My little cousin, Ella Jane, is in the stages of transitioning into middle school. A “skill” that I have recently mastered. A process that no one knew could be so challenging. That’s why I want to help correctly guide her down the path of priorities, extracurriculars, and friendships.
One of the many things that I have discovered to be the hardest about middle school is juggling your priorities. While Ella has transitioned out of fourth grade, an environment familiar to crafts, spelling tests, and colorful notebooks, the side she has wandered into is full of homework, math tests, and demanding teachers. There will be many nights when your friends are hanging out, but you have a mountain of work to complete. You will usually be stuck in a hard decision. But that’s where your priorities come in to play. You will have to decide between getting good grades on homework or having fun for 30 minutes. Or, if you have a project due in a few days and you know you won’t have time in the future, you put your phone down and tackle the assignment head on! Whether it is homework or a birthday bash, you will soon find out that the older you get, the more you have to prioritize.

There have been many mornings where I refuse to leave my bed and get ready for school (an experience you will soon have). My mother ends up dragging me out of my cozy, safe place and into the hall. Something that I’ve found to easily add pep to my school day is involving myself in activities I enjoy. Every day in fifth period I attend EAST, one of my favorite classes. EAST motivates me to continue on with my day and change my attitude about school! This simple way to enjoy school will work until you graduate college, and give you more out of your school day than just pencils and
On September 1, 2012, I walked into my fifth grade teacher’s classroom for the first time in my life. Mrs.Cullen was standing in the front of the door with open arms ready to welcome her new fifth grade students. As I made my way to my desk and sat down next to Charlie Schutt and Quin Timmerman, I got the feeling that middle school would be a time of talking to some of my best friends and cruising through classes. As the school year progressed, and classroom seats changed, my thought of how Middle school would be changed as well. On the first day Mrs.Cullen explained our schedule, Homework detentions, and demerits. After about fifty questions, she sent us off to our first class, and the first step of our Middle School journey. The fifth grade
Whenever I first began middle school, I was well aware of the new and divergent obstacles I would come across. The classes would become more advanced, teachers more strict, and lunches more disgusting. During my 6th-grade year, this change became clear. As my homework was piling up, so was my stress. Balancing school, sports, and family time had never been an unchallenging task, but I never have and never will let that be the reason for my grades to drop. The immense amount of effort I put into school is one consistent quality I possess that will never disintegrate, as opposed to what one teacher said.
Life as a middle school student will be totally different from the high school life. These are two different things and way more things will be expected from each and every student now that we are in high school. It will not be as easy as middle school was because when coming to the high school students will have to face hard challenges that might throw them off because they are not use to it. After a couple of week of experiencing high school it will start to get a little easier. Do not to expect high school to go by easy as middle school. If my word could get to the upcoming 8th graders about life at Spartanburg High School I would warn them about academics, sports, and friendships.
Bullying in Middle School in Revere, Massachusetts. Bullying on school ground is a big problem here in Revere. Middle school students have been reporting to parents and teachers that their are bullies who are their main concerns. They would be physcially and verbally attacking them any way possible. To avoid any causes that may affect bullying victims, we should solve the issue by having a plan laid out for bullies kids. If the problems are not going to be fixed students can be at risk. Their lives can be in danger. How can we address and fixed this situation to save kids who are getting bully in school. What can we do to protect students from bullies.
If Middle Football is Going to Last People Need to Get Their Head in the Game.
Many students worry about how their middle school years will go. Middle school is a very important part of a student’s education. Middle school is their initiation into high school and could really impact their future. Many elementary school students think that they are prepared and can do well in middle school, but many are not ready. Also, students who do not do well in middle school tend to not do well in high school. One lesson I would like to teach elementary school students is how to survive middle school, which is important because it will lead them to a better future by being prepared, managing time, and knowing how to problem solve.
Junior High is a scary thought. You are little and going to school with the big kids. It wasn’t to bad after I got used to it.
During my 8th grade year, I learned a lot that I did not know before. My 7th grade year I would consider it was my hardest year yet. The fun thing about this year is you learn so many new things. Most of our teachers chose to do so in a fun way. Also, each teacher will help you find ways to study. In my essay I will specify that you need to make sure that you are on time to your classes, always do your homework, and study for your tests.
Students and parents should begin to think about college when the student is in middle school or late grade-school. Beginning the college process early can prevent stressing at the last-minute and informs the student of all of their options. Even if the student is not looking at a specific college, they should start to learn the importance of college and how their life will change. Students should speak to a college guidance counselor about their future and know what colleges are looking for and how to build their résumé.
To start, everyone goes to Elementry school then to middle school but have to ever wonder how different they are. Elementry school is so fun with playgrounds and after school activities. But when you here about Middle school I was so excited to go. I found out that it is so exciting and different. Some differences and similarities between Middle School and Elementary School include the size of school, number of grades, and classes. These are some of the many things Middle School so enjoyable.
Middle school, that odd transitional period of grades 6, 7, and 8, is an awkward time for all. Like the overlooked middle child, middle school is granted naught in the way of remarkable characteristics (neither the care-free fun of elementary school or the expanded freedom and importance that defines high school). Such a proving ground of inelegance, though, provides a magnificent springboard, a crisp sable slate, just primed for self-reformation. Failure is a step in the process, and only notable failures can contrast themselves against an environment as imperfect as a middle school jazz band.
Middle school. Clusters of kids standing in the middle of the hallway acting like blocked off signs you would see during construction on the highway. Random conversations fill the air, as you acquire tiny fragments of a different person’s conversation each time you pass by. It seems scary, but it's quite the adventure. Middle school and High school can be really hard for kids, and for some it comes really easy for. Some kids don’t know who they are yet, and are trying to discover who they’re meant to be. That’s why one word of advice I would give to any Middle-schooler or High-schooler would to be to “Find your purpose, and stay with it.”
Every school year fifth graders face a big change from the lives they are used to. Middle School. It is our job as upperclassmen to assist these new sixth graders. These students need our advice, and help, to make sure they live out their middle school years correctly. The finest piece of advice I can give any student starting middle school is to plan out all your middle school years.
Transitioning to middle school was a difficult experience that taught me a skill that I will use throughout life. The jump from fifth grade to sixth grade is often challenging due to the change in teachers, learning environment, and pressure. In fifth grade I enjoyed a daily schedule of sports and social time with a small amount of time dedicated to homework. The fifth grade attempted to prepare me for middle school by giving me an increased amount of homework and more challenging material, however, faculty and administration still acknowledged that I was in elementary school and am not at an age where I should be given a large amount of homework. When I become a sixth grade student everything changed.
Middle school: an educational stage which exists in most countries providing education between primary school and high school. I like to phrase it as the in-between stage of life. Middle school was not my finest stage of life, and it was, without a doubt, the most emotional stage of my life. Would I want to relive my middle school years? No, I would not want, but even though they were not the best, they served as a beneficial learning stage.
