When I think of a teacher, I think about all of their good qualities. Kindness, patience, and care are all good qualities of a teacher. Mrs. Collier represented all of these good qualities. She was always patient with her students. The only time she would get mad is if someone acted out on a day to day basis.
Mrs. Collier was a good example of a great teacher. She would always treat the students in her classroom with respect and kindness. She showed this by helping any student that of course needed help with an assignment. She was also respectful of students and didn’t change course all of a sudden when the students are working on something that she told them to work on.

Mr. Wray was the first teacher and the only male teacher I observed. The class was a 7th grade Social Studies academy class. Throughout the observation I noticed he really cares about his students. He took his time going over the topic of discussion, and when some of the students couldn’t catch on he stopped to help the individuals. His class was very well behaved. The only time I really noticed any of the students socializing were when Mr. Wray put them in groups to complete a study guide. The second teacher I observed was 6th grade teacher Mrs. Dunn. She was teaching English to her students. She went over verb phrases and helping verbs throughout the class. I noticed whenever she asked questions quite a few of the students participated by answering. Mrs. Dunn had a positive attitude throughout the class period. I felt she truly enjoyed all her students and treated them the same. Even when some of the students didn’t answer questions correctly she didn’t make them feel dumb. She would just tell them good try. I could tell her students really liked her as a teacher also. The last teacher I observed at Westside Junior High was 7th grade Science teacher Mrs. Dugas. This lady came off as a very strict teacher compared to the other two I had observed. Her students were very talkative, which only made her become more annoyed when having to fuss at them. There are many characteristics that are necessary for teachers to have. First, it’s important for teachers to be vastly knowledgeable about their subject matter. Teachers need to be enthusiastic about whatever they are teaching, especially if they want to sustain students' interest. If the teacher isn't interested in the subject, why should the students? Educators should always be willing to learn all they can about the content in which they are teaching—making the content as relevant or interesting as possible. It wasn't until she went to do fieldwork in schools, that she decided to become a teacher. She realized, through inspiring teachers and students she worked with, that she wanted to do just what every teacher that inspired her to do. She wants to be seen as a positive role model to her students and teach them how to cooperate with each one another. I don’t know what’s going on with me and other people. It’s utterly ridiculous how people dislike me so much. Some don’t even recognize the name “Richard” anymore. Nobody is rarely ever there for me since my master died. There’s one person I’ve always wished to have by my side which is, Samuel Collier. He’s always brave, his master, John Smith always seems to rely on him. People always know him and he never seems to look at the negative side. Miss. Nelson's students never saw or appreciated what a caring teacher she really was. After her students had left for recess, she told Principal Humleker she "loved teaching" but her students just didn't want to be taught by her. While Miss. Viola Swamp was taking over for Miss. The teachers profiled in “Unforgettable Miss Bessie”, “My Favorite Teacher”, and “And the Orchestra Played On” are remembered and admired by the narrators. Miss Bessie, Miss Hattie, and Mr. K. possessed significant qualities that made them remarkable educators. They inspired and encouraged students. They only wanted the best for their students and prepared them for their futures, enabling them to overcome difficulties in school. Besides the content of their subject matter these educators their taught students to believe that their lives and future all depends from themselves: whether they would choose the clean asphalt road or dirty, bumpy one.

In the words of Gary D. Schmidt of The Wednesday Wars, the qualities that I think that makes Mrs. Baker a good teacher are, her hospitality and acting mother like towards Holling. Mrs. Baker is a kind hearted, sweet teacher. She takes care of her student as if they were her children by blood, and helps them understand more literature by reading Shakespeare's novels. She might want you to do essays and a cross out a lot of answers with a red pen, but she cares for everyone.
The atmosphere she created in her classroom was unlike any teacher I’d ever had. If there’s one thing I could say, her class was never boring. While observing Mrs. Cirrincione, I liked her classroom management skills. The students seemed to know what was expected of them at all times. Mrs. Cirrincione also connected much of the students’ lessons to their personal interests, which means she has taken the time to get to know each of her students. Mrs. Cirrincione pulled sticks throughout the day giving each student the opportunity to participate. Throughout several of the lessons, Mrs. Cirrincione would give the students helpful hints to remember the content. Ms. Gruwell was more dedicated and determined than the other teachers at Woodrow Wilson High School. Even though she was warned by other faculty and staff members, she went in with an unbiased opinion of the students in her class. She led the classroom by not showing her frustrations when something went wrong or if a fight broke out. Instead of complaining about the lack of resources that the school provided her with, she found ways to get it herself by working more jobs. Throughout the lesson she would walk around and interact with the students to make should they were on task and understanding the assignment. She provided visual aids to assist in the lesson and allowed students to pair with each other in order to provide extra help. Students had to sit up straight in class and track the teacher while she was at the board during whole group instruction. One thing I really loved because its someshing I do in my classroom. All students were required to raise their hands when asked a respond to a question regarding the lesson.
Although I have had many different types of teachers, there are two that stick out more than any others. The first was my third and sixth grade teacher. She was the best teacher I ever had. The second was my seventh grade teacher. She was the worst I think a student could have had. Both, these teachers had very different teaching styles and very different out looks on teaching. To be an effective teacher the teacher must respect the student and be willing to go the extra mile to help the students learn all they can. In this paper, I will discuss the effectiveness of these two teachers and how their teaching styles differed.
Her class of teachers take their jobs very seriously, and do not tolerate students who skip or disrupt their classes. These teachers are fun, because once you get them off on some irrelevant tangent, they will keep themselves going on it for entire class segments, trying to get out years of thought and consideration in just a short period of time. This is how I got to know my psychology teacher, because I was the one who kept her talking, so that the class could avoid taking the quiz that none of us had studied for. Teachers like her have the innate gift to educate and entertain, with their comprehensive lessons and subtle quirks.
