The characteristics that helped mold me into the person I am today is honesty, fairness, responsibility and respect. The first one is honesty in my opinion honesty is the best policy. I believe that telling the truth leads to a better outcome than telling a lie because the truth will always come out. Secondly, is fairness to me I feel that everyone should be able to have a say in a certain decision and everyone should have an equal opportunity to speak their mind.Thirdly,is responsibility for me responsibility is getting your work done on time. Another is completing a task on your own and not letting others do your work.Lastly is respect if you do not like someone you still have to show them respect and be professional.Another is respecting
The one I identified with the most was the tenth characteristic in which Lake and Baeyer talked about time management. I find that this attribute is valuable to me because of how I have used it in the past. Managing
Listening, 2. Determination, 3. Goal setting, 4. Management and leadership of people, 5. Ability to get along with diverse groups (Bethel University, 2014). I think that Number 1 is one of my better qualities, I truly like to learn and I also like to help others and the best way to do that is to listen to what is being said. My Dad use to say, “you can’t learn anything if you are talking, you have to remain quiet and listen” (W.A. Buckner, np, no #). Number 2, has never been an issue for me, I have been and always will be determined to better myself and hopefully others. Number 3, is one thing that I have done my entire life and work diligently to achieve any goal I set for myself. Number 4, I have been to many leadership schools in the Army as well as supervisor schools within law enforcement and think that I have a good grasp of what is necessary to be an effective leader, which I personally believe is more important than just being a manager. Leaders set the example and will work alongside their subordinates to accomplish a task, whereas a manager will merely direct others to complete the task. Lastly number 5, again goes back to my life experience within the military and law enforcement, which hones ones skills to effectively work with all nationalities and races for the betterment of
Personal Character traits can help you grow as a person because with good character by you just being nice to someone you could make their day, and seeing them happy can make you feel
The next characteristic is leadership. Leadership is helping, guiding or leading others to reach a goal. I'm a leader not only in school but outside of school as well. Outside
For example scholarships, but not all are like that most are characteristics. Such as leadership, which is something, we in the FFA are strongly focused on, because in any job or situation you are going to need leadership skills. However it finds it way to be interwoven with other characteristics which we help students to build, teamwork is one of those interlinking character traits. This if possible is even more important than leadership due to the fact you can’t lead others if you don’t know how to work with others. Many of the projects we take during the year will require you to work with others while possibly taking charge of a group and leading them, but to do this you will need to first know how to work with members of your team. The most important characteristic and the one that parents, teachers, and your peers will see you grow in is responsibility. With out this you can’t accomplish much with leadership and teamwork, cause in a team you will be responsible for part of reaching a common goal or in leadership you will be responsible for making sure that the project comes together and everyone knows there part. Also because if you are a leader or even in the real world when you have a job people need to know they can count on you. Which means you can’t just slack off, procrastinate and it means you work hard and get your job done in the amount of time you given while putting in you best
What makes up my character, is my determination to finish things that I start and my willingness to help others. When I am given a task, I will stop at nothing until I am sure that it is completed. Whether it is school, sports, or community service, my focus is always on completing the task. Whenever I see a classmate struggle with something, I am always there and ready to assist them with their problem. My willingness to help others and my determination to complete tasks is what makes the person that I am. The shy quiet kid that I used to be has turned into a helpful, determined, sincere
Finally, my last characteristic (and my most important, personally) I enjoy helping people. Whether to be with homework or a personal situation, I am always willing to listen and help people accordingly. This is why I’m going to major in music education and minor in psychiatry is college; sharing knowledge and advice is something I’ve always succeeded at and been fond
Each and every person is different, as is their character, but the character can reveal many characteristics about that person’s life. I believe that I have valueable charcter. Some examples include: determination and diligence. If I set my sight upon a goal I know I can reach, I don’t stop until that goal ss within my grasp. Staying focused on a goal is important, but investing time and effort to finish tasks is also important. When there are certain tasks assigned to me I don’t sit and procrastinate especially if I know that people are relying on me. If I am to be accepted into NHS I believe that I can influence others to never give up and always stay focused on their
Have you ever wondered what three character traits would describe you? In our own words would you describe yourself differently they your friends and family. If I had to describe myself in three ways I would say I’m athletic, intelligent, and faithful.
For example some qualities are: dependability- being reliable, responisble, and fulfilling obligations also stress tolerance- being able to take critism and dealing with it calmly and last self control- maintaining composure keeping emotions in check, controlling your anger, avoiding agreesive behavior, even in very affective situations. Some abilities they look for are: oral expression meaning having the ability to communicate information and ideas in a way that others can understand it, you also have problem sensitivity which is having the ability to tell something is wrong or will go wrong this does not mean solving the problem just dedacting the problem, and last deductive reasoning which is applying rules to specific problems and coming up with answers that make
I have many different qualities that attribute to my character. Some including, I am a naturally positive person, I am non-judgmental, and I try my best to be focused and efficient. I also like to make people laugh, but I know when to be serious. Part of being a good leader is knowing how to work as a team. Many of the activities I participate in have shown me how to do so. I believe in working as a team to come up with solutions, plans, and ideas.
One of them being conscientiousness. Conscientious people are very driven and orderly. They set goals and firm plans to achieve these goals. Rarely are they spontaneous or disorganized. My score within the Big Five Personality Profile was moderate for conscientiousness. I would say that I do exhibit some of these characteristics. I can be very organized and reliable. As a weakness, I find that I am not always a self-starter. I will set goals and stick to them, but need that push from others to get started. For instance, I was given the opportunity to work on an exciting new project at work that involves direct feedback from employees that I would personally deliver to upper management. This would be a big responsibility as I would be representing hundreds of employees and voice the current concerns of our group. I was asked to think it over. While processing the position, three others volunteered and I lost out of the opportunity. I took my time and wasn’t as organized in my decision making, therefore I missed out greatly.
* The characteristics of people included trustworthiness, reliability and constructiveness. The core of every human being is positive. Unfavourable characteristics arise out of defensiveness due to internal imbalances, low self esteem and fear.
The first trait that I have chosen is ability to communicate. Having grown up in a multicultural environment, communication is something that I have come to appreciate as an important trait for a leader. This realization was further reinforced during my experience working as part of a team in one of my workplaces. I was once part of a team that was involved in coming up with a community outreach program in our workplace as part of the company’s corporate
A second characteristic is the aversion to depending on others. I have found that in group projects, I would much rather complete all the work instead of relying on others to contribute because I know that it will be completed correctly and satisfactory. Again, regarding to living with roommates, as frustrating as it can be to be the only one cleaning and making sure the apartment is somewhat presentable, I believe that it is the only way that it will be done properly and to my standard.
