For President by Doreen Cronin, which her mother had recently purchased for her. First, I asked her to read the book by herself without me interrupting her with any questions. I did this so I could assess her reading skills. Once, she was done reading, I asked her to tell me what she understood about the story. What I observed is that A. reads a little too fast, sometimes misreading a couple of words. She also does not read the nonconventional parts of the text (things written within the pictures), which would help her better understand the story. A. did ask what certain words meant (senator, government), but she did not try to find them out for herself. She did
Robert Heinlein sees the world in a different way that most of us. From his poor life in midwest America to the time he wrote his book, Starship Troopers, he is driven to see America thrive. He has a strong appeal to the military and humanities values in this book. He uses science fiction to refer to what might happen in the future.
