I created an informative poster for the multimodal portion of this project. An informative poster is meant to have just enough information on it to catch a persons attention, but not too much that it overwhelms an individual because then they will not pay attention to the poster. Although there may not be many words, the poster needs to captivate a viewer so that they will further want to look at the organization that created the poster. The title of my informative poster is Hybrid Learning and it is created to help get the hybrid courses more publicized, because as of right now many students and staff are unaware of the great potential that hybrid courses have to offer. By creating this poster I am hoping that a student will see the benefits …show more content…
This is because a poster does not typically have an excessive amount of information, but rather a few statements and facts that will lead the viewer to want to find out even more information. One way to captivate a viewer’s attention is by using questions to make the reader be directly connected to whatever the topic may be. I placed an open-ended question at the top right corner of the poster and it asks “Students around the world are doing it, so why aren’t you?” and this will grab any person passing by regardless if they are my target audience or not. The “you” in the question makes the poster relatable to individuals and this is where most people will be drawn in to find out what this question is asking of them. The word choice is very important in the informative poster, but the structure of a sentence is often times not present. Rather than sentences, the poster has bulleted points that carry the bulk of words on the poster. In my poster I decided to only have the clear portrayed of all the information, so that way people will feel encouraged to find out more and to see the positive reasons as to what would occur if they enrolled in a hybrid course. The red ribbon ends the bullet points and is an abrupt break in the poster, because I wanted it to pop so that if a person were to not give the poster much time, then at least they would see that “hybrid learning has higher success rates,” which would make the viewer see the word hybrid learning and then trigger them to find out what it means. To emphasize to viewers the most important parts to remember, I capitalized the words. This way the audience is being guided through the poster and seeing every aspect that I find most influential to an them which will inevitably make them consider enrolling in a hybrid

Purpose: After listening to my speech, the audience will be more educated on Texas’s roadside attractions, as well as relate to the sites I will discuss in my presentation.
1. This informative speech on “The Cause of Homelessness “is very Inform able and worth listening to, because in today’s economy it could be you or me. Some seem to think homelessness is choice. I find this speech relevant to the world I live in today, due to the high unemployment rate, declining job market, and the economic hardships that families are enduring. This topic is not a broad one, but yet can be spoke of in depth due to the fact I see many homeless people but never thought it would be me until I seen a family friend who has lost everything, this is what made me more aware that it is not just a choice and any day it could be me. So when you see
Laughter relates to positive thinking. The positive thinking helps us to improve our immune system and become healthier. It helps in removing the negative thoughts from our mind and not letting our immune system become worse further.
Transition signal: In conclusion, the next time you fill up your gas tank might not be cheaper, but at least you will know why you are paying more for gas.
Goals that we were aiming for in this project was to create a neat as well as a detailed poster. To assure that we would have enough time to complete
Cheerleading began for me at the age of twelve. In the past I had played soccer, basketball, softball, did ballet. Basically every activity my mom could possibly put me in. All of those activities were okay, but cheerleading became something that was special to me. I first began cheering in middle school for the Hazelwood West Junior Wildcats. I cheered on the team throughout middle school literally dedicating all of my free time to cheerleading. I lived, ate, and dreamed cheer. I went on to continue cheering throughout my high school career, cheering for all Hazelwood West athletics, including: soccer, football, basketball, and wrestling. I was a hardcore dedicated athlete, and I had spirit like no other. From
Finally, we decided to focus on the design and style of the posters, as well as some of the rhetoric appeals used, rather than talking about the topic itself. Thus, we concluded that our main point would be what we considered to be our strongest aspect of the posters, which we determined was the balance between pathos and logos in the posters. By choosing two posters to display data and facts, and two to display emotion-evoking images and messages, we determined that we provided enough variety of information so that an individual that is either interested in the facts of this topic or that is interested in the morality of this topic could be persuaded to pursue more information on this topic, or even heed our call for advocacy. Although we were met with some issues concerning time and a difference in both topic and design choices, we completed the poster series in a manner we were quite satisfied
I want to share with you about a process that can be helpful in determining a major. The process includes determining possible college majors of interest, collecting data
Complete the poster presentation using one of the templates provided as a guide. The poster presentation must include a description of the selected topic, the components of the topic, why there is a need for change, the theory you will use for a change to occur, and an evaluation plan for the change. The finished Assignment should be a Poster Project, excluding the title page and references. The writing should be well ordered, logical, and unified, as well as original and insightful;
Create a 5-6 minute presentation using PowerPoint visuals. Make sure your PowerPoint follows the guidelines discussed in class. The purpose of the presentation should be to inform the audience. For ideas of topics, you may consider looking at issues of Crains’ Chicago, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, cnn.com, The Huffington Post, NPR.org, Slate, Wired, or industry-specific papers/journals in your area of study.
I. (Gain attention and interest) Many of us have encountered 3D technology at one point in our lives such as the red and blue comics usually found at the back of magazines, or a have watched a 3D movie at IMAX. It is with no doubt that, we all find this technology to be a fascinating one.
The piece I have created is a poster reflecting the three principles for making economic decisions, plus trusting in God’s providence to change the world. I used ink pens and coloured pencils to showcase images reflecting solidarity for the earth and one another. Solidarity means unity, it’s a society standing together for the greater good. In the centre of the poster a group of people are seen consoling one another and showing empathy. Their unity and efforts to help one another reflect the the theme of solidarity. Surrounding this image, are pictures that reflect the three principles for making economic decisions such as promoting human dignity by helping the poor, reflecting that the earth was made for all beings, and caring for the earth
The major benefit of having a multimodal learning style is that it “allows students to experience learning in ways in which they are
