Memo on the Emotional Literacy Piece I really like the flexibility of writing this paper. The topic is very broad so I could write basically on anything that I want. As a writer who likes to do creative writing, I enjoy reminiscing memories before writing them down for the essay; I felt various emotions - joy, happiness, anxiety, fear - as I write the paper. Being able to write down your life story for others to read is a wonderful thing to do and I really enjoyed the process of outlining my experiences and crafting them into an emotionally powerful essay. I learned that outlining is very important before writing down your essay. Due to word limit constraints, I will not be able to express myself

The story of my history as a writer is a very long one. My writing has come full circle. I have changed very much throughout the years, both as I grew older and as I discovered more aspects of my own personality. The growth that I see when I look back is incredible, and it all seems to revolve around my emotions. I have always been a very emotional girl who feels things keenly. All of my truly memorable writing, looking back, has come from experiences that struck a chord with my developing self. This assignment has opened my eyes, despite my initial difficulty in writing it. When I was asked to write down my earliest memory of writing, at first I drew a blank. All of a sudden, it became very clear to me, probably because it had some
One of the constraints that effected the quality of this paper was the fact that the story was written five years after I experienced this amazing moment in my life. As a result of the time difference, small details were forgotten resulting in a lacking story. At the time, I was filled with emotion. Yet, with so many years between the experience and the time the story was actually written down, the exact emotions I felt at the time of the event were forgotten. Well written papers tend to have emotion laced throughout them. If I would have written the story right after it happened I know there would have been more feeling and details put in to the story that got forgotten over the years. Another constraint was the time allowed to write the paper. There was not enough time to dive in and process the story in the depth that would have made it a better paper. If more time would have been allowed I could have had more time to think about the moment when the amazing experience happened. By bringing up the old feelings felt in the moment, it would have allowed me to really thinking about what was being written
This piece allowed me to use personal stories, and discover quotes by notable individuals. Quotes are articles that make me extremely content. The fact that I was sanctioned to start the essay with a quote about love, and mention two individuals who are important to me made it easier to process sentences onto my paper. Also, this essay had a basic three paragraph format, so that familiarity created a smooth working process. When my environment and tasks are personal and relatable, my stress is relieved and I am forced to smile, making the Prairie Meadows Scholarship Essay paper the easiest to
The writing of my college essay was quite a process. Normally for me writing comes rather easy, I do not struggle putting my ideas on paper. At first I thought that this essay would be simple to do and not be very stressful. It turned out to be quite the opposite in fact, just brainstorming was a struggle for me. It was difficult for me to think about my life and how it is special. To me, the events that have shaped me do not seem that relevant, at 18 I had never really payed much attention to how certain things affected me, I just lived my life. eventually , with the help of Mary, I came to the realization that having my summer taken away from me due to a broken foot had really changed my life philosophy, it truly changed who I was and my outlook on life.

I have been writing since I have been in Middle School. I have realized that by college it was easier for me to write down my thoughts in order for me to remember what I have said or done. Writing out my thoughts gives me a sense of recollection, knowledge, and pacification that gets me through my day. I pictured writing to be as simple as jotting down a few sentences, but as I got farther in school I realized that there is more to it than just writing sentences. English has been my most difficult subject I have ever endured, but I have somehow been managing to make excellent grades and achieving all requirements. First in the essay, I will discuss my experiences in the English life that I’ve taken so far up until college. The second part will list my struggles in creating a thesis, a work cited, and properly citing my sources used in the papers.
Your essay should be written in the first person and should include a personal, reflective discussion, but should be scholarly and include a carefully
Throughout this paper I will be writing about my life, starting from my very first memory and ending with my life as it is now. Since I was brought into this world I had an older sister who is two and a half years older than I am. My parents said right away that my sister was so excited to have me in her life that she did not care that she was no longer the center of my parent’s attention. She acted as if I was her baby. When I was just starting out, as a toddler was the time that I started to develop my first memories, which are not all good. Lets start from the beginning, my first memory that I have of myself would be from when I was almost two years old. In this memory I was attending my papas funeral. I remember that there was the colour red everywhere, all over the walls and even on the seats. It was his favourite colour according to what my parents tell me. From this memory I also remember my parents walking me up to him during his wake and allowing my older sister and I to put a photo of us into his shirt pocket so we would always be with him. After this memory, my next one occurs when I am around the age of two as well. I remember being in my families first home sitting in our kitchen with my mom, on her lap wrapped in my little mermaid blanket, drinking a little bit of tea with her while we watched my older sister catch the bus to go to school. This is still one of my favourite memories because I truly fell that this helped shaped the person I am today. I also
Initially I will review these essays with regard to the seven principles of good essay writing standards. Then I will discuss my own strengths and weaknesses.
