November 1, 2017, I job shadowed my mother Genie. Genie is the manager and co-owner with my father of The New Jester's Lounge and they have been running the business for over thirty years. Jester’s is a bar/restaurant with a friendly atmosphere that stands as its own building. They have tasty food, pool tables, a dart machine, a dance floor, state lottery, and an ATM machine. Throughout the day, Genie had a day full of multiple tasks back to back. Monday through Thursday Genie works from 12pm to 10pm and on Friday and Saturday she works from 5:30pm to 4am. During the day there were a lot of things that needed to be done while she still had to keep an eye on her staff, she balanced out the register from days sales, balanced out credit …show more content…
I also enjoyed that I got to learn new things throughout the day, such as how to count a till, manage and fill an ATM machine, and how to do payroll. It’s all knowledge that’s important into managing a business and it’s something that’s useful to know for your regular knowledge. While I was there I also had the chance to learn how to organize, handle, and manage money better. Not only is this useful for work but it’s useful for handling my own money in general. Even though there was a lot that was needed to be taken care of during the day, I learned still learned multiple new things and I would go back to learn more. There wasn’t really anything that I didn’t enjoy during the day, everyone was welcoming, kind, and I learned a lot while I was there. Yet one thing I enjoyed the least was the stress behind everything because there is so much that needs to be done and needs to be done right. I noticed while I was there that the money needs to be handled carefully and counted correctly because it’s easy to make mistakes, and if the money comes out short then it’s money that comes out of the owners own pocket. Another thing I didn’t exactly love was how much there was needed to learn. Personally, I don’t mind taking the time to learn everything and seeing what it’s really like to be informed on everything, It’s that I only had so much time
looked forward to the most, and my business projects and presentations were the most challenging
Life teaches us lessons every day. Sometimes when we are in the midsts of frustration or confusion we never see clearly or understand the lesson from the situations we are put in. It is only through moments of reflection when a person can begin to see how certain situations have shaped their way of thinking or doing things. For a little over half a year, I worked a part time job during my senior year of high school at Panera Bread. During my time there i was able to observe and see all kinds of different family dynamics and people walk through the door every day. It was strange, it was different, and it was amazing all at the same time to see all of those different walks of life. A favorite memory of mine there that I will never forget occurred on Super Bowl Sunday night. Looking back on my experience from that frustrating night, I find that i learned the value of teamwork, work relationships, and I learned how the most unpleasant situations can turn into great unexpected surprises.
I got to experience hands on waitressing Paper from and computer. Having to make my own drinks sometimes. Also counting money. this experience has led me to a bob I got later on that year, Cage Cashier at the Grand Hinckley Casino. I had to count money my hole shift. I worked with some pretty awesome people and I got to meet a lot of great guest. If I had to pick this would be my favorite job I ever had. I really looked up to the people I worked with they always seemed to find a way to make me happy even when I was sad. They have always been there to help me when I needed it.
While working, I gained knowledge in the aspect of economics. It made me realize that the economic world is more complicated than I originally thought. Dealing with real estate documents and foreclosure letters, I not only gained intellectual knowledge through economic jargon, but also gained emotional growth. I learned how to best deal with people going through tough times, and ensure that their goals are met.

Job shadowing is a great learning experience for people that are mostly in the grade 10 phase because it helps you make your mind up about which career field you want to go into when you are older.
Walking by a sixth grade class at Floyd Elementary School, FES, I see a class full of students learning and growing, and I know I want to be a part of that. I want to go to work everyday to change children’s lives for the better, which is something I’ve wanted to do my whole life. That is why I am asking you for the opportunity to job shadow one of your FES teachers every day for a full school week in order to see what teaching is really like. As you know, deciding what I want my career to be is a crucial step in planning my future. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in exploring my choices.
While our trip was a great learning experience, my favorite part was when we were able to go in and watch first-hand how the cash was being handled as well as how it was being destroyed. Watching the employees work and the different types of machines and necessary items used was the more eye-catching experience of the whole trip for me. Being able to actually witness these lengthy processes while Ms.
Another reason why I chose this day is because of the other students. They welcomed me like I had always gone to
His best day, he says, is always the day after the Fourth of July, when the town returns to normal after the craziness that comes with Independence Day. He advises young students to make sure that there is always a need for your service or product. Be sure to excel in customer relations; try to be a people person. What keeps any good business running is people being happy with the product and being happy with the way that they receive it.

For example, one of the more exciting and new experiences was working with other classmates on our group project. It was, as stated, not as terrifying as I thought it was going to be. I learned more than I ever expected about social media use in libraries, and I feel like this knowledge will be useful information in the future. Also, it was simply fun working and collaborating with a group online.
In the competitive world today, having a college degree might not benefit a student as much as before, thus opening up numerous questions concerning its necessity. Not only is the number of students desperately trying to enroll in college increasing, but the tuition shoots up as well. However, will college enrollment necessarily be enough to increase your chances of attaining job security? The answer is hotly debated amongst adults and students alike, which opens up the second option for students, that is, joining the work force. Although this option is generally shunned by the new generation, the tough economy and slow restoration makes it quite a desirable choice at the moment. Joining the work force is a hard decision to make as it
Now a day employers look for many skills in workers. There are many reasons why worker are not get a job or they are getting fired, but there is one reason why that is happening.
