To reduce these problematic trends, you must reduce processed food intake, increase physical activity and maintain a healthy diet. Processed foods are the most common foods today. Fast food, processed, and packaged food contains high sodium levels. The youth culture especially teens enjoy fast food because its affordable, quick, easy to get, and taste good. Although these are the benefits of fast food, fast food is unhealthy. Majority of the food is processed and therefore, no fresh ingredients are used. At some of the restaurants, they do provide healthier options such as salads and wraps. Even though they are claimed to be healthier, the calories of these healthier options equals the same amount as a burger would. Many people have this idea that fast food isn’t all that bad, for the food is convenient and engineered to taste amazing. The craving for food isn’t because it’s necessarily cheap, but because it’s convenient for most people’s fast paced busy lives.
