Hunting is both beneficial and non beneficial. It may cause extinction of some species of animals ands it also helps regulate the over population of animals. Hunting can be seen both ways good or bad. Some people have different beliefs that hunting is inhuman or ruthless, and should be outlawed. Other people believe that it should be allowed and should be able to continue. Is hunting beneficial or not beneficial? Yes hunting Is beneficial to the environment in ways, it controls the population of animals under control and not explosive. In some ways it can not be beneficial to the environment people known as poachers over hunt or hunt species out of season. This is illegal and hunting should not be ruined by these people. Hunting
In America, deer are an animal hunted widely throughout our country. Each winter citizens have mixed emotions about the sport. Some say its barbaric and cruel, while others argue that it’s beneficial and useful. Although people may say hunting is cruel and barbaric, have they ever thought about the upsides to be gained from hunting? While this is a topic that can be argued viciously back and forth, I believe hunters win the argument. Deer hunting keeps the population down, protects farmers’ crops, boosts economic sales, betters a person’s mental health, and teaches lifelong lessons on respect. These are just a few of the amazing benefits that can be gained from hunting.
Hunting is a common activity all around the world, and if performed properly, can have many benefits to us and the rest of the planet. The art of hunting has been around since the beginning of time. Living off of the land used to be a necessity across the world, until the mass production of food came along. In America, people do not usually need to hunt to survive. However, the population of animal species needs to be controlled. Too many of one type of animal can cause a drastic change to any ecosystem. Food supplies decline quickly, leaving many animals without food. Hunting can help keep the population of a group of animals at a good number, making the lives of the other
Hunting has always been argued in being beneficial or critical to the environment. Especially, in recent world topics as well as the short story “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell. Mr. Sanger Rainsford in “The Most Dangerous Game” changes his opinion on hunting. The short story states, “The world is made up of two classes—the hunters and the huntees.” This quote illustrates that Rainsford is expressing his philosophy on what he believes hunting is, and not having a problem with it. As you can see, it is my position that hunting is beneficial to the environment because it balances out the ecosystem, and teaches humans the value of nature.
I personally agree that hunting is extremely necessary. I think that whether it's for food or for a sport it doesn't make a difference. I hunt so I can personally say that it is important and I can see why some people enjoy it. It takes a variety of skills and a lot of patients. It also does keep animal populations down which lowers the amount of road killed deer. This is extremely beneficial for drivers because when you hit a deer it can do a lot of damage to the vehicle and endanger the occupants of the
Hunting and fishing have been a part of the past and present of America and all around the world for as far back as the world dates. As far back as we can date, people have always hunted and fished. Back then they needed to because people need food to survive. Now hunting and fishing are starting to become sports. You may think that hunting and fishing can harm the environment, but there are many positive things about them. Hunting and fishing can have some positive effects and negative effects on the environment and economy, so if you don’t really agree with hunting and fishing maybe these facts will change your mind.
