List all robotics/hardware experiences
I have had three years of FTC experience. For two years, I was on The Metal Magicians (6982) and I was on Infinity (5151) for one year. Over the years, I have gained knowledge on the process of designing and building robots. I am also knowledgeable on how to operate both hand and power tools. List all software experiences
I have been programming for over three years in primarily C and Java. I am experienced with the FTC SDK, autonomous and TeleOp programs, and sensor usage. My autonomous program for the 2013-2014 Block Party season won the Control Award at qualifier level. I am also familiar with Android Studio and have created multiple Android apps. From the Block Party robot's efficient hang and debris collection, Cascade Effect's innovative ball shooting mechanism, to Res-Q's unique pivoting arm, I have always been pushed to do better in order to compete with such top-tier robots. I have heard many great things about the individuals on this team and the team as a whole, varying from the incredible dedication to the efficiency and innovation. As an individual passionate and experienced about robotics, I think this team and its culture would fit me very well. I would love to have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the …show more content…
Helping others succeed by teaching STEM is what I believe to be one of the most beneficial ways I can help people. I would especially like to expose them to engineering so that one day they can be engineers themselves. However, the methodical thinking that engineering teaches can be brought into any career field and is beneficial to everyone. What makes you stand out from/more qualified than others?
I am extremely dedicated to robotics. I am willing to put as much time needed to make the robot the best it can be. Whether this means pulling an all-nighter, dedicating time out of robotics to finish a program, or spending extra time scouting, I am all up for it. My flexible schedule allows for me to consistently attend meetings and program the additions to the robot so that the robot can be constantly tested and adjusted.
Years of robotics has also given me invaluable experience. I am friends with many teams and their members. I can also handle a variety of tasks, such as building, programming, scouting, contacting sponsors, and much more. After being the Programming Head for three years, and Co-Captain for two years, I am able to step up to a leadership position if necessary. Having both programming and mechanical experience can help make the robot more integrated, as I understand how to build and design mechanisms for autonomous objectives. In addition, my understanding of how mechanical
Rather success will go to those who innovate in the organization, optimization, and customization of the process of getting work done with bots and machines”(Kelly Page.310), therefore, big business will have to worl hard towards collaberating with robots in order to maintain a successful business and for those who are starting out will have to work as hard to become successful in the robot industry.
Unbeknownst to most people, technology has been around much longer than we expect and the rate of these innovations actually coming to grips with the community is a slow one. While many scientists and engineers may be in the lab as we speak creating a robot, we
Robots have been useful to humans since the past. They’re made to make human life easier. Since early times people have been dreaming of making robots and different people have made different kinds of robots. Robots has been useful in the past, they’re now useful in present-time, and they’re going to be useful in the future.
While participating in the robotics competitions, I discovered my passion for robotics. Even after the initial team separated, I continued helping new members, based on my previous experience and new-found knowledge. In the future, I want to continue the legacy my grandmother and mother have given me and continue to strive for excellence, helping my country and the rest of the world by the hand of technology and
During my sophomore and junior year, I joined the FTC Robotics Team. I was one of the programmers and builders for the robot. I will help the team build the robot and after the robot is done, a group of students and I would program the robot to do some specific tasks. After we are done building and have programed the robot we compete against other schools. During competition, we would meet with other teams and form allies. We operate robots to compete in a challenge with the teams we are allied with.
Robotics is more to me than just something nice to have on your transcripts or something to do in your free time. Robotics has changed my entire life, if it was not for this program my life could have been going in a completely opposite direction. Now i can say I am going to college to pursue a major in mechanical engineering and plan to strive for success, not get a C and be done but to get an
I have had previous experience in manufacturing, supervision of employees and administration. Working at Garland Commercial Ranges taught me skills in the manufacturing industry while allowing me
I have gained substantial support equipment and program management experience during my 22-year professional career in the Air Force. I am proficient in performance optimization, and program management. I
I have strong technical skills for design and I have been a responsible leader in Al Kazemi Group as an intern
Through all these lessons, I have had fun and learned valuable skills, and that is what robotics is all about. I have the critical thinking skills, teamwork skills, work ethic, and the ability to persevere. Additionally, I have learned how to work as a minority and still have my voice heard. Robotics has better prepared me for college and life than any other sport could. Thank you for reading and considering my entry for the US National Bank
I am most excited, however, when I can combine my interest in business with my passion for engineering and robotics. Throughout high school, I have spent many hours each week in the robotics lab where I use my love of science and math to build a physical robot. In addition to playing a leadership role in designing the robot, I have greatly enjoyed the process of creating a brand for our team. In filming our team’s video, we debated how to portray our team as serious and driven, yet able to create a playful mood as we work. As a result of this discussion, the video opens with my co-captain
Through research at the University of Maryland I want to enter robotics research, broaden my knowledge of the interdisciplinary fields within robotics, and determine my areas of interest within robotics. The impact of this REU will provide me with unparalleled opportunities to work in robotics and prepare me for applying to a Master’s in Robotics.
Imagine if you would not need to help Mom and Dad, carrying stuff for them or cleaning up after them! You can have a robot help you with your daily activities such as cleaning your room, washing your car, and even wiping for you once you are done using the bathroom. A robot is a machine designed to complete or carry out multiple tasks when programmed to do so. Robots play a huge role in discovery, such as Mars Curiosity Rover, that is used to observe Mar’s surface and environment. We have used Robots to study the moons surface to see what it is like and to learn more about space. We use robots today in military by using them to disarm bombs and find enemy locations. Robots will have a positive impact on our future, because robots will help us to discover more in the ocean and space, help us save lives, and aid in the military.
Firstly, I would like to explain what the chairman’s award for FIRST Robotics is. The way I like to explain it is professionally bragging about the team and its accomplishments. How do you provide this bragging information about the team? Through an essay,
My fascination with hacking and robotics have opened my mind to the future. For example, when I first thought of hacking I only thought it was taking passwords for facebook accounts; however, the more I investigated the more malevolent it proved to be. This showed me a pretty grim future due to how robotics is making its way into the medical field and military. This introduced me to cyber security the career that I now more than ever wish to pursue in my future. Robotics on the other hand appears to be much more benevolent. Robotics has also been implemented into the rescue filed in order to help find people who are trapped in places considered too dangerous for other people to be. For example, miners trapped in an unstable mine can have a robot sent to work like a car jack in order to relieve the weight that is trapping them in order to give them enough time to escape. In any case this fascination was spurred by the information that I’ve gathered from the internet.
