To speak two different languages is such a impressive trait to have. One of my best friends is bilingual and she amazes me. Her name is Evelyn and I met her four years ago. I was eleven when we first met and she was ten. She lives in Montevideo, Uruguay. I made the long and dreadful trip back there when I was thirteen. It was like a gigantic family reunion. I went back again just a month ago, this time being fifteen years old. In an peculiar way, it feels like we have grown up together. Getting to visit her, her inspiring family, and prodigious church has been one of the most encouraging things in my life. I had the privilege to sing with her and a few others this time when I visited. Turns out, Evelyn has the voice of an angel. Of course she claims she can’t sing at all, but she is too humble to admit she can. Speaking of humble leads me to her next trait. It is insane how humble her and her family are. They all have countless talents, but would never take the glory to honor themselves. Their goal is to make sure all of the praise and glory goes straight to God; The One who gave them the ability to perform these talents. Evelyn is gorgeous. She has the most luscious hair, and the biggest brightest smile. When she walks into a room, everyone notices her beauty. Evelyn is influential. Her unique and cheerful attitude rubs off on me. The neatest trait about her is that yes, she is beautiful on the outside, but she is even prettier on the inside. The way she cares for people
Many people have a best friend or a family member that moves away. They will always be remembered and always have a place in your heart. Two years ago my cousin, Julia moved away to another country, Germany. When she first traveled to Germany, she was visiting her boyfriend and his family. Julia and her boyfriend, Sven were in a long distance relationship for two years. They traveled back and forth to each others countries. Sven and Julia fell in love and later we found that they were engaged, to be married.
I have two best friends, Jimmy and Greg, and they have been my best friends since middle school. We met the first day of middle school during recess. All three of us loved hanging out with each other than, and continue hanging out every day now. Although, Jimmy and Greg do not normally hang out without me. My best friends, Jimmy and Greg, are total opposites of each other. Personality wise Jimmy is very outgoing, meanwhile, Greg is antisocial. Furthermore, my friend Jimmy goes to college unlike Greg who works two full-time jobs. Lastly, Greg’s hobby includes car racing while Jimmy’s hobby includes collecting sneakers.
Bang! I woke up to the sound of the garbage man slamming the heavy garbage can to the ground. Every Saturday I woke up to that same sound except this Saturday was a special one. It’s the day I had been waiting for, for about two months, now my trip to Madagascar! I was fortunate enough to be going for fourteen spectacular days with my best friend Colin. Colin had been my best friend for as long as I can remember. I had made so many great memories with him and I can’t wait to make more. He is the definition of a perfect friend with his funny and outgoing personality. We were staying at this premium all inclusive resort, which had endless fresh caught shrimp and squeezed tropical juices! Colin had always rambled about wanting to go somewhere exotic so we decided to explore a part of the world we had never seen for our Christmas break. Also it was a nice bonus to get away from the windy city of Chicago which was starting to get colder in the winter months. I heard a knock on my door and rushed down the stairs of my apartment. I could see Colin’s broad and short figure through the frosted glass of my door. He came in and we feasted on some Cheerios and fruit, It was going to be a very long flight from Chicago to Madagascar and we didn’t want to be hungry on the plane. The adrenaline rushing through his body was evident to me. Oh, I forgot to mention we were taking Colin’s parent’s private jet. The clock read nine-thirty and our flight took off at eleven so we decided to pack
I will never forget my beloved Lily. The way her eyes sparkled in the sunshine, how she made me smile, and feel, is a feeling that I will never be able to feel again for anyone else. She was the love of my life. I mean, I was 15 years old and I just knew that I wanted to marry her and nothing would ever change that. When I first met her, I knew that she was something special and this love would mean something. On the day we met, my best friend, Daniel, came to visit and introduced her to me and I will never forget that meeting.
I got the privilege to sing with her and a few others this time when I visited. Turns out, Evelyn has the voice of an angel. Of course she claims she can’t really sing at all, but she is too humble to admit she can. Speaking of humble leads me to her next trait. It is insane how humble her and her family are. They all have countless talents but would never take the glory to honor themselves. Their goal is to make sure all of the praise and glory goes straight to God; The One who gave them the ability to perform these talents. Evelyn is gorgeous. She has the most luscious hair, and the biggest brightest smile. When she walks into a room everyone notices her beauty. The cool thing about her is that yes, she is beautiful on the outside, but she is even prettier on the inside. The way she cares for people is unreal. She could be hurt or not feeling well, but that does not mean her
Story begins in 8th grade. i have never really talked to her for the entirety of me being in larchmont, but i knew of her existence and that she had previously dated Ben (one of my good friends at the time). We first star kind of talking when someone made a group chat and claire was added to it, by probably Sadie, who was her best friend at the time. The group chat was just normal as usual, and just talking and chatting, until someone mentioned something of Ben or something and and Claire said something along the lines of Ben and i being best friends, and i replied by saying that it was arguable. By saying that, it lead to her want to know more about it, and refused to believe that we weren't best friends. She continued to pester me that he and i were best friends or why i said that it was arguable that we weren’t. For the rest of the week she’d see me in the hallway, and chase me down trying to ask me about what i meant about saying Ben and i weren’t best friends. in a way, we were kind of being flirty, considering, that this girl never have really talked to before, all of a sudden started getting interested in my life. As the week continued, she started hanging around our group more, which i believe is mostly because Sadie just had her exist around us more. By group, i mean (Sadie, Bryan, Quinn, Mason, Joseph, and possibly Caleb if you want to consider him).
