Courage is important: Courage causes a lot of impactful things in the world. Courage is when somebody does something, regardless of risk or fear, and does it for their own or somebody else's sake. When somebody is scared, it can be hard to find courage, especially if they have to take a risk to accomplish what they want. Somebody who doesn't show enough bravery and courage will not do anything in life because they are too fearful. This is shown in Malala's speech for winning the Nobel Peace prize.

William Golding kills off everything important to survival and by this he means that the world is doomed. So many significant objects are broken by the end of the book, The Lord of the Flies by William Golding, which is a novel about a bunch of inexperienced boys being trapped together on an island and are forced to find means of survival. There are a lot of symbols in this book that all represent the only way they can survive. Each symbol represents a piece of the world and how it functions. Without all of these pieces, the world can’t function. William Golding clearly shows that the world is doomed by one by one killing off all of the objects and symbols that keep them sane and alive.
There 's at least one person we all know who maybe have a deadly disease and may not be receiving the treatment they desperately need. Michael Crichton a film producer, critic and author of “Patenting Life,” earned his degree from Harvard Medical School, and author John E. Calfee a resident scholar of American Enterprise Institution and economist author of “Decoding the Use of Gene Patents” both share their views on gene patents. Crichton and Calfee share similarities on the research itself, but do not share the same ideas on whether or not gene patents put a halt on research, and paying a royalty to study the gene.

As my first year of high school as a freshman finally comes to an end, I cannot hide the feeling of excitement when I hear the word summer. Like previous years of my life, I would not finish the school year to my best ability. Although, I would not be rewarding myself and representing my progress and learning of a student if I did not write this final essay. I am proud to say that this essay will reflect my growth of an intellectual, kind, and curious figure. I would not have been able to develop without the helpful hand of the characters I analyzed and connected to in the novels I read throughout the school year. Elie Wiesel from the novel Night and Judy Boone from the novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time taught me how the way people respond to conflict shapes who they become.
