Our bodies need some fat to function normally. When the low fat diet became popular, most people were under the impression that all fat is bad for them so they were eliminating all fat from their diets. Good fats such a monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fats, including omega-3 fatty acids is found in avocados, fish, nuts, and seeds help to keep our blood vessels healthy, make hormones, absorb vitamins and helps our nervous system to work correctly. Good fats can go bad if heat, light or oxygen damage them. The way the products are stored or cooked can change them. Low fat doesn’t always mean healthy. Everyone is different and what might work for one person could be a horrible combination for another person. A diet is a balancing act
