As a group, we looked over the hay bale weights and took a couple minutes to brainstorm. We gave out some reasonable guesses, and worked them out. After we found out that all of them were incorrect, we had to find a new strategy. So, we made squares and put certain numbers into them, and then tried to move them around to make them fit the requirements. We did this because it was an easier way to tie down the numbers and see if they would add up to the answer needed. It also helped us keep our numbers organized. Some numbers we took out of the available numbers were 42, 45, 51, 52, and 50. Some reasonable guesses we took were; 38, 39, 40, 41, 37, 36, and 46. Finally, everyone was stuck so we worked as a class to figure out numbers. I did not get the answer on my own. Although, I got the answer and understood the problem when we started putting the equations together.
