When it comes to dining-in at a restaurant we all want the best service that we can get. When I think of “the best service” I think about the cleanliness, nice waitresses, good food, and affordable prices. There are so many different options when a family thinks about going out to eat, especially if they have small children. It’s often hard to go to a nice dine-in restaurant because sometimes it’s hard to find something on the menu for everyone in the family. I have experienced many things at two completely different restaurants. I can say Demos’ is better than Logan’s because the food and service is much better.
The restaurant industry is a dominating power in the United States. Specifically, fast food restaurants are the leading force of the food that Americans consume every day. The popular chains- such as McDonalds, Burger King, and Wendy’s- control the way that consumers eat, due to the fact that they remove most mom and pop type businesses. In Chew on This, authors Eric Schlosser and Charles Wilson explore the effects that the fast food industry has taken on children’s lives, food distribution and packaging, and health of the public since its rise to fame.
In New Mexico it is very easy to find a restaurant that serves “Latino” themed food. Often, these restaurants put their own spin into the food and it becomes New Mexican. However, if you look hard enough, you may find authentic food from other Latino countries. There are MANY restaurants in Albuquerque and they all serve delicious and unique meals. For this assignment I wanted to try something new and indulge in unique tastes that I will remember for years. I meticulously researched restaurants on Google and found one that caught my attention. Its name is Havana Restaurant. It is in Daskalos Shopping Center off Menaul and San Mateo and its hours of operation are 11 A.M. to 8 P.M (Google Search: Havana Restaurant Albuquerque).
The Brickery Bar & Grill, in Atlanta, serves mouth-watering contemporary American cuisine in its lively and welcoming eatery. The succulent barely battered shrimp and the blue cheese chips, homemade potato chips topped with crumbled blue cheese, make perfect starters for sharing. Some of The Brickery Bar & Grill house specialty entrées include the pan sautéed blackened tilapia, the teriyaki chicken kabobs marinated and char-grilled to perfection and a rack of the baby back ribs in a tangy and smoky hickory barbecue sauce. Sandwiches are some of diners’ favorite plates at the Brickery, with options ranging from the homemade black bean burger topped with avocado and cilantro chipotle dressing and the thin-sliced brisket sandwich topped with pickles
The first KFC was opened in Tiananmen Square, China 1987; it struggled as western food was unknown to the east. This was still a very conservative nation, not prepared for the “Fast Food” takeover. The restaurant did pretty well, but grew slowly. The Harvard business review, stated that “in 1992 the Chinese government granted foreign companies greater access to markets, KFC China’s managers gradually developed the blueprint that would transform the chain.” (Yums' China, 2017) Although they have done well for themselves they struggled, as growth was steady but slow and their customer base was shrinking. “In November 2016 Yum China Holdings, Inc. became a licensee of Yum brands in Mainland China; they have exclusive rights to KFC.” (Yums' China, 2017) Yum controls approximately 7,300 restaurants and more than 400,000 employees in more than 1, 100 cities. YUMS generated over $8bln in sales in 2015.

McDonald's has had a global impact on the food industry. McDonald's developed a revolutionary idea known today as fast-food. This impact began in 1930 when Maurice and Richard McDonald left New Hampshire seeking to make a fortune in Hollywood, started up a drive-in restaurant in San Bernardino. Unlike so many other food-service operations at the time, McDonald's came up with new ideas that turned the usual slow paced dinner into a finely tuned engine.
Luckily for Keith and Matthew, McLamore and Edgerton was generous enough to buy them out of the trouble then soon later in 1961, the Whopper was spreading throughout the nation. Although their business was going so good, another company brought the Burger King

Not having to answer to a corporate boss is the dream of many and the flexibility that owning a business franchise creates provides this option. Success is not reached by simply creating a business, however. The level of success is measured by the size and efficiency of the business. Business growth is the driving force of the economy. The additional jobs and revenues created when a business expands allow the economy to grow at exponential rates. One of the fastest and most popular ways to increase the size of a business is to turn it into a franchise, which can then be purchased by individuals. Franchising provides opportunities that are beneficial to both the parent company and the purchaser. The company that owns the business can expand
