H,a,p,p,y. Even little kindergartners know that it spells the word happy. But how many people actually know what happiness is? For many kids, it might just be as simple as playing outside with friends, but to me it's not. To me, happiness is knowing that I belong somewhere. Specifically, knowing that someone loves me makes me very happy, and everyone deserves to be loved. When I help bring people’s smile back on their face, I always feel like smiling with them. Lastly, I feel happy when I achieve my goals because I worked hard for it, and I feel very proud because of it.

Being loved makes me feel joyful because that makes me feel like I belong in someone's heart. First of all, my parents’ love means a lot to me. I’m benefiting from their hard work, and they never ask me to give back to them. Every time I ask them questions, they try their hardest to help me answer them and that really helps me. They can take care of me for days when I’m sick, but they never tell me when they are having a hard time. They don’t want to increase my pressure, and that just makes me feel like they love me so much. Furthermore, the love of peers also helped me a lot. The love of peers is different from the love of parents. Even though they don’t do as much as my parents, true friends are always the best listeners. When I sometimes get stressed out, and it’s not something that my parents can help with, I can always talk to my friends. Even if my friends cannot come up with a solution, just by saying my problems out loud to someone, will make me feel more relieved. Lastly, the love of my sister is also important. We were both born in China, so we know how hard it is to adapt to a new place. Therefore, we have similar topics to view from with which we can talk and share. We will sometimes talk about how we miss China, but also really like Canada at the same time. We are about the same age group, so we can also talk about the songs we like or the movies we like together. This is different from talking with my parents and friends. My parent likes older things, so they don’t really like the same thing as me. Even though my friends are also my age, they were still born in Canada, and I mostly like
