Hmm, phones in the classroom! What do you think? That is a debate between billions of people in the world today. Children all over the world have phones, but they can not have them out during school hours. Cell phones are important to so many kids and adults. These devices have been around for so long, and many people can not live without them. All around the school campus, students are miserable without their phones. In the world today, about three-fourths of the U.S. population have phones. A cell phone is an important thing to some people. Without cell phones, kids wouldn't have access to their social media accounts like Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more. So take this into consideration, even if it is in one class, students should be allowed to get on their cell phones during school hours.
If your are allowed a cell phone in school and you get caught doing something you shouldn't, you could get in trouble. If cell phones weren't allowed in school there wouldn't be problems over the phone. If you have a phone in class it is a distraction from your learning. If your were a teacher would you want your students to have phones. Students would be on their phone while they should be doing homework. As students we go to school for seven hours. In those seven hours there is no reason they need to be on there phone. School is for learning, not looking at a phone.
Should cellphones really be allowed in schools, or would they cause huge problems?Schools disagree on having cell phones in the class for reasons such as, texting in class, going on websites that are unauthorized at the school, and many more reasons, but what the schools systems dont understand is the educational things you can do on a cellular device. In fact schools don't want cell phones in any part of the building not just the classrooms. Although schools disagree on cellphone usage in the building, they should allow them because there are many uses for cell phones in school to help kids academically.
There are many reasons why students should not be able allowed to have phones out during school hours. One of the main reasons is distracting. Distracting can effect students is many way's. Say if your taking a test and someone Snapchat notification goes off or any other notification. It can also distract the people that don't have a phone. Students with phones can text each other the answers on a test or assignment. It could also distract the kids that have a phone by looking at their phone the whole class period time seeing if the person they texted would text back. Student like to worry about their phones more that they do their grades.
Students shouldn’t be allowed to have phones in school because students can easily use them to cheat on tests and quizzes. According to U.S. News “More than one third of teens with cell phones admit to having stored information on them to look at during a test or texting friends about answers.” (Miners, “More than”). Many people already use phones to cheat now even when phones aren’t allowed, so allowing phones to be present in the classroom will give students easier opportunities to cheat. Cheating is also unfair to the students who study and work hard to make grades. So phones not being allowed in classrooms is a better choice so students will study and learn instead of just cheating using their phone.
Hello, I am Madi P, a student here at Ecole Lacombe Composite High School I am writing you in regards of being accepted into the 20-1 class next fall.
According to the article "Hang it up" by Jesse Scaccia, a former public school teacher, cell phones should not allow in school because the are a distraction for both students and teacher students using cell phones in class tend to have short attention spans and this could lead to doing poorly in their classes. In addition, cell phones are actually a status of symbol for many students, who seem to care more more about their social life rather than learning. On the other hand, parents and students advocate for cell phones in school for safety reason. Finally the author points out that parents needed to worry about other problems in their children schools not cell phones. I believe cell phone in schools should be use for an emergency situation however, using
In each school there are absurd rules; ours by far has the most. Ok I get it, the staff is trying to us learn with a cleaner environment, but they have to be able to understand that phones CAN help you learn! Phones give us opportunities to hold many useful things such as calculators, passwords, and our schedules. I can see that they would want to take it away because it is “distracting”, but I honestly think that it is more distracting not having it then actually having it, now all we can think about is checking our phones. Although much of the public debate is against it, there are pros associated with allowing cell phones in school. These advantages should not be ignored since cellphones in schools can actually add value to the
Should teachers let students have their phone in class? Many don't, currently most teachers do not let students use their devices during class time. In addition Cell Phones have become increasingly popular. According to the Huffington post “Millions more will join the ranks of smartphone users in the years ahead, as the remainder of the 92 percent of American adults who own cell phones upgrade their devices” this article illustrates that many people own cell phones and many more will soon. And most teachers view them as a distraction to the learning environment. However that is incorrect, Cell phones should be allowed in class because they are educational, can be used as tools, and in that could improve their learning. The teachers should let students use their cellphones during class because they can use it for a resource, an emergency, and for overall happiness.
Cell phones should not be allowed in school. Cell phones should not be allowed because they can help you cheat on a test. They have apps and website that can help people cheat. Because the phone can be were the teacher cannot see it they can cheat easier. On the cell phone there is notes were people can write the answers down. Cell phones can help people cheat on test. Some phones mak it easier to hide stuff then other phones.
First and foreMost, distractions in class are the main reason phones shouldn't be allowed during class. In other words phones are used for more than just education when used in class. For example, if i'm told to get my phone out to look something up, i'm probably
Students should be allowed to have phones in class because students aren’t the only ones who use them in class, the teachers use it as well. It is stated on weareteachers.com , “ It’s not just the tweens
Students should be allowed to use their phones at school because it could be used for math, they can use it to contact their parents when something bad happens, also can be useful for emergency purposes. However when I researched “Should students be allowed to bring their phones to school”? They think that students should get to have their phones during school hours. Because they feel like the students could have communication with their classmates/ friends. Some schools don’t allow them because they are a distraction when teachers are trying to teach. When students use their phones during school hours the teachers take them away and keep them until the end of the day or they keep them until their parents come to the school to get their kids
I think cell-phones should be allowed in class for many reasons. What if your friend faints? What if someone starts coughing up blood. Those are some of the reasons why I think cell phones should be allowed in class. First of all I think cell phones should be allowed in class because what if someone gets hurt. Also what if your house catches on fire. Then how would you get in touch with your family. What if someone gets kidnaped? What if my/your house gets robbed? In addition they should be allowed in class because what if there is a family emergency. By emergency I mean like death emergency. What if someone gets sent to jail? Or asylum? That would be horrible to find out about that after school.
