Introduction: Jaguar is one of the most popular automobile company in the world. The Jaguar Company was earlier owned by Ford Group and now been over taken by Tata Motors. The company manufactures cars and other vehicles that are commercial and non commercial. The most successful model of the Jaguar Company is Jaguar S-type. The company has been applying the change process from last so many decades. The main idea behind applying lean production system is to decline wastage and errors that actually adds to the cost of production. In addition the Jaguar Company applies JIT or Just in Time technique wherein the assembling of automobiles takes place just when the order comes in. Finally Kaizen technique is applied that help in achieving continuous improvement in the business process. Lean principles: The lean principles motivates to achieve different benefits such as identifying values, map the value stream, create flow, establish pull and seek perfection. These principles can be applied in this case study as follows. Identifying value: Jaguar Company and its management have been looking for adding value to the customer. The Jaguar Company has applied six sigma approach, JIT technique, Kaizen and lean production system through which it intends to achieve various long term goals and objectives. The company has found that in the highly competitive environment where various other global brands are producing homogenous products, it would be rather better to achieve cost
“Lean is a systematic approach to identifying and eliminating waste (non-value-added activities) through continuous improvement by flowing the **product at the pull of the customer in pursuit of perfection.” Lockwood [24].
Jaguars are very unique animals that are located in Central and South America. They consider being mammals and live only up to twenty two years. Jaguar is muscular and large animal of the family Panthera onca, also they are relative to tigers, and lions, panthers. This animal is not very tall and big, Jaguar is six to seven feet long with tail included (tail is about twenty to thirty inches long.) Male jaguars of course are stronger and heavier than female. The female can stand up to twenty- three inches tall while male can up to thirty inches. They have very flexible bodies and are adapted for running and climbing. Jaguars have very muscular limbs and paws with very soft pads that contains in their bodies sweat glands. Jaguars weight between sixty eight and one thirty six kilograms. They considered being the largest cats in the Americas, at the same time they are the only representatives of the genus Panther.
“The killer which overcomes its prey in a single bound.” The definition of ‘yaguar’, the Indian origin of the word Jaguar. Due to natural habitat loss, the largest cat in America is slowly, but surely becoming extinct with a mere count of 15,000 said to be left. Bi-national conservation efforts have been successful at protecting a small population of 80 to 120 cats in the remote mountains of Sonora, Mexico bordering Arizona. This population is the largest of three known to remain in Sonora, and is the last hope for recovery in the United States.
A keystone species is a plant or animal that has a disproportionately large effect in its ecosystem, relative to its size or abundance. Removing a keystone species from its environment could cause a lot of harm and damage. One problem Central America is facing is the extinction of plants, animals, and insects. The main cause is the deforestation that is going on in the Amazon rainforest which leads to habitat loss. Poaching them for their fur is also a big cause. One animal that is being harmed by this is the jaguar. When a predator is removed from its environment, it can cause a trophic cascade of effects in the environment. A trophic cascade is the effects felt through the ecosystem from the elimination of
The reason that I chose to do a jaguar is because I thought it would be interesting to find out things about a jaguar and their family. One thing that I thought was interesting is that the jaguars is one of the largest cats in America. One thing I knew about this animal before i started my paper is that it really did not eat a lot of plants. I also knew that the jaguars lived in the wild with the lions and tigers.
Jaguars will eat anything they can get their jaws around.(3) the mighty jaguar has roamed many lands and landmarks.(2) The jaguar is a top level carnivore that keeps things equally balanced in the animal kingdom by what it chooses to eat.(2) jaguar is interesting because of its habitat, appearance, and reproduction.

Having in mind what Lean is not, and acknowledging that Lean is about eliminating waste and constant improvement, there are few core principles of the

“big” cats. The jaguar is closely related to the Leopard and have a number of similar characteristics especiallThe Jaguar is scientifically known as the Pantera onca. It is considered to be one of the world’s y the distinctive spotted fur. It is often confused with the leopard because of the similar brownish/yellow base fur colour which is distinctively marked with dark rosette markings. However, the jaguar can be distinguished by the presence of small dots or irregular shapes within the larger rosette markings, a more stocky and muscular body and a shorter tail. The jaguar is known for its power and swiftness. Its name comes from the word yagar which means “he who kills with one leap”. Despite its agility it has been hunted for many years
The lean thinking has been established in a well manner in the competitive world. The countless business industries have proved their effective growth in terms of brand recognition and in terms of the good profit amount with the effective application of the lean production system in their operational activities. Toyota has added their name in the application of the lean thinking in their production process first in the global competitive market. The book “the Gold mine” written by Freedy and Michael Balle is a definite attempt to highlight the challenges that the leaders are facing in the perfect transformation of the lean thinking in their operational activities. This essay has discusses the direct connection between the content the
The Japanese automakers such as Toyota are dangerous competitors for the General Motors Corporation and the have scrambled for quite a large part of market shares if the GM in America and the global markets. The Japanese competitors cut down the cost tremendously by lean production. However, the production cost is still high in the General Motors Corporation. And the inefficiency of production cause the high price of its automobiles and the market share shrinks accordingly. (Coffey, 2005) Especially in face of the financial crisis, the General Motors Corporation has much to learn form lean production to cut down its production prices.
This essay is going to analyze a case study based on lean thinking principles and techniques. It is could divide in four significant parts. First, to outline the definitions of Lean manufacturing philosophy and applied the strategies to achieving, next create future state Value Stream Map, Furthermore justification Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques, which would appropriate, and critically discussed the key successful should his idea to the Evenort Company.
Lean manufacturing originated long before Toyota and Ford, however the thought that it originated with Toyota is flattering since they are the ones who perfected it. By creating the Toyota Production System (TPS), Toyota found a better way to produce large quantities of product efficiently with eliminating the waste factor and while cutting down cost. Taiichi Ohno a former Toyota vice president promoted the idea of JIT (Just-in-Time) which means “producing the necessary units in the necessary quantities at the necessary time.” (Monden) Which leads to Toyota’s ultimate goal in the TPS is to improve productivity for better return in investment. To have continuous flow in a production system Toyota sought out to achieve the concept of JIT and autonomation . Since the TPS is what creates the parts who monitors the JIT system? The kanban system which is an informational system that controls quantities being produce in each process. As the discussion carries on throughout this paper about Toyota and their use of the kanban system the topic
Lean is a process where creating more value to customers by minimizing wastage, time with less resources. Lean organization understand the customer value and try to increase proceed which adding more value to the business. In order to accomplish the lean thinking
