Every organization strives to achieve a high reputation and music schools are no different. In fact, being responsible for the future of young talents, it is of utmost importance to have a teaching staff that is highly qualified and professionalized to provide music education to children. The director checks the credentials of a teacher even before interviewing him/her.
Moreover, teachers at music schools have a healthy competition going on among themselves. Teachers sit together during a cup of coffee or over lunch and discuss issues and methods of music education every day. After concerts and tests, they discuss about the progress of each student. It's quite a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere in the teachers' room and this helps the younger teachers learn new things from the

But this view is correct only if they want their child to learn for a maximum of four or five years.
If parents think that the music lessons will be taught better and more efficiently by private teachers, it shows that they have no idea of the vast benefits that music education at music schools has to offer. Moreover, as I stated in one of my previous articles, the IQ of children increases only if they study several music subjects, which is possible only at music schools. This is because you need an expert to teach each one of these subjects!
The environment of music education is one of the important constituents of music education. When kids are small, they look up to their parents as the authoritative figures. When they grow older into teenagers, they consider their friends and schoolmates as the authority. This natural phenomenon needs to be considered seriously! Before the age of 12, you as parents are the most influential figures in the children's life. Afterward, they will have more people in life to look up to, and have certain goals and
Living in a world surrounded by noises and sounds, one cannot deny that music lives all around them. Schools, street corners, sporting events, there is one thing you will always find: music. Music education is quickly becoming defunct in schools, as many try to decry its many benefits. A growing emphasis on the concrete subjects of math and science, whose benefits are more immediate, are pushing the creativity and imagination of music classes to the back of the budget. Music education is no longer described as stimulating and exciting, but rather unnecessary and distracting. But the benefits of having an education in music is undeniable. Simply being around music can have a positive impact on life. Music enables the human race to discover emotions that they have never uncovered before. The human mind is refreshed by music; “our imagination and memories are stimulated by the sounds, and summon feelings and memories associated with the musical sound” (Wingell 15). Without music, the world would be silent. Lifeless. No matter what language one speaks or what culture one is from, music is a universal language, connecting the hearts of people around the entire world. In schools throughout the nation, that connection is being severed because of budget cuts and lack of funding, but the benefits of music education are clear. The benefits of having an education in music are not only present in the classroom; a lasting impact is also left on the social and emotional growth of a person, though the gains may not be evinced immediately. Participating in musical education programs in schools can give students the opportunity to form lasting friendships and to gain skills that will last them their entire lives. Music education can be beneficial to students because it enhances students’ performance in the classroom, aids in improving student’s interest and engagement in school, and advances students’ social and emotional growth.
* “when you speak with great educators, and look behind the test scores, the lessons learned in studying music, learning to play an instrument, playing in a band, learning to read music, all provide a richness to a child's education that will last a lifetime,” (par 1).
Across the United States many elementary school music classrooms are filled with simple and popular tunes such as Hot Cross Buns and The Ode to Joy, played on the recorder, while high school students may be playing collegiate or professional pieces of music such as Armenian Dances and Carmen Suites. I have been very fortunate to have gone on the journey of progressing through different music education programs within Fairfax County Public Schools. If I was never exposed to music while in elementary school I might not have ever found one of my greatest passions or been able to create such fond and unforgettable memories. While music education programs across the country appear large and strong, many schools are beginning to experience budget reductions. As a result, music is often the very first component of a school 's curriculum or programs to be cut or significantly reduced, but I believe this is not the right course of action. It is important to preserve and promote music education in public schools because of the proven cognitive, character, and academic benefits for students.
After evaluating student’s responses, it is important to recognize that teachers and directors have different perspectives and views. Mrs. Grizzle, the director here at VCMS, and three students were asked a series of questions regarding how music can help them and other students. Furthermore, Mrs. Grizzle has said, “ I hope that I impact students to have confidence in themselves, constantly work for improvement, and accept everyone.” This shows us just how much
Last but not least the music department can teach many new skills and not just learning an instrument. While involved and learning music it can teach not only how to sing or play an instrument but also patience, persistence, responsibility, how to read music, elevates performance skills, and how to work in a group or as a team.
