Junior Class President Kathryn Ramjattan says that officers spend a lot of time planning after school and doing many other things, although conversely, it does not get too hectic until the major events come up. She loves working with her officers, leading and organizing events, and hanging out with the Junior Class Advisor, Mr. Carpio. This is her first year as president, but not her first year as an officer. Last year, Ramjattan was the vice president of the sophomore class. Ramjattan has learned that it is important to listen to what everyone has to say,and getting students involved is no simple task. Notable obstacles include disagreements in the student government and getting student participation.
A student's job is not done after the end of the day. There is always homework that still needs done or checked, editing a paper, studying for the test that is coming up next week, doing their own notes for chapters they read, reading textbooks, and trying to have a social life. They are still trying maintain good grades as best as they can. During all this pressure for freshman year college students tend to forget their roles in the classroom, responsibilities, and having mental and physical impediments for their learning. Students have the constant worries and fears but it still bad when getting yelled at by their parents, teachers, and their school for lack of engagement in the classroom. By helping the freshman year college students, it
I think I should be in the Junior Honor Society. I have met the requirements to receive this opportunity. I would not let this opportunity to waste. I care for the community and do what ever service to help it out. I help do services for the library when they need it. For example on March 10,2017, I helped make capes for sick kids and then gave them happy birthday cards for the birthday kids. I help out my community by helping people shovel their driveway. Like some of my neighbors can't do it so I ask if I can do it for them for free. I look out for people to make sure they are ok. I am a captain of a football team because of my great leadership skills that can be useful. I put effort and time into my work. Around the house I am a role model
I want to run for the president of my class because it would be an honor to represent my friends and fellow classmates. Being the president of my class would not only would it look good on my college application in the future, but I could help to bring the freshman class much closer. Not just as classmates, as friends.
In my senior year, I was honored the position as Club President of HOSA at school. HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) is a competitive medical club offered nationwide at the secondary and collegiate level.
I’m Christianna and would love to represent you all as a class officer for the 2017-2018 school year! Some of you may be wondering who I am and why you should vote for me to represent you? So, in this speech (which I will keep brief) I’ll introduce myself and explain why I am interested in being a class officer.
Being a class officer for three out of the four years of my high-school experience is The accomplishment that demonstrates my potential to make significant contributions to the campus community and broader society. As a class officer, I have taken my class’ feelings and suggestions to form our class into the successful student body it is. I help host fundraisers for our class as well as work on giving back to the community. I demonstrate leadership by being able to work with my class officers to compose the highest beneficial decisions for the class. To be voted in by my peers to be the voice of our class is an important achievement for me. From this experience I have learned to take into consideration of everyone’s opinions and needs to produce
I thought Senior year would never come. Well it came and arrived sooner than I though. I've been planning life after high school for a while now but, this year makes everything seem surreal. I thought I had everything planned out, ready to go, and this year would be a piece a cake. I've never been more wrong. The stress of senior year and accomplishing what I need to to graduate so i can further my education in college is weighing me down. Sometimes I need to take a step back, take a deep breath, and just calm down. I know with everything in me I am cabe of whatever I set my mind to as long as I don't let minor obstacles hold me back.
I am my current student body and class vice president. I take on roles and finish tasks willingly. I have led the class of 2018 as their class president my sophomore and junior years. This task has not always been easy, but I have managed with the help of others. Now being the vice president, I am responsible for assisting the president, while taking charge of my student council. This club has taught me promptness, diligence and cooperation.
High School has been a really crazy experience. The last four years have really gone by so quickly and it feels like it’s only been a few days since I first entered Whittier. My biggest achievement was being able to play for the school’s basketball team for three whole years. I am so proud to say that I have been part of the reason why the freshmen team got to be champions on my freshmen year and also champions on the Junior Varsity team for not only my Sophomore year, but also my Junior year! That is three whole years in a row! Being on the team has taught me that hard work and determination can get you what you want. I worked hard every practice and game to achieve what I strived for. I’m so grateful for having the chance to be on this journey
It all started when I first realized school was about to start yet I knew my junior year was going to be the most important year. I had no motivation to go to school I wasn’t ready at all. My classes were great besides algebra 2 I never liked math at all. When I first entered my algebra class I knew from the start it was going to be a long year. Few weeks went by all I ever did in algebra was sleep or be on my phone I never really cared about the class because I thought there was too much to learn that I didn’t even want to learn anything. I never did my homework and in class work I was to lazy to do it but my teacher Ms. Suca knew that I had potential.
I was very excited to start my junior year of college. I had a great year my second and third year and now was excited to see my friends, play soccer and work hard to improve my grades like always. I am m not very proud that I end my junior semester year with a 2.5 GPA. This was my hardest semester because I change my major from Physical Education to Business Administration.
Tony Robbins once said, “Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible”. This essay directly correlates with that quote. Through this reflective essay, I will be reevaluating goals that I have previously set, and showing the creation of new goals for the future. This essay in itself will assist me in laying out these goals for myself, as well as reflecting on what I have done this year, who I am as a learner, and where I see myself going in the future.
I attended Stockdale elementary, and I heard that junior high would be terrible from my teachers. I was concerned about what made junior high bad. My first impressions of Tevis was that it would be the most stressing two years of my life. Junior high wasn’t as stressing as I thought it would be.
A challenge is defined as a task or a situation that tests one’s abilities. Challenges can be created by one. Occasionally, they can even appear without our control. Instead of concealing myself from the challenges, like several people, I confront them. Every trial that I face never fails to teach the unique and unfamiliar attributes about myself. Even though tests might be harder than other tests, I strive to undertake all of them to discover the capacity of my abilities. Challenges should not be seen as something that prevents progress, but rather something that welcomes it. Working harder and staying committed to be in the top 10% had been a challenge that I faced junior year.
I started going to every meeting that we had, and I actually looked forward to helping plan everything that we could do to make the school a better place. I enjoyed working behind-the-scenes of all of the events that I’ve been to before but never had much control over. My title was Junior Class Representative, and although it was the lowest title for the Junior class, I was proud of it.