Hunting has become a staple of American traditions since the beginning of the first hunter/gatherers, to the Native Americans who have lived in the U.S for millennia, even all the way until present day. Much of today’s society looks at hunting as a cruel activity when in reality it has more of a positive effect on the environment than it does harm. There are an abundance of benefits that come from hunting. Some of the benefits of hunting are: it is the biggest contribution to conserving wildlife, the meat is healthier than commercially produced meat, many jobs are being supported out of hunting, and every hunter wants “to bag” the trophy animal; however, there are a few cons to this, which include poaching and interference by the activist
By definition, hunting is anything that involves killing game animals for food or sport. However, it is so much more than that. Beginning with the basics, the gear for hunting usually involves a firearm, bow, knife, or even sometimes dogs. Using these weapons, one can hunt anytime including day or night to take on the challenge of attempting to kill a game animal. These game animals can range anywhere from a varmint to an elk but mainly include mammals. The objective may be to either sit or wait for game or even sometimes attempting to stalk the target. Though this sport is sometimes underestimated for the amount of danger involved, it definitely has risks. Being in the wild with certain animals such as a bear can turn into a situation that could be life threatening if certain precautions aren’t taken. Furthermore, surrounding objects such as snakes or even the firearm being used can also pose a threat at times. Though there are plenty of animals to hunt, many people still see this as a sport that is unethical to the animals. Unlike other sports,
Hunting also benefits the economy in many ways. The civil right to hunt should not be encroached upon because hunting helps economy, allows hunters try new techniques to fit their reason of hunting. Hunting guidelines have changed as more people start to hunt. Game and Fish created
“Hunting is good for the environment because one it helps keep down on the deer herd and other animals that are hunted.”(Smith) ”When you hunt you help herds of animals from getting to over populated. When the deer herds are kept to a lower number there is less likely of a chance for diseases to start to get spread around in return killing off a lot of the deer herd. Hunting to keep down on the deer herd also helps prevent interbreeding. When there gets to be too many deer in one herd there is a good possibility that interbreeding can occur and then birth defects could occur as well as health problems. When deer herds are kept to a low number there is not as much of a chance for deer and vehicle crashes to happen. When there is smaller deer herds that are controlled by hunting the
Hunting is the practice of pursuing wildlife in order to kill it. Individuals who hunt do so for a variety of reasons while wildlife activists oppose hunters’ views and practices. Many people in rural areas of the United States hunt in order to harvest lean, organic, healthy meat for personal consumption. Some individuals hunt because it is tradition and a significant part of their heritage. Others choose to hunt as a means to escape the ins and outs of a chaotic society while taking in the serenity of the great outdoors in a therapeutic manner. Some hunters enjoy hunting for the thrill and the challenge of the chase. Other reasons people hunt include trophy hunting, travel to exotic locations, spending quality time with family and friends, and wildlife conservation. Individuals who are against hunting typically argue that hunting is inhumane and is considered cruelty to animals. Due to the benefits of properly managed ethical hunting, hunting should be legal within the United States.
When a Minnesota dentist killed a prized African lion named "Cecil" he received an onslaught of criticism and reignited the debate concerning hunting. I hunt. I have hunted for years and I don't see anything wrong with it. The reasons I hunt are for the meat, I think it tastes better than store-bought meat and it doesn't have any additives in it, and for the time I get to spend out in the mountains. However, there are some people who are against hunting.
Hunting has been a way of life for thousands of years. As long as humans have been on earth, they have been hunting to provide food for their families. For many decades now, hunting has started to cause conflict among people. One of the main issues that have cause conflict has been overharvesting. Overharvesting can also cause issues with habitat and may put a strain on the relationship between the predator and the prey. While there may be issues, there are also benefits of hunting. Hunting controls the population of certain species. Hunting is one of the long time traditional ways of controlling the population of animas such as the white tailed deer.
In a civilized and cultivated country, wild animals only continue to exist at all when preserved by sportsmen”("MARC FOLCO: Some hunting, fishing quotes to live by"). Hunters are the leading source for all conservation programs. Theodore Roosevelt was one of the most passionate hunters. People put down hunting like it’s a bad thing. Many hunters contribute billions of dollars the the economy. Hunting should not be banned because of the positive impacts it has on society.
Buzzle: Hunting Pros and Cons. Last but never least, sport hunting should be banned due to the fact that it causes the endanger and extinction of animal species. “One glaring negative of hunting for sport is over hunting. This occurs when hunters kill too many of a species, threatening their survival.” (Life123). Species become endangered when they are over hunted, and if hunters take it too far, the species will no longer exist. “…there are many animals that have been over-hunted and brought to near extinction, one example being the American Buffalo. Another example was the over-killing of the Cougar. Although this animal was hunted to protect cattle from being attacked, it led to this species nearly becoming extinct.” (Buzzle) The substandard thing about species becoming extinct is that they might not reappear until millions of years later. Imagine how long that would
