One needs to be there to comfort them and keep them calm when needed to. Caring for people come with the job of being a nurse. If a person cannot care for the people they are helping, they will not surpass as a nurse. In order to be a nurse, one has to have a great deal of patience. In a single shift, one may have to deal with aggressive patients, angry family members, a grumpy co-worker or supervisor, and even some patients who have many “intestinal accidents.” To get through all this, one needs to keep positive and have a smile on their face.
When entering the healthcare system, accommodating patients should be a top priority for any nurse. A nursing job can be emotionally and physically exhausting. Because patients are in hospitals and home care facilities throughout the year, it never closes. This forces nurses to be away from their families on weekends and holidays. When having a heart of a nurse, the patient’s health outweighs

When I become a professional nurse, I will show compassion so I am able to provide effective care to patients who are undergoing physical pain and emotional stress. Two years ago, I became passionate about the medical field and becoming a nurse. There are plenty of unpleasant things to see, on the contrary, it is incredible of how many friendly relationships are made with the patients while taking care of them.
Compassion, Dedication, Responsibility, Empathy these are just some of the many things nurses should have when caring for a patient. I have had the opportunity to provide service at St. Elizabeth’s hospital. I worked with St. Elizabeth Hospital Patient Portal Program; I would go from room to room and ask each patient if he/she would like to set up their patient portal where they have the option to see their test results and all their medical history on an online database. Many thought this was an excellent idea. You would enter a patients room and see that their not in the best condition. Going in a patient’s room can be scary at times however, going into a situation confident that you maybe unsure about is the best thing you can do. After
We sneak ways to help them feel and seem better. Also getting respect from other residents is a great thing. They appreciate all your work and effort. Feeling good inside at the end of the day when they see improvement in their patients. The most challenging part of being a nurse is having to deal with unhappy patients. Patients that are experiencing pain, and being able to cure their disease because it's curable. Nurses have to show their patients positivity despite the fact that they are feeling sick. And then having to cope with their death, is the worst. Being on your feet for a very long 12 hour shifts is painful. R.N have to be very flexible and ready for anything thrown at them. There are many career paths in the nurse department. One of which is my second choice is a labor and delivery nurse. The things that I would dislike about this profession is that you will deliver babies that are dead. Having to give the baby to parents who aren't responsible. They either wanted murder the baby by overdose, drugs, or they neglected their body so the baby would suffer. The good things about being a labor and delivery nurse are plenty. They have so much fun. You never know what will

Nurses are known as the heart of health care. Being a nurse is a demanding job that requires commitment, but does not lack rewards. A fact stated by the American Association of Colleges of Nurses claims that “Nurses comprise the largest single component of hospital staff, are the primary providers of hospital patient care, and deliver most of the nation 's long-term care” (“Nursing Fact Sheet”). With many roles throughout the healthcare system as a whole, nurses are a large, very important role that interacts with every other part of the health care system. They have great qualities that not everyone has. They are highly compassionate, caring, professional, diligent and understanding individuals. A nurse experiences people at their worst and still care for patients in a way that no one else would. All these honest points prove that nurses are the most important members of the health care system because, nurses spend the most time with patients, nurses are the managers of patient care; they are teachers and are great with conflict resolution.
