Humble And Kind By Tim Mcgraw: Song Analysis

The song "Fast" by Luke Bryan was released in 2015 on the album Kill the Lights. This song is important to me because it was the first song that made me like country, made me realize things, and to enjoy life.

I chose “Chicken Fried” by Zac Brown Band because of the great lyrics and the great country feel this song has. The lyrics talk about fried chicken and the great country of United States of America. It has a great country feel that you can be in the car with your friends, the windows rolled down, sun out, and sing every word to on a hot summer day.

One of my favorite songs is Live Like You Were Dying by Tim McGraw, and it is a song about living life to the fullest. People should always live life to the fullest because you never know when it will be taken away from you. By singing “When it sank in That this might really be the real end How's it hit you When you get that kind of news? Man, what'd you do?” (McGraw), Tim McGraw is showing his listeners that sometimes life is taken away from you earlier than expected. Later in the song McGraw says “I was finally the husband That most of the time I wasn't And I became a friend a friend would like to have” (McGraw). These three lines show the listeners that in a person’s last days, they realize what is most important in life. McGraw’s lyrics

The song “My Best Friend” is sung by an American Country singer named Tim McGraw. This song is about a guy who had a miserable life until he found the right girl. He describes the girl as a lover, life partner, and best friend. Tim McGraw’s song represents what Yale psychologist Robert Sternberg would call consummate love. To him, “Consummate, or complete love, results when all three components are present” (Sternberg 134).

September 11, 2014 my father passed away, so now not only the memory of 9/11 will be on my mind, but also the only father I have ever known.
