When Strauss arrived in San Francisco he was sent to specifically sell his brothers inventory in the west coast. As his business grew, he was contacted by Jacob Davis. Davis, a tailor in Nevada, had bought cloth from Strauss for his own business and developed a special way to make more durable pants. Davis used metal rivets on the pockets and on the front fly seam to help the pants resist wear and tear. Since Davis lacked the money required to make patent for his invention he resorted to asking his fabric supplier(Levi Strauss) to pay for the patent. They worked together to create a patent for the “waist overalls” as they called it. Strauss agreed, and on May 20. 1873, US Patent No. 139,121 for “Improvements in fastening pocket openings” was issued in the name of Jacob W. Davis and Levi Strauss and Company. This later turned into the brand of jeans that many still wear today. As his business grew, he continued to be generous to those in need, providing the funds for 28 scholarships at the University of California in 1897.Since Strauss never married nor had kids he slowly started to give an increasing amount of equity of his business to his nephew Jacob Stern. When he had died Jacob Stern (his nephew) took the role as president of the company. Currently his business worth 4.67

If you do something wrong no matter what the case is, you should always take responsibility for your actions. This should always happen because an innocent person could go to jail for a crime that someone else has committed. Even today in the court of law sometimes the defendant will not take full credit for their actions and they will either lie or leave out the truth to save themselves from going to prison. In this case it makes me think of when a famous boxer, Rubin Carter was convicted of murdering several men, the only reason Carter was convicted of this was because witness match his car to the science of the crime. Carter want to jail for nine years before they reopened the case and found that he was innocent. This all could have been
The Clariden School campus is big curve that contains two layers of depth: the front, which is the buildings, and the back, which is the field and playground. The front is comprised of five buildings. The rightmost building is Upper School, to the left is Administration, and after that is Fine Arts. These buildings are similar in size and shape, and are longer than they are wide. The gym is the leftmost building, and is different than the rest. It is taller, wider, and longer than all of the other buildings. The back layer of the school, beginning behind the Upper School building is just an empty field. To the left of this empty field is a fence, and on the other side the recess/play field. The first thing past the fence is a soccer field.
1One of the most famous of Gothic novels was The Monk of Matthew Gregory Lewis. Published in 1796, his story describes a Spanish Abbot of the 17th century, renowned for his virtue and correctness. Ambrosio – the so-called hero was not able to resist the charms of a young beauty, Matilda, who was that neither is a real devil in human guise. From this moment the life of Ambrosio increasingly pervades vice, crime and black magic. In the end of the novel, he rapes his sister and murders his mother. Nevertheless, The Monk is protracted: if you read it from beginning to end. It's too long and too wordy, and the impact is weakened a strange and excessive reaction against those canons of decorum which Matthew Gregory Lewis despised as prudish. But
