‘Superheroes’ is a documentary directed by Michael Barnett about the extreme justice league. The extreme justice league consists of middle ages men and women who are real life superheroes. Each of theses superheroes has various backgrounds of being victims or affected by violence or assault or have had a troublesome upbringing. For example, as a child, Master Legend was forced by his father to fight in a ring against his friends and other children. If he lost the fight he would not be allowed to eat dinner and he would get locked in a closet. The extreme justice league is a non-profit organization that helps fight and stop crime in the community. Theses superheroes claim they are doing the job law enforcement is lacking. The extreme justice league patrols the streets, helps citizens in need, attempts to capture video evidence of drug dealers, and bait criminals into doing criminal acts such as rape or robbery. The extreme justice league does not just fight crime but also helps the homeless by bringing them care packages. Barnett uses the story of the real-life superheroes to shows the corruption in the police force, justice system, and society. Corruption is the abuse of power someone holds over other people for their own gain.
The colorado shooting happened at the Aurora Theater at a midnight showing of the batman movie,”The Dark Knight Rises”. This event was caused by a mentally ill man named James Holmes.
Quantity wise, Marvel has more films than DC. If we were to count the number of movies that have been released to the public, there have been 3 Spiderman movies, 1 upcoming Spiderman reboot, 2 Fantastic Four films, and 3 X-Men films with 1 released stand alone film (Wolverine) and 1 upcoming prequel (X-Men: First Class). Comparing this to the number of DC films released since 2000, which includes Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Superman Returns, 1 upcoming Batman film and 1 Superman Reboot, Marvel still by far outnumbers DC even by the standard of the rules we set up. (If we were not to consider the rules, we would have to include the Iron Man series, the Hulk films as well as the upcoming Thor, Captain America, Avengers films and more. And these movies would only count those that are the most popular and haven 't even considered movies such as the Blade trilogy, the Punisher series, Daredevil, and many more. While DC has the Watchmen, Constantine, Catwoman and Green Lantern films, DC is still by far outnumbered by Marvel.)
This man has been docile and misunderstood for his entire life. His ferocious demeanor can frighten the bravest of people. He can work independently or collectively. He’s seen as a menace, but he’s been a hero many times. With the brain he has, the booming voice and quick decision-making he is a natural born leader in times of peril. As he becomes angrier, the more effective and violent he becomes. His hairy appearance resembles, that of a lumberjack. He is known for healing himself but has no medical background. He’s like a Benihana chef, but he is not a cook.
The main conflicts in the world of The Dark Knight Returns revolve around escalating crime in Gotham city and forces of the authority attempting to control it. The authority should be a moral force and represent justice. The figures that represent the authority should be selfless and work only to promote the integrity of law and order. Authority proves to be contradictory in Miller’s novel as the authoritative figures express qualities of vigilantism and overall moral ambiguity.

The constant battle between our favorites has shown itself common now more than ever. Who do we like better? What do we like better? What is the absolute best? Are these questions necessary? No. But do they keep our lives interesting? Oh yes. In the spring of every year, there always seems to be a new superhero movie that debuts and leaves us on the edge of our seats, waiting for the next one. This year, we are being blessed with two movies, from two separate corporations, Marvel and DC; which leaves us with the question… Who did it better?
For many people around the world happiness is pursued in the same type of way. Now in these days everyone one likes to read comic books since they became part of our society. What makes them interesting is how entertaining they could get giving us different points of views on different stories of superheroes. Many of us believe that “Classic superheroes stories are wildly fun, suspenseful and exciting” (Tom and Matt Morris) forgetting the idea of what really makes a hero. Frank’s Miller Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is one of the comic books that make us “rethink the conception of the superhero and press each of us to reconsider some of the fundamental moral principles
When comics were first coming out, they were not all that popular but in todays’ world, they have become very popular and well known. Several of these comics have been turned into films, which is one of the many reasons why the popularity has been rising over the years. One of the most well known comics is Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. This comic was composed and released in 1986 by Frank Miller. With the usage of Frank Miller’s powerful, intense lines and the artwork done by Klaus Janson’s and Lynn Varley’s it has elevated this comic up to the very top of mainstream comics. In Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, the skillful illustrations on the pages successfully create the thought that there are underlying meanings, which makes the atmosphere a very intense one throughout the comic. The work of art that is presented on the pages in this comic are embedded in such a way that the pages become the continuum for the meaning. One of the main themes that are imbedded on the pages through the artwork in this book is the ideological struggle between Bruce Wayne and Batman.
When I was eleven years old, I perused through the video store looking for the perfect movie to watch. Having just rented all three Pirates of the Caribbean movies, I needed something new to quench my thirst for action movies. The dark, mysterious cover of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight had me instantly hooked; I needed to watch it. After watching the movie for the first time, my life was never the same again.
In the world of superheroes, there are numerous that believe they are heroes, while in actuality, they are merely vigilantes. This is demonstrated throughout the world of superheroes, but it is not as prominently demonstrated as in Batman. Batman presents himself as a hero, while he is only an over imaginative vigilante. He is more a vigilante than a hero since he has the ability to stop crime, but doesn’t, he only does deeds for his own benefit, and he helps the law but isn’t part of it. These are only a few ways Batman is a vigilante, rather than a hero. These are mainly based upon the idea of him trying to right his own past.
With a weekend in the cinema behind it, it made a mark at the box office, setting a record for biggest August debut with $135 million take. Similar to Batman v Superman, the film dropped sharply from Friday to Saturday, losing more than almost half its percent of its box-office momentum. That brings the film’s long-term earning potential into question, and the bad reviews don’t help. With one behind-the-scenes source claiming it needed to make at least $750 million just to break even, it faces a long struggle— especially since it’s likely to be shut out of release in asia, which is becoming a major financial factor for blockbuster
When you think of a superhero one normally thinks of Spiderman, Batman, or Superman, but there were superheroes long before these characters were created. First one must understand that the basis of this name is hero. What is a hero? A hero is a person who does something special or out of the ordinary in order to help others. It could also be someone who is admired for a characteristic about them, be it physical or mental. They are individuals that normal everyday people can look up to. This being the case, a superhero is nothing more then someone who is a hero, but not just that once and for that one person, but someone who helps many people, or leads them. As time went by the number of people who were true heroes diminished and just
