During my sophomore and junior year, I joined the FTC Robotics Team. I was one of the programmers and builders for the robot. My fascination with hacking and robotics have opened my mind to the future. For example, when I first thought of hacking I only thought it was taking passwords for facebook accounts; however, the more I investigated the more malevolent it proved to be. This showed me a pretty grim future due to how robotics is making its way into the medical field and military. This introduced me to cyber security the career that I now more than ever wish to pursue in my future. Robotics on the other hand appears to be much more benevolent. Robotics has also been implemented into the rescue filed in order to help find people who are trapped in places considered too dangerous for other people to be. For example, miners trapped in an unstable mine can have a robot sent to work like a car jack in order to relieve the weight that is trapping them in order to give them enough time to escape.
