The De-Vinyl Record Store can benefit immensely from these proposed information systems by:
1. Automatically organizing vital information
2. Saving time and money

4. Keeping track of the fundamental information
5. The information will be accurate
Information systems are used to save valuable time and money by eliminating the bulk of manual labor. These will also provide many options from communicating with both the employees and the customers to the elimination of many tedious inaccurate processes.
Drawbacks of the Information Systems

Disadvantages
Expensive
System Failures
Inaccuracy
Needs manual assistance
Eliminates jobs
Affects the environment
Information systems are very costly for the initial set-up, which must be updated and maintained periodically. A backup file of the information is required in case the system crashes, and the data cannot easily be retrieved. If incorrect information is put into the system it can cause an inaccuracy in the data and may need manual assistance to correct. With enhanced technology, many overlapping jobs can be eliminated because a large portion of the workforce is no longer needed. The surrounding environment may be compromised because of the way these have been manufactured.

Information system is a combination of hardware, software, infrastructure as well trained personnel who organized and facilitate planning, control, coordination and decision making within an organization. Information systems are also able to implement a vital integrated set of components for collecting, storing, and processing data. This system have a vast variety of components that are crucial for a enterprise, business to function at his highest level, IT software is responsible that all system are reliable and up to date.
This paper will discuss how an information system is critical to the business process of an organization and how the information has impacted the organization 's structure.
A change control process for information technology systems is important to ensure that the continuity of the business is maintained, and that no data is lost due to changes to the system. There is always the possibility that a change to an information technology system may have unforeseen or undesired results. It is of the utmost importance to have a pre-defined process for a non-destructive rollback of any upgrades or changes. Having a mechanism for approval and notification to effected users of system changes can help avoid confusion, mistrust, and loss
To help support this every organisation has an Information system. The UK academy for Information Systems defines information systems as “the means by which organisations and people, using information technologies, gather, process, store, use and disseminate information”
The Riordan Industries corporate office has been performing a research project to consolidate their financial processes and production software packages. Not one of the three offices or corporate use the same system, which makes data collection, verification, and reporting difficult at best. They need to have a uniform business system throughout all the facilities, as well as procedures implemented in order to attain this goal of seamless data collection they are hoping to achieve. The customer will need to upgrade all their hardware in addition to their current software packages.
Also by these systems the company reduced its business cost and maintains the information and the data very updated form.
It is generally accepted that information is a vital commodity for the successful operation of today’s organizations. Nowadays modern business organizations are using computerized information systems in order to obtain such information. However as the technology advances rapidly the main issue is how can an organization should effectively use such an information system - which its management sometimes can be unpredictable - in order to effectively help the whole organization structure to improve and take the most out of it.
An information system is a base in today’s business world. Everything is electronic. In various businesses, the survival and ability to succeed strategic business goals is challenging without extensive use of information system. Businesses improve the efficiency of their operations in order to accomplish higher profitablity. Besides that, information systems are important tools available to managers for achieving higher levels of efficiency and productiviy in business operations. For an example, Zara uses the PDA technology to gather customer feedback and input.
As the new technology and fast evolution of software, keeping information system efficiency became a challenge. On the enterprise side, the company’ operation, inventory, and logistics systems are the key to success. On the customer side, the high quality and satisfied experience from the user interface is very important. Moreover, the establish and develop a new technology is costly and different.
Information technology is a rapidly growing part of today's society. It affects everyone's life in many aspects. Every human endeavor is influenced by information technology and the increasing rate at which what it can perform includes. One area of human endeavor that information technology has greatly influenced is the practice of medicine, specifically veterinary medicine. Not only has veterinary medicine been influenced by information technology, it has also been enhanced by it. The degree to which the practice of veterinary medicine includes information technology is observable at the Animal Emergency Clinic of Central New York on Erie Blvd. in Syracuse, New York.
Management is one of the most important human activities and has critical impact on life, growth, development or destruction of an organisation. In an organisation, managers with any rank or status should understand their basic duties i.e. maintaining a sustainable conductive environment where people can fulfil their commitments and objectives through collaborative approach. (Akhtar, 2011) A manager is responsible to achieve the business’s goals, visions and objectives by planning, organising, leading and controlling. Dubrin (1994) stated that in every organisation each member of staff must plan, organise, make decisions, and control the resources they need to accomplish the results expected
There are very many types of information systems. Classification of information systems follows the organizational levels in which they are used or installed for use. For instance, there are management information systems; some of which will be covered in this project report. Management information systems (MIS), helps businesses meet their business objectives. Almost all organizations and businesses today use management information systems; be it large, small, startup or an established multi-national. This is for the sole reason that information systems have evolved from just being a tool to gain competitive advantage for businesses, to a vital tool, a necessity in the digital age we live in. Management Information Systems help managers make better-informed decisions and communicate with their superiors, as well as with all the stakeholders in the businesses their organizations are involved in.
