James Madison ensured that the American government did not become a Tyranny by writing a new Constitution. The Articles of Confederation became a problem for the United States because they did not work. So in 1787, 55 delegates were called to Philadelphia for a Constitutional Convention. They faced the challenge of creating a new Constitution that could hold the federal government and the states government together without letting any one person gain too much power. The new Constitution guarded against Tyranny by using federalism, separation of powers, checks and balances and fair representation in Congress.

Ultimately, the constitution was successful. The argument and opposition only allowed for a stronger foundation. John Adams is mostly known for his political views and participation in the White House. He was the second President of the United States, but the first ever Vice President. He was also the first President to live in the White House. His opposition to the Stamp Act of 1765, made him very well known to everyone.

The two most influential leaders in United States history, Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson, took a significant role in the adoption of the Constitution. These leaders were Founding Fathers, but they took very different approaches to the Constitution and how it should have been perceived. As the United States began to adopt an official Constitution, Founding Fathers Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson each had different positions where Hamilton was much more lenient with his position of the constitution, while Jefferson’s ideas were much more logical and stringent with the principles of the Constitution and how people perceived them.

From 1776 onwards, the United States of America had a strong foundation for government and tradition. Great men such as the Founding Fathers established these foundations for incoming future generations. One of these great men included John Adams. As an American colonist, as a voice of the American Revolution, as a Founding Father and as second President of the United States, John Adams was one of the most influential men in U.S history.

Thirteen months later, Ben served on the committee that drafted the declaration of independence. He contributed to the Government by serving as a postmaster general, and took over the duties as a president of the Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention. James Madison was known as the Father of the United States Constitution, no other delegate was prepared for the Federal Convention in 1787 like he was. Alexander Hamilton served in the legislature in 1787, which got him chosen as one of the delegates to the Convention. He was at a disadvantage against the other delegates because of how small of a role he played in the debates. He did however end up as one of the three delegates from New York that signed the finished document. “Leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude and in actions” (Geneen). No other president has exemplified such an understanding of leadership as President George Washington. There is no doubt that Washington deserves his reputation as one of the best presidents this country has ever had. His moral character and bold actions continue to set the standards for future presidents. Not only was Washington the Commander and Chief of the Continental Army and the President of the Continental Congress but he was the first president and only president unanimously elected twice and served from 1789 to 1796. During his time in office, Washington set this country on a path that has been able to withstand the test of time of over 200 hundred years. Some critics argue that Washington’s siding with Hamilton actually encouraged partisanship, the very thing Washington so vehemently denounced. However, it is clear that George Washington remained true to his vision of a strong and independent nation. He had many positive attributes, but it was his strong moral character, leadership skills, and political vision that made him worthy of the title “Father of America”.

Although there are debates on whether the founders leadership truly caused America 's independence, or they were simply a group of elitist liberals with personal interests, without the unparalleled leadership of the Founders in the Revolutionary period of America, we would not have the America we live in today. We owe the preservation of our rights, the constitution, the branches of government, and the whole notion of independence to the leadership and steadfastness of the Founders. They worked tirelessly through meetings, the creation and implementation of certain ideas, and their notable actions, which caused the United States to become an independent nation.

John Adams was the second president of the United States. Before he was a president, he was a very hard working man but, he had a little bit of an attitude. He was the kind of person that would do something right and would never think of the consequences after. His cousin was Sam Adams one of the instigators for the Boston Massacre and the tea party. When all of this was happening he stood up for the british soldiers in court to make sure they got a fair fight. John was a visionary, he could see how things would play out in the future. He foresaw the idea of a Continental army and the Declaration of Independence. John even new how to talk and encourage or change peoples minds, he once introduced the idea of the Anti-Revolution of the South
