Alessia describes them as “Where The Wild Things Are is a place that exists in our minds. It's a place of liberty and shamelessness. They then proceed to go outside to an old car not wearing their mask. They are shown in a parking lot messing around, spinning in a shopping cart with fireworks and sparklers. The music video continues to flash back to show Alessia dancing on the old car. They are shown walking through the dark city of Toronto, transitioning them to another location. The teenagers move to the woods near a lake where they are seen playing around a fire, throwing different items into it to see the effects. Again Alessia and her friends are seen wearing the animals mask setting fireworks off down by a lake with a large fire burning in the background. While the fireworks are going off Alessia is standing and singing on an old life guard stand at the lake. The fire continues to burn while they play with color poppers with their animal mask on. The video shifts back to show a dusk lit neighborhood street with the friends walking down the street each breaking off to go back to their houses. Alessia’s voice describes how we have to become part of the wild things in life and the video cuts
Roy Wood$, a young rising Toronto artist discovered by OVO Sound Beats was recently signed to Drake’s record label and made his official debut by coming out with his first album Exis. The fresh, underrated OVO member made a resilient first impression; Exis serves as a strong introduction to the beginning of Wood$’s career. The album is laced with only 6 tracks, but still feels appropriate to the whole debut project. As the latest artist to be coming out of Canada, Roy is able to set himself apart from the rest, through his individual artistry and flair, innovative perspective, and exceptional voice. Not only is he able to bring a different genre of PBRnB style to us, his vocal expression is emotionally rich and soft while remaining powerful making it addictingly sweet.
It all starts with the crack of a firework and the sizzle as the sparks drift slowly back to earth. In the distance you can hear the crying of little kids, terrified by the booming sounds, along with the "oohs" and "ahs" of the people in the little town enjoying the firework show. Following the thirty minute show, families file up the beach stairs to return to the comfort of their own beds. In the morning they will participate in the yearly parade.
The three girls are on their way to the party when out of nowhere Talia slams on the brakes. " Why did you do that," asked Allie. " Didn't you see that," questioned Talia in a terrified voice. " Uh, no," responded Allie. " What did you see," asked Kaylee. " I don't know, but what I do know is that it was tall and looked like a dark figure, it had a black mist surrounding it," replied Talia as she started the car again. Every one was silent until they got to the party. When they get inside they see a bunch of decorations, and surprisingly everyone they knew was there also. Talia still didn't trust the fact that it was on a forbidden road.
As Francie continues to tempt John, the romantic suspense builds as the firework display continues. The scene starts with John and Francie facing each other as the fireworks display is occurring between them. The fireworks serve as a symbol of the relationship between John and Francie. As the scene progresses, the fireworks displays goes from simple to out of control. Once John and Francie move to the couch, the camera switches views from the characters to the fireworks to display how both events are similar to one
The video begins fairly quiet, with no music playing. Only the body a protester holding an unlit Molotov cocktail is shown. Then, as it is lit, the music starts. Fire is shown often in the video, and it is bright and saturated, and it stands out from the dulled colors of the video. The fire is possibly meant to represent the protesters and their efforts to set the police ablaze, or destroy the government. As the first fire is lit, the music begins, and protests start.
I watched the film Fed Up (2014). The film's purpose is to spread awareness of the dangers of excess sugar and fat in a diet. It also wanted to bring awareness to the food corporation corruption. The film seeks to educate the public on the effects of an unhealthy diet. It is meant to open the eyes to the obesity crisis in the United States. It emphasizes on how sugar is the direct cause of obesity.

I put my ear to the door to see if there was anyone in the room, but all I had heard was a melodic song play. I was positive that no one was home, but I still made sure to check. I looked under the crack of the door to see if there was anyone inside. I was right. There was no one inside. Seems like whoever’s room this was, they forgot to turn off their music. I opened the door, and I was greeted by many different colored sticky notes posted onto one of the walls of the room. I walked closer to the wall of sticky notes to see if there were any important information written on any of the sticky notes, and per usual, my guess was right. On the sticky notes were random words such as “hedonism” and “vehement” along with their definitions and part
Yanek, is a juvenile boy who loved to read and watch movies. He was a kid who enjoyed to make others laugh, his parents, Ruth and Jack Gruener loved the short skits he put on with a projector he made, where he would make shadow puppets and little cardboard cutouts of stuff, with the aspirations of being in the film industry. This all changed when his head over the loud speaker that the nazis are now in the city of Kraków, Poland. They were there to submit new rules for the Jews, like a strict curfew, no going to libraries or movies and no selling merchandise in stores.
The Cave follows typical Indie genre convention, but also defies it slightly. I used Goodwin’s theory to help make my music video, and I have used the theory as the main structure for my work. To create a lyric and visual link, I have referenced the lyrics in the song to visual elements in the music video, for example I have shown the lyrics on pieces of paper. Links to the lyrics are used in other music videos such as ‘Uma Thurman’ by Fall Out Boy, where you see the lyrics appear on the screen but are still in the narrative of the video. Lip synching also adds to the links between the lyrics and the visual aspects, and they are a key part of most music videos, especially indie ones where the video is more about the music than selling records.
My classmates and I filmed a music video 6 months ago, and I've learnt various things ever since then. Honestly, I severely dislike each and every part of our music video, but practice makes perfect. We did not assign roles for this music video since we thought we could include every individual to experiment with diverse tasks. At first, everything was going smoothly, right till we chose to change the entire idea completely and assign roles. The music video was filmed and edited within a short timeframe due to the deadline. This taught me to think about several ideas in details from the earliest starting point, so once it comes to filming or editing, I wouldn't stress over the constrained time period given.
nteresting idea. I always thought that the Pop genre was above the other music genres for a reason that I was never able to explain. This video, explains in a way why I feel like Pop music is the best genre.
For those that have yet to encounter the listening experience of vinyl I encourage you to do so now. These videos do not fully project the real life experience vinyl provides to the listener but it does meet some of the criteria. The first video is Mozart on vinyl. There’s something intriguing and also appealing to hear the popping and cracking from the commencement of the record. This video demonstrates just that. This experience is not common on all vinyl records but it’s definitely one of my favorites. The second video is Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. As a vinyl enthusiast I enjoy seeing the record spin around and around as if the music is coming off the record. Lastly, the third video is Frank Mills - Music box dancer. As it was stated previously vinyl sounds feel more alive this is a perfect depiction. The piano sounds as if someone is playing directly inside the room.
