With proper education, it can help shape an individual's future; education is the foundation of the way of life today, it is needed and required everywhere in the world. Those who strive to be employed, make money, or do something great in the future has to rely on education to get them there. Education is mandatory to become an engineer, doctor, teacher, astronaut etc.; the skill required to be able to do any type of work is gained from learning the basics and having a clear understanding of it. An individual's success depends mainly on their talent and hardwork. Although we rely on education, we as well rely on that individual's strength, determination, and perseverance. Education is the light of our livings, is the key to success. Without education we wouldn't have reached the moon, or invent an intern-ate. It's big and important topic that deserve to look and spent time. As we know, the k-12 grade are the base of the higher education. Schools can make or destroy students . students go to school for at least twelve years before they go to a higher education. The right schools could prepares student to university and college education level. That's the reason we need charter schools .

Malcolm X once said “education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today”. From adolescence to adulthood almost every person is put through schooling. As one gets older in age, the education they obtain becomes more rigorous in order to stretch their minds far beyond two plus two or what color the sky is. The strategies of critically thinking and being able to analyze/decipher information in front is them is reinforced routinely in the educational system. With this being said, the purpose of education is to aid in enhancing one’s qualification, socialisation, and subjectification skills within the society regardless of how or where one’s education was obtained.

In the United States of America, children and students learn that we are a nation of “freedom” and that our homeland is the “land of opportunity.” While the rest of the world can’t say the same, America is different in this regard. This teaching aspect raises the question that do Americans truly have freedom or liberty to have the opportunity to choose our destiny? The freedom and opportunity to have the right of attending school, college, having a job or career, or even deciding what we want to do with our life revolves around our choices. The illusion that Americans are truly “free” or the idea that we have the “opportunity” to do whatever we choose is just a false belief blockaded by the advancements of society.

An article from Center For America Progress states that "By people with a postsecondary education, our nation's economy will have people having the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are best acquired" (Bergeron ,and Martin). By having all skills the U.S. workforce would have an increase by keeping up with other country's economy. Occupation's that can help our society by going to college are scientist, engineers, and physician. These can help our society by having scientist finding cures, cures for illnesses ,and etc. Engineers plan and design things like highways, buildings and bridges. Physicians help be treating people with illnesses and etc.

Two social institutions that have impacted my current status at CSU Stanislaus are education and the economy. For the entirety of our childhood, we are in school. We are educated on how to survive in this world and in society. We are trained and prepared for

the lowest levels of education have the highest rates of unemployment. So a stronger appliance of the educational system can steer society towards positive growth, centered around a successfully working unit that can produce better workers and create greater welfare. On the other hand, these workers will also create a more productive society that will eventually cause GDP per capita levels to increase, as well as economic expansion and the international status of the country in general. Education can very well create highly skilled workers, but that doesn’t eliminate the fact that the quantity of working positions

If a high school wants to go to college, a high school diploma is needed. Also, if a person does not go to college after high school, he or she is still eligible to go to college later in life. A high school diploma will help a person make more than minimum wage as well as give opportunities for raises and promotions. Students are taught to write, figure out math equations, and discipline study habits. These method will help a person in the future when he or she is presented an opportunity. For example, a person who wants a job needs to write an essay about their personality. Graduates will have the basic training on how to write the perfect essay and nail their job interviews!

Here in the United States education is modeled after our capitalist society which means education holds the interest of industrialization and its image. For example we separate stints into subjects for specific job or career. Through sociology's functionalism and conflict theory and symbolic interactionism people can see how the United States education system functions.

The purpose of schooling has been misunderstood for many years. Many parents think and understand schooling as a way of equipping their children for the sake of their future careers.

So what are the reasons for going to school? To begin with, learning is a continuous process throughout life and that one should never be contented with whatever he has learned; on the other hand, education equips people with the necessary skills needed to solve the problems facing modern society. Finally, education connects the past and the present to predict the future. Whichever way one takes it, education has nothing to do with securing a job. In the essence, after one has acquired education, he is ready to use the knowledge to solve problems that face society. Among the problems are formulating economic and social policies, contributing to the political development and planning for the future of the people.
