Rock and roll is about passion and honesty. In this paper I will describe how one band and another artist used their talents to fuel these traits. I will outline the events that lead up to the British invasion, what influenced the Beatles while dominating the world, and how they influenced the world around them. As time moves forward, I will describe the changing tides in the seventies and eighties for women’s rights and how Madonna used her music as a voice for those who couldn’t be heard.
In performances, Brooks' high-energy stage show reflects his admiration for theatrical rock bands such as Queen and Kiss. Having sold more than one hundred million albums since 1989, Brooks has easily outdistanced his competition, becoming the best-selling solo artist in history.

One of the most influential groups of the 20th Century—the Beatles revolutionized rock and roll into what we know it as today. Not only were they great musicians, they wrote and composed each of their songs. The band proved to be popular and exciting causing mass hysteria at each of their public performances. The “Fab Four’s” talent was so great that the phenomenon was termed “Beatlemania” in Britain and eventually erupted in the United States being called the British Invasion of the Beatles (Britannica Online, 2005).
A “blues based rock band” GnR crossed over from rock to popular music, they were labelled as the most dangerous band in the world, but they were also the most popular. While their popularity soared, no one prepared them for superstardom. Substance abuse, power struggles and constantly living under the microscope of the press took its toll on their relationship. Where once they were a family, a gang of five, outside influences took a “divide and conquer

One of the performances featured GoldFord. They blended classical music and modern styles into terrific songs of pop and soul. They sang a lot using their voices, it was a good performance. GoldFord also used guitars and drums in the songs. One of the songs was about the style that people have, and that nobody has a style like that are the same.
Back in the 1900’s, baseball was a national sport. Everyone loved to play it. The little boys played catch with their fathers and the men played on teams, while the women stayed at home doing the laundry and washing the dishes. But that all changed one day… Queen of the Diamonds is a terrific book with an amazing message, strong characters and facts about the 1900’s that I think should win the Nutmeg Book Award.
Music is the art of combining vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) to produce beauty of form, harmony and expression of emotion and it has always been an integral part of American culture. People of any race, age or social class can enjoy music as a popular form of entertainment. There are many different kinds of music, but Rock & Roll is one of the biggest and most popular. Rock & Roll began as a mixture of blues and country music and has been ever evolving while spawning numerous additional genres that share its roots. Many of today’s megahit artists have credited their style and success to the trailblazers of the early commercial music scene. From dive bars to huge arenas, most artists are out to accomplish the same thing: to tell a story.
Would you think it’s appalling if you had a normal band and you were trying to be an influence to a genre of rock and roll, then someday you were. People like your music and without giving up, you keep trying during hard times. If you want it so bad you might actually have your dream come true. While Queen was trying was trying to get people to love them, they had a lot of disappointments and accomplishments. To how they met, came up with their band name, accomplishments, disappointments, their concert and tour experiences, and their legacy, shows they influenced the rock and roll genre. Despite the bands ups and downs, Queen was an influential band in the 1970`s, that had a unique sound, name, and

Rock and roll holds a lot of dirty secrets, fortunately for Queen’s lead singer Freddie Mercury has a more colorful mystery. Queens album “A Night at The Opera” released a single in 1975 called “Bohemian Rhapsody”, which sent listeners in a whirlwind of up beat rhythms. Behind the elegant vibratos and shredding guitar solos, “Bohemian Rhapsody” is Mercury peeling away his rock star persona by confessing his homosexuality through religious allusions and creative metaphors. Like any confession Mercury starts off by apologizing to his mother, metaphorically stating he is done with playing as a straight male claiming that life style is behind him.
Believe it or not, on January 1st of 1962, the group known as The Beatles flunked their audition at Decca Records in London, England. The label’s executive, Dick Rowe, brushed them off like they were nothing. He simply stated that “guitar groups are on the way out.” Little did Rowe know, The Beatles would soon conquer modern society and alter the course of pop and rock music. There have been no other entertainers in the history of music that has been so popular, influential, or as groundbreaking as The Beatles. In the early 1960’s, their popularity was often called “Beatlemania,” as thousands of screaming fans would crowd their concerts and sing-along with the Fab Four. They sold over 600 million albums internationally and had 20 Number One hit singles – a Billboard record that has yet to be broken. The band took over the entertainment media with music videos and films, but also influenced sociocultural, political, and fashion movements throughout the sixties and seventies. From experimenting with several different genres to incorporating classical elements into their melodies, The Beatles still reigns as one of the most creative and successful bands several decades later. Today, fifty years later, The Beatles and their music are still engraved in the hearts of many.
