In Rear Window, Hitchcock uses visuals in order to capture the perfect cinematic film and experience. We as the viewers identify with Jeff because much like how he is watching his neighbors, we are also speculating his life as a film. Our hero, L.B. Jeffries or “Jeff”, out of boredom creates an outdoor theater for himself by spying on his the people outside his window. Hitchcock uses “murder-as-entertainment” and the idea of watching a cinematic film as ways to captivate the viewers and make us subconsciously take part in intruding on someone else’s life. Hitchcock then punishes Jeff and the viewers for being “peeping toms” and casting our unwanted voyeurism on other people’s private lives. Through fear and embarrassment, Hitchcock puts our actions into perspective as we become self-conscious of our indecent objectification toward human lives.

What do you think is the least important of the films that we've watched in this class so far? Why did you pick this film? Psycho is the least important film because I can't stand horror. The plot was predictable with that guy being his mother so it was uninteresting.
The first person that stood out to me was Claudita and her family. The film followed her story of how she was killed and continued to follow the father because he was trying to achieve justice for her death. The second scene was when a victim’s family member traveled to the Association of Women to talk about different victims. She then traveled to Washington D.C. to talk about the story as well. The third story that stood out was a younger girl who was raped. She wasn’t killed because she said she would not tell authorities. However, she later, rightfully did tell the authorities. Her rapist escaped jail and asked for a hand in marriage so he would not be charged with a crime.
Where the movie comes into its own, however, is in its ability to incorporate and deal with a variety of genres. Every movie genre seems to make an appearance, so much so that to categorise the movie as simply a "psychological horror" or a "supernatural thriller" would be an unforgivable insult. Even

Although entertaining, there is a lack of horror sensation. Natalie Dormer plays worried sister, Sara, searching for her twin in the deep Aokigahara Forest. The suicide forest as many refer to it as is located at Mount Fuji’s base in Japan. Jess, Sara’s twin sister has wandered off into the Aokigahara forest on a school field trip only to wind up lost and stranded. As Sarah searches day and night, she comes across many frightening but over dramatic obstacles. Which include, abandoned cabins, ghosts, voices, and holes in the ground. All of which are very notable in every and any mystery movie. The whole movie had a conspicuous plot from the very beginning.

Starring Boris Karloff as Imhotep/Ardath Bey; Zita Johann as Helen Grosvenor/Princess Ankhesenamon. As a child, this movie about a man returned to life after thousands of years got me hooked on the study of Ancient Egypt. Although filmed entirely in the USA, the set designs evoked in me the lure of the ruins of Cairo, Luxor and the arcane Valley of the Kings. Filmed only 10 years after the discovery of King Tut 's tomb, the movie expresses the world 's wonder and excitement at the unveiling of all those artifacts and gold. And malefic curses. Remade many times it is still this
