One of my favorite Christmas memories from when I was a kid is that my family would make delicious sugar cookies at my grandma’s house. She’d make the dough the night before and the next day my brother and I would turn into flour covered sugar fiends as we rolled the dough out, pressed holiday shapes into and prepared crazy frosting colors to smear on each cookie after they finished baking.
After shopping we went to the food court and ate the most marvelous pretzels I've ever had in my life. The pretzels were to die for. The warmness when you take the first bite, and the way it crunches in your mouth. They were so buttery, the salt melted right in my mouth. My mom also bought some cookies for us from this incredible Christmas cookie place. They smelled so sweet, and tasted like you were in heaven. I had a sugar cookie along with white frosting and a massive, fat Santa on a sleigh. My mom got a chocolate chip cookie with green Christmas trees and colorful lights around the tree branches. I don't think I've ever seen such cute cookies, and most creative. A real artist has had to draw them.
