Honoré-Gabriel Riqueti, Comte de Mirabeau was an outstanding politician and a Monarchist. He knew that the monarchy would have to change and sided with the idea that limiting the monarchy would give it the best chance of surviving the Revolution. He was an influential man in the Revolution without who, the Revolution may not have been the same, he had many ideas and aims, he performed many powerful actions and political inputs that no one else would. Although he was influential he was not trusted enough or alive long enough to see his plans carried out causing most of them to fail. Mirabeau was a significant man in the French Revolution but only significant in the very early stages being forgotten later caused his input to bring little consequence later in the radical stages of the Revolution.
At the age of three Comte de Mirabeau contracted small pocks leaving him disfigured but that didn’t slow him down with the ladies. He was sent to school at a strict military academy named Abbé Choquard in Paris by his father in an attempt to correct his bad behaviour. His misconduct at the school led to him being jailed and later released to serve in the army as a sublieutenant. He engaged in many love affairs after leaving the army as well as accumulating a large amount of debt due to gambling which his father was to be held accountable for. This was the case as Comte de Mirabeau had no money to pay them back. This resulted in his father placing him in jail again, here he wrote his
Between 1789 and 1814 the French Revolution astonished and impacted the world. The Revolution has been talked about for years because of its contributions and the way it affected the world. The significant figures from the Revolution also played important roles in history and in areas outside of France. King Louis’ absolutism and the unfair treatment between classes were political, social, and economical causes of the French Revolution. This Revolution impacted the people of France by terrorizing and affecting their rights, yet at the same time the French Revolution served as a template for other countries when it came to radical changes and Revolutions.
Napoleon Bonaparte is one of history’s most known figures. Napoleon Bonaparte was a hero to all people of France. Napoleon did a lot to help the people of France out with keeping the country safe. He also agreed with the French Revolution. Before Napoleon it was chaotic, and terrible.
Both Maximilien Robespierre and Napoleon Bonaparte used the revolution as a wave they rode to the power. Without the revolution, neither of them would have gotten to the position that they did. It is true that they both had to work themselves up to get there. They went to schools to educate themselves and the revolution liked the people who were educated. People like lawyers and doctors were voted to the National Assembly to represent the common people of France. A lot of the well-educated people had a much bigger chance to grow as leaders and get to the power. The ones who took their positions seriously and used the revolution to help them get to the power were mainly Maximilien Robespierre and Napoleon Bonaparte.
This is important because in some ways he did help France after the revolution even if he was a dictator. He did provide stability with his very strict laws. Even if his ways of acquire power and land were not ethical he paved the way for change in Europe and most importantly France. He did not have to do many of the arbitrary things he did during his rule however. There were many unnecessary actions he took.
He was one of the most influential people of the French revolution, and was the political figurehead of France after Louis XVI was executed. Maximilien did not believe in forgiving the rioters in the French Revolution and instead executed them and began the Reign of Terror, something he believed was necessary.
The revolution resulted, among other things, in the overthrow of the Bourbon monarchy in France and in the establishment of the First Republic. It was generated by a vast complex of causes, the most important of which were the inability of the ruling classes of nobility, clergy, and bourgeoisie to come to grips with the problems of state, the indecisive nature of the monarch, impoverishment of the workers, the intellectual ferment of the Age of Enlightenment, and the example of the American Revolution. Recent scholarship tends to downplay the social class struggle and emphasize political, cultural, ideological, and personality factors in the advent and unfolding of the conflict. The Revolution itself produced an equally vast complex of
Marie – Joseph Paul Yves Roch Guilbert du Motier, Maquis de Lafayette (1757 – 1834) was a French military leader who played a large role in America’s victory in the Revolutionary War. He was a tall fiery man with high status and a large adoration for American liberty (Boy’s Life). He devoted everything in his life at the time to join the rebels as well as risked being imprisoned for disobedience. His connections through his wealth and his own personal excitement for the rebel leaders’ beliefs gave America a large boost that lead to their victory (UXL).
Marquis de Lafayette was a leading figure in the American and French Revolution. Lafayette was a French nobleman and a military commander. He helped the Americans defeat the British at Yorktown. He

Without a doubt Louis Riel was a very important part of the national policy, he stood in the way of it with rebellions and plenty of other things. When he was a bit younger his start into treason began, There was some surveyors looking at the landing rupert's land and Louis Riel sent them away! There was no reason for this but the metis people wanted the land, but this land was not theirs because of no legal papers.S.J.A.M was trying to use the land for new immigrants settling in canada but couldn't do so because of the metis people being there. Some would say this was the Metis land and home, but the new immigrants needed it more. This is another reason about how Riel and the Metis people stood in the way of the national policy.
Title- The road from Versailles: Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, and the fall of the French Monarchy
The French desired a representative government, but Napoleon truly believed that the French needed some sort of monarchy. So Napoleon decided to bring forth a monarchy that would be more efficient, and more powerful than any other Monarchy created in the “Ancien Regime”. So with this, he decided to completely undermine the French, everything they fought for in the early Revolution, would be torn to pieces, and the Equality that they wished upon would no longer be. So do I think Napoleon brought forth Enlightenment, no I don’t. I am sure the French were disappointed by this.
The French Revolution produced countless influential politicians throughout its tumultuous course. As a political figure in the French Revolution, Jean Paul Marat began as a nonentity and became a martyr to the revolutionary patriots of France. His influence is often misconstrued, and sometimes overlooked. Although he was not a political leader like Robespierre, his influence was substantial in that he motivated many people through his writings and powerful personality. Through his involvement with the Cordeliers’ Club and his journal Ami du peuple, started September 1789, Marat was able to express the indignation of the bourgeois class through his hopes for social revolution. His
Before the French Revolution Louis XVI was in power, but in due time his old regime of absolute monarchy was brought down. Some people were in favor of this revolution wanting equality and some were not. One person who was in favor of this desire for equality and change was
The French Revolution was a time of cast conflict that dramatically altered the political and social order of France. Without the service and intelligence women
