“The road ahead waits for your journey, you just got to take the first step.” High Tech High School is my road to success. Not only will it fulfill my academic needs, but will help me stay on the right track as a dancer and an individual. As a girl who has gone to Catholic school her whole life, I question going to a public school. Why should I go down this road? Because High Tech is not your average high school. It gives people the opportunity to be surrounded by those who share your same passion. People who are going down the same road. No matter the number of bumps in the road, I consistently challenge to push myself past my limits and attain my ambitions. I am sure that High Tech will help me achieve my goal of becoming a choreographer.
Recently, the Junior Civitan Club held a charter ceremony to officially recognize the club as part of Junior Civitan. This was a very momentous occasion for not only members and sponsors of the club, but for the school as well.
Unit 10 was a closure for the previous four units in the process of inventing Canada. This unit based on the earliest resources on Canadian history and on the first nations whom lived in this country. This resources were about pre-Cartier and his explorations. Some nations, for example the people who lived in St. Lawrence valley – whom did not have a specific name to be called at- and historians still lacking enough evidence on their existence or what happened with them. These people who are identified as St. Lawrence Iroquoians were lived in the contact area which means the conquerors reached them first. The Iroquoians were exposed to all the dangers Europeans carried into the native lands, different types of diseases they were not immune
Do you think Conroe high school should change there rules. I think conroe should change the hat rule to be able to where it in school.
My favorite ENG 102 project was how radioactive elements released into the Atlantic Ocean affected marine life due to the Fukushima nuclear reactors. As much as I struggled with writing and formatting my paper it was very rewarding none the less. Interesting enough I found who I was when I was looking for research articles about the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. It was privy to me that I was fascinated about the bazar techniques used to harness energy through nuclear fusion and fission. When I began my voyage I believed that these technical details about nuclear reactors was not something I was going to enjoy, but necessary for my report. I was wrong. I was fascinated; I completely submerged myself in nuclear chemistry. I read papers
Today, police reports that teachers from Wilmette Junior High School sent to a hospital after a basketball game yesterday.
Project H.O.M.E. has created a comprehensive “continuum of care,” consisting of street outreach and supportive residential programs (Hall 3). The programs begin with entry-level housing, which then can become permanent housing. Each step provides comprehensive services like employment, education, and healthcare. Their Outreach Coordination Center is a program coordinating private and public agencies doing outreach with homeless persons in Philadelphia. Once these individuals are off the streets, Project H.O.M.E. provides residential options. These residential programs are designed to help previously homeless people with individual challenges in their effort to alter their lives. Project H.O.M.E. has two entry-level “safe havens” with a total of 65 beds. One, St. Columba, provides a home for older men who continue to struggle with mental
High school plays a pivotal role in a student's life, helping to decide what type of person they want to become. The best high schools go one step further, giving students the skills and tools needed to move on to college and realize their passions and dreams. My personal Skutt Catholic experience fully prepared me for college and beyond with a top-notch education that gives every student the necessary resources to begin a life of empowering others, promoting justice, and initiating change. It has represented the "Legend of the Skyhawk" and formed me into the young man I am today through abundant opportunities in scholarship, friendship, and leadership.
Hi. I am Diamond Johnson. I’ve been attending HSS-High since seventh grade and now I am currently a junior. I think I am a good role model at Harmony because I’m a very outgoing person and I also play sports, so I show others that you can be an athlete and also be on A/B honor roll. I am the captain of the basketball team because I have good sportsmanship and Leadership skills. I always encourage my other teammates or help them in an area they aren’t good in instead of judging them. I don’t just associate with people in my grade level I am opened to talking to anybody just so that they know that they will always have a friend to talk to. At Harmony we the students tend to create our group of friends based on race but I try to hang out with everybody just to show them that Harmony is a diverse school for a reason, so use that opportunity to learn about each other. I also believe that being a role model is not just temporary because someone is always watching your every move to learn from you. Therefore, they cannot learn from bad examples so you should always do the right things behind closed doors.
My freshman year at Ceiba College Prep was an adventure, I was able to truly find myself and learn who I was, along with my friends. My school is strict, and students often felt isolated in such a small school. In an attempt to help the school feel more traditional, administration allowed an trial run for open campus. Certain classes would be allowed to leave during lunch, and come back before classes resumed. The detail, however, was that only specific classes were allowed to go. In this misunderstanding, my friends and I left campus when we were not part of the permitted class. When we arrived back to campus, teachers were doing a roundup of students, to make sure no one unapproved had left. My friends and I were told we had left without
Lakeside High School is a very proactive school in school safety, and goes above and beyond to help students feel safe and secure, while at school. School safety is one of the most important issues education today. The wellbeing of all three groups is important to Lakeside High School.
I was devastated to hear that only ten students were allowed into ENG 102 for the spring semester, but this is my opportunity to show you that I deserve to be put in ENG 102. I believe I should be one of the ten students to advance into your ENG 102 class because I think I have what it takes. I have ambitions and dreams and if I don’t graduate because of this class they will just burn to ashes in the back of my mind. Hopefully you will be persuaded by the end of this essay, and you will end up putting me in your 102 class.
In Order to achieve my goals, I need to get accepted into High Tech High School. There are many goals that I want to achieve when I am accepted into this high school. First, I want to join this high school because I want to get the best quality of learning. Secondly, I want to join because of the variety of courses, and the extracurricular activities. Finally, and most importantly I want to achieve my most important goal of becoming my dream career.
I am a black belt in taekwondo. I also took swimming lessons at Berkeley Aquatic and was put on the swim team. I enjoy dancing and take lessons. I play badminton and volleyball. I play the piano and guitar and take lessons. I am in drama and dance club at school. As I go from one activity to another, from badminton practice to playing the guitar the disappointment and anxiety that I feel at my denial to High Tech continues.
Junior High is a scary thought. You are little and going to school with the big kids. It wasn’t to bad after I got used to it.
During the summer between my sophomore and junior years, I was one of four students selected to represent my school and council at the National Josten’s Renaissance conference in Orlando Florida. My fellow students and I learned a great deal about other schools around the country and we wanted to take some ideas back to our school to implement them. One of our key ideas focused on recognizing various students at our high school that constantly achieve remarkable feats, but largely go unnoticed by the school as a whole. Being vice president of my class, I took charge of this initiative and designed a solution to the problem. I advocated that we replace our typical, mundane, class meetings with class rallies, a pep rally type atmosphere for more
