Autobiography of Kevin Prince
Sometimes, I come home after school and stare at a framed picture on my wall of Taj Mahal to remind me of where I was born, India. I spent the first seven years of my life there. Then my family moved to Edmonton, Canada, searching for jobs because my dad’s business profit back home was decreasing immensely. English was very different from my first language, Malayalam, but I was taught all of the alphabets and its pronunciations at school in India, therefore it was not incredibly difficult for me to adapt. My classmates here were a little confused because I am from India, but my name Kevin Prince. Then I told them that I am Christian and they got even more confused. Over the past eight years that I have lived here, I became closer to my family, made many friends, found new hobbies and began thinking about my dreams and life goals.

I am very fortunate to have a family since the day I was born. They provide me with a shelter, clothes and put food on the table. They love me no matter what and support me whenever I need it. My family contains my dad, Prince, my mom, Meera and my two younger brothers, Reuben and Nathan. The rest of my family lives in India. This includes my cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and great grandparent. I am very lucky to have many amazing friends. I met most of my friends in school, but I also met some friends at church. My best friends are Emmanuel and Tanraj. I met Tanraj in grade five and we just clicked. This year we are attending different high schools, but I still keep in touch with him. I met Emmanuel on the first day of junior high school. We are both Malayali (people that have Malayalam as their mother tongue) and christian. I am extremely blessed to have such loving and caring family and
My family is one of a kind. They support me all the time. My dad comes home each day after doing an eight hour shift and manages all the bill payments. My mom cooks, cleans, goes to job, helps me and my brother with homework, and drops/ picks us up from classes every single day. Last but not least, my brother is always there for me. He shares everything with me, even his favorite chocolates. And he is the one that teaches me the forms that I didn’t get in the karate class. Even though we fight a lot, I couldn’t have asked for a better brother than him. I love my family very much and they will always be dear to

Everyday life is great at making you who you are or what you have become. It is amazing how one choice or event can change someones life. This is especially true when it comes to the Vietnam War. There were so many lives that changed during this time. The Vietnam War brought us the end of the draft and instated a volunteer army which we still have to this day. This war also helped give the right for 18 year olds to vote which was a big help to Nixon’s second term as president. With this said the Vietnam War has greatly affected America and Tim O’Brien is one of those people. O’Brien says he wasn't into the war however I think he eventually discovered a new form of happiness from creating his amazing stories with his experiences in the

Throughout his childhood Logan (Tachnechdorus) attained advantageous values and social etiquette. One particular influential ally was a Quaker identified as James Logan who not only provided Tachnechdorus with his name but also educated him until he befriended the future war leader . However, it was after one unprovoked fatal incident involving other settlers that Logan, who once considered the white people as his allies, quickly changed his opinion of them. Hostility erupted within this once diplomatic, unbiased and compassionate man. Recognizing the conflict among the two cultures became the major cause of Logan to take vengeance.

You have heard the saying, “It’s not what you know but who you know?” Well, Blackman, certain doors are closed to you in life. However, Prince-Hall Freemasonry will show you how to unlock and open these doors, which will in turn, allow you to receive more "light" (i.e., gain knowledge of how the world really works and more about what has been concealed from you as discussed here). Masonry shows you the things that are hidden from you, yet hidden in plain sight, if only someone will take the blinders from your eyes so that you can really see what's going on (kind of like a racehorse) and see the game being plaid on Black People and humanity as a whole. Blackman, you have been programmed by your former slave-masters to have tunnel-vision and to look only in one direction (to White

In sixteen years of life, I have received an opportunity to experience different cultures, learning styles, and languages. To start of, I am an American since I was born here, but the reality is that I was raised in India. My parents’ main motivation for moving back to India was because they wanted us to embrace our traditions, and most importantly, value our family relationships. We relocated back to the US at the start of 9th grade. This transition was a huge factor for transforming me as a person. I am cognizant of the two systems, cherish both, and realize that these multicultural experiences have encouraged me to grow and mature beyond my years. Relocating from a place is not as easy as one can imagine. When compared to the US, India