The power of education resides within its ability to fruitfully illuminate and transform the mind of a student. Unfortunately, when this education lacks depth and substance it can limit the student in a manner that creates toxicity towards growing. One of the subjects that helps create a robust scholar but always finds itself in danger is music education. As a musician, most of my work has been in practicing and performing, but the more important aspect of my passion that is often overlooked is giving back through educating the younger generation.
Anyway ¨ some parents think their children should focus more in schoolwork¨ founded in Source number 2 and it is true that music is an elective that has nothing to do with schoolwork. But school work have had stress a lot our children ,who need a litte help .In Source 2 stayes that ¨kids who play an instrument feel less stress in their lives ¨.Consider this there are more benefits in including music programs in school that we expeted.
From the sources that I have collected most of them support my opinion that music education must be funded since it helps build young students characters. The article, “Class Dismissed” helps support this opinion by using the examples of musical artist that would not have existed without music in school. The article will also
Picture yourself walking through a hallway in a high school The same hallway that every Friday afternoon the band marches down playing music for the football game pep rally. Or, visualize walking by the auditorium and hearing the beautiful, distinct voices of each person in the choir. Now, picture that same school but with no music education, no band, and no glee clubs. Imagine that group of kids for whom music was a major part of their world. Where do you see these kids now? Lost? Hurting? Not able to cope or fit in to a group of people? Wondering where they belong? Music education is slowly getting eliminated in public schools. Without these ensembles, kids do not have a way to express their feelings and are not able to connect with other
Whether you play a musical instrument, or listen to it, it can have great influence in how a person can learn like a song to help them learn a certain order of words for a test. Mary points out that learning how to play music isn’t easy. However, after a student learns how to play, it usually brings joy to the individual and the people around them. Some tests have shown that students who have music in their lives do better academically. Students once again apply the elements of self-control and discipline into other classes. Music can affect a student’s social stand point as well. Music connects individuals, groups and even also connects countries. There are organizations that take students worldwide to share music. In sum music plays a key role not only in education, but in strengthening soul and emotional bonds amongst people in general. Music has integrated itself into the human life so much that it is imperative for us to survive because of the mind-set, relief it brings, and the spiritual side to it.
When asking my first questions to Mrs. Andruska in our pre-conference, it became clear that she prides herself on providing highly effective instruction for all of her students. I asked her about the areas of her instruction that she takes pride in, and where she believes her biggest strengths are. She explained that she prides herself on incorporating a variety of music education methodologies into her teaching. These methodologies include Orff, Kodaly, and Dalcroz, all of which Mrs. Andruska has studied and obtained certifications in. Her attention to detail in her lesson design, preparation, and organization was evident when discussing the lesson I would be observing.
When schools are low in money ,and have budget cuts, if the music program isn 't good enough, it’s usually the first program to be cancelled (Bartimoccia). Meaning it is no longer available to students. With this in mind, good and successful music instructors are important to society because without them music programs and all other musical activities or people don 't have a chance to make it into the musical business. A music educator is a rewarding job because they help students learn about general music, choral or voice music , instrumental music, or a combination of all music.

In conclusion, music in the school system brings many wonderful opportunities, advantages, and gives students a proper place of belonging. It strengthens the student’s academic placement, creates positive setting, and brings money into the school and it’s
When you provide a child with new worlds to explore and challenges to tackle, the possibilities are endless. Music education should not be a privilege for a lucky few, it should be a part of every child’s world of possibility.” (Clinton). Every child should be provided with a music education because of the many valuable life lessons it teaches. Being in a music class or band will give students life long friendships and memories that will last a lifetime, and that is something that every child deserves to
