The history of human services is more than 150 years of old and is closely attached to benevolent offerings and religious organizations. Human Service stretch to feeding the underprivileged, helping the sick, and assisting those less fortunate the list is vast. Human Services took a more professional role in 60’s to provide assistance for those in need. In the past the western beliefs has influenced the way things operate for the present and the future of the Human Services Field. In the past services were based on a person’s demographics such as age, ability to work, health status, and the availability of work. There are different cycles of helping different needs. The cycle of helping mental illness is providing facilities to treat mental disorders. Welfare is designed to help or assist financially with TANF, Childcare SNAP, and Medicaid. The cycle of helping in juvenile and criminal justice system in most cases takes an ethical dimension. It may be recommended to the person to change their behavior towards there self or another. Is what being done enough? It’s becoming difficult to determine who needs help the reason being for this is a lack of proper information from the giver and the receiver. Collaboration between the service providers may improve the assistance if communication remain open and steady. High caseloads can determine the impact of services such as quality of the services provided. There are many groups of people with both similar and different needs, we need to remember this will only continue to grow. Population, immigration, the length of life is not all, but a few factors directly linked to human
