Since the ninth grade, I have been devoted to swimming, school, and doing everything that I can to better myself and help the people around me, but it has not always been this way. Back in my middle school years, I did not find my passion in school, and all I cared about was going home after school practice and lying down in bed or watching TV. Preteen years can be tough on everyone, and I was no exception. It was not until the summer of 2012 that I realized that I need to get my act together. Since I was not very successful in middle school, I was not put in all the accelerated classes that I wanted to be in, so the first day of my freshman year I missed study hall and lunch to talk to my guidance counselor about taking Enriched Biology
8th Grade Summary Essay 8th grade has been a hell of a ride, I went through ups and downs, met new people, learned new things, and finally finished middle school. But along this hellish ride I encountered many challenges (and sorta solved them). I learned life lessons and had people help me along the way, I achieved goals that I set for myself. Most importantly, I learned many methods from AVID that I hope I will always use and take advantage of. Without AVID I would probably not care about my grades so much as much as I do now.
In order to replace human senses, computers needed input devices for perception and data entry.
My whole life I have been invested in doing what I love, focusing on my true passions, as well as finding new ones. I have been very involved in my high school, and have been lucky enough to be a part of multiple clubs and activities. Without these activities, my high school experience and life would be a lot different. I have been an active drama club member, a part of ‘Bottlecappers,’ a club advocating anti-drug, alcohol, and bullying to younger students in my district, and many other community service opportunities. I am lucky to have the opportunity to be in these activities, as they have shaped me to be the young adult I am today.
1. Question: Why does Gatto think that school is boring and childish? How does Gatto’s depiction of school compare with your own elementary and secondary school experience?
All of us have formed habits in our daily life. Even though some of these habits only exist in our subconscious and we cannot actually make sure whether they are real or only the conjectures. But it is undoubted that all of our behaviors are influenced by our desires on specific objectives. In the book, the power of habit, Charles Duhigg explained the definition of a habit as an effort-saving instinct. “When a habit emerges, the brain stops fully participating in decision making” (20). To support his opinions on habits, he introduced the three-step model of a habit loop, the theory of golden rule of habit, and the role of a craving brain and belief in the process of a habit changing. 8th grade. The last year at Ross Middle School. Being retrospective on past years has me thinking of my many accomplishments, and many fails I’ve had. From getting very good grades to the embarrassing moments. All the time I wish I was still in elementary school. You get to wake up earlier and do less work. Next year I probably will be wishing the same thing, but to be in middle school. I am excited for highschool next year, but also nervous. I am petrified of getting lost or walking into the wrong classroom. Many of my freshman friends tell me they love highschool.

Rational decision is a state of being agreeable to reasons. The correct decision is not just reasoned but it is also optimal for solving a problem. Mr Weekes, the operation manager, employed series of analytical steps to review possible outcomes for problems by discussing it with managers to come up withdevise particular courses of action.
Sophomore year, I joined my High School's division of Kiwanis Key Club. The club prided itself with their devotion to community service. I thought that the club would be a great vehicle for me to assist my community while creating and expanding my relationships. However, I was greatly disappointed in the club my Sophomore year. There appeared to be little leadership present, so hardly any community service successfully took place. I made it my goal to gain a leadership position and turn the club around. Junior year, I was elected as President of the club and was re-elected to the position my Senior year.
Eliezer Yudkowsky once said, “You are personally responsible for becoming more ethical than the society you grew up in.” I deem this quote to be very applicable to my life. I grew up in Atlanta, GA, and I currently attend Tri-Cities High School. Growing up in my community, the youth are often labeled as “at-risk” or “troubled teens”. However, to stay away from this negative stigma, I joined a plethora of clubs and organizations within my school. Freshman year, I participated in FBLA and the Debate Club. Sophomore year, I was SGA Treasurer and co-captain of the cheerleading team. Junior year, I was involved in the Technical Theater magnet department in which I helped managed plays/productions held at our school. Currently, during my senior year, I'm still involved with the Technical Theater department and have also joined an organization called “Freshman Buddies” — a group of seniors who assist freshmen with their transition into high school.
The State Law Enforcement Officers primary responsibility is that of traffic enforcement of our state highways, which in California is the CHP, California Highway Patrol. They also have the responsibility to ensure the vehicles that travel our highways are meeting state safety
There is not much to do in the small town of Streator, Illinois. The town has only one cinema and very little to no shops at all, but there is one event that people in the community love to do, and that is attend sports games at the local high school. Streator Township High School, also known as Streator High School (SHS), was established in 1875 having the first graduating class in 1876. The building was funded by Ralph Plumb, Streator’s founder, and named in honor of Worthy S. Streator. In many ways, Streator High School is a significant part of the community from the sports games and club events, to the teachers and classes at SHS, but on top of them all is the countless life-long memories made at that very
Time, said to be eternal, possess neither a beginning nor an end. Yet however there is a fixation on being able to measure it in years, months, days, hours, minutes and seconds. Trying to save time with new technology, manage time with multi-tasking activities. All in the hopes of giving meanings to the past, present and future. The past is able to been seen but not changed, today is in the present yet still unpredictable, and tomorrow is not guaranteed. If I Could Tell You by W. H. Auden is a villanelle much like others using rhyme, repetition, and meter, that revolve around the main idea of the continuity time and its unforeseeable nature.
I would like to be a Middle School History Teacher. Middle School teachers are responsible for teaching kids ages 10 to 14 in a variety of school settings. Most of Middle School teachers teach in the Public-School system or in private schools. Middle School is right between Elementary School and High School. There are two types of Middle Schools that a teacher can teach at. There is Middle School and Junior High. Middle School usually has grades 6 through 8. It can sometimes consist of grades 5 through 8. Junior High has grades 7 through 8 or grades 7 through 9. There are a variety of ways to teach in these schools. But you still need two things to get a job in this career field. You need the credentials and the education.
Imagine your kindergartner walking along the street alone and all of a sudden, a white van pulls up and offers your child some candy, and he/she walks up to them. The person takes the kid and drives off. What would you do if this happened? If I were to teach a lesson to some children I would contain a lot of information for this topic. This child could have avoided this, he wouldn’t have fallen for it if he had known about stranger danger. I would explain what strangers are, and they are people that you know. Next, I would explain the dangers, ways to avoid strangers, and why not to talk to strangers online or in person.
