• General training: Make sure employees know how to act/respond in all kinds of emergencies. Make sure employees have had practice applying the training they learned.
• Research and development: Make sure company has research teams that look for iron or other materials and develop the best possible product for clients to purchase.
• Hazmat: Make sure company has a hazmat team or access to hazmat team that can clean up a hazardous spill in a safe and productive manner.
• Equipment: The company has many large and expensive equipment and it must be a priority to protect the equipment during any incident.

Human Capital – The company will determine which employees are essential to the manufacturing side of the facility and offer to temporarily transfer them to other locations to work and help ease the stress of increasing production. Other employees will be given normal salaries while the Pittsburgh site is inoperable. It is to be understood that most workers will not want to come into work however the company could offer an incentive such as an extra vacation day, and overtime hours to workers who come in despite the circumstances.
3. Continuity Teams and Leadership- The planning chief will review plans, the emergency services will be the main coordinator, the staff coordinator will update the plan on a regular basis, the operations manager will train staff, and the training coordinator will document developments.
4. Delegation of Authority- In order to keep control of the facility delegation authority of command must be in place. The finance team will be responsible in determining budgets. Human resource will contact employees to see who is available. The head supervisor of the facility will be in charge in contacting the inspectors and removing the trailers.
5. Facilities- In the event that the Pittsburgh facility is not safe to work in we will have to transfer all possible machines and materials to alternate location located in Hamburg and Singapore.

In addition, training should also be tailored to specific positions in the company and employees roles. Management may need additional training to help deal with employee issues, while someone in purchasing may need more training on gifting policies and someone in finance needs to understand the company’s position on fraud.
Training and Development is imperative to the organization’s progress. Training helps addressing employee weaknesses and builds a reliable and skilled workforce. This will improve the employees’ performance and boost their self confidence, and innovation. By acquiring the needed knowledge and skills, employees can perform more efficiently and increase the overall productivity of the organization.

Delegation of authority is the act of assigning powers or authority to another entity. In this paper, I will summarize a situation where I experienced delegation of authority, and explain how it correlates to the content of Chapter Six, (Bagley & Savage, 2010).

Remember, the main purpose of employee training is to develop the employee's skill which will eventually make the organization more profitable (Ameeq-ul-Ameeq, & Hanif, 2013).
Our textbook defines training as “systematic acquisition of skills, rules, concepts, or attitudes that result in improved performance” (p. 284). Training helps employee develop the skills and knowledge needed to perform their job correctly. In order for organizations to determine what kind of training is needed, organizations must conduct a needs analysis. The needs analysis helps determine the best training for the organization’s needs. There are three types of needs analysis that are typically conducted. These need analysis are: organizational analysis, task analysis, and person analysis.