We all need to be more grateful in life. You take a moment and you don't think about how it will affect you, or your family, or even your closest friend. Everything affects anything you do or say. I'm going to be writing about the day I lost my best friend. Well we made up now and are friends but we will never be as close as we were. I'm not going to be writing about why we aren't friends. More just some memories that have stuck with me over the last year. To basically show how these affected me good and bad.
Time really doesn’t heal; it just blurs things. It will never pull a cover over my best friends face or hide the fact that I hurt him in the worst way. Joseph was a quirky guy with thick, brown, curly hair who wore glasses that were too big for his face. His pants didn't fit him right, he always tucked in his shirts, and he smelled like fresh laundry.
Leah and her friend, Josey, have been best friends since they were in kindergarten. They live next door to each other, right on the shore of the beach. Leah is tall and muscular. She has brown hair and eyes as blue as the ocean. She is on both the soccer and surf team. Leah doesn’t really enjoy school. In contrast, her best friend, Josey, has hair like the golden sky on a sunny day and chocolate brown eyes. She is short and skinny. Josey is on the mathletes team and loves school. They seem like opposites of each other but they do have a lot in common. Josey and Leah both love hanging out at their favorite cafe, The Beachside Cafe. Also, they both love all marine animals and really enjoy spending their free time at the beach. Josey and Leah do everything they can to help animals. For example, they volunteer at the SPCA and sell crafts to raise money to donate to wild animal rescue groups.
Throughout life we all have at least one person that we call our “best friend”, whether they are family or just someone that you truly get along with. These people step into your life for the greater good, and you wouldn’t know what to do without them. Throughout middle school my family had some rough patches, my father was a drug abuser and my mother just didn’t know how to handle it at the time. By the middle of seventh grade my parents finally split up and we moved from St.Clair to West Plains Mo. Where I got to meet this loving family that I never even knew of for most of my life. That is where I met my great grandpa, his name is Melvin Roy Schuler. This man was my best friend for quite a period of time. I would say I was closer to him than anyone at the time and he just knew me for who I was.
June 9, the day my best friend Abby, had gotten her first boyfriend. Don’t get me wrong, at the time I was more than happy for her but little did I know that this would change everything, and I mean everything. I can't pinpoint the exact reason that lead to our friendship ending but it all comes down to the fact that it no longer exists. You would expect me to tell about some big fight that ended our friendship and left us both in tears and regrets, because that how things are supposed to end. No, not ours; Ours ended much differently and for many different reasons.
It's kind of weird how one day you can be so happy that you feel like nothing could ever bring you down, and the next day you feel so depressed that you don't want to come out of your room. That's the way it was for me. One day I was playing basketball and going to youth group, the next I was laying in my room feeling sick.
Gorham, Maine, was a large town, surrounded by boring history from pilgrims and greasy pizzerias that stunk of moldy tomato sauce. I was in 4th grade, and I had a lot of friends. My best friend’s name was Christian, he would do every bad thing you could imagine from cussing out kids on the playground to getting in random fights. I’m not really sure how we became friends, but we did anyway. Even though the area where I grew up was rough. I liked it a lot. I had awesome friends and an awesome neighborhood were I was able to ride my bike everywhere and go down to the pond to catch some frogs. I had my mind set and I didn’t want to move. At the time I played multiple sports, and soccer was my favorite. I loved playing defense, and laying people out when they would come onto my side of the field. I also liked it because I started every game and was never subbed off. Anyway after a long day at school I would take the bus home with my only brother who was always annoying and frustrating because he never liked to try anything new. Like that time when we were at my grandmas house and he wouldn’t even try to eat a piece of salad. God he was frustrating, another time we went skiing and he was afraid of going down the hill. Everyday we entered Ms.Linda’s creeky, bacteria filled bus that was coated in sticky sugar juice from the other kids.
I am an introvert and public speaking is very hard for me. I genuinely like school and I even the academic side of school, especially math and science. School is also fun because I get to see all my friends everyday. My best friends however, don’t go to Paul Revere, my best friends are my neighbors. My favorite neighbor is my best friend Theo, he would say I’m very funny, but he is even funnier. My family and friends would probably describe me as kind, funny, helpful, easy-going, and laid back. I would describe myself as outgoing and helpful. I like to put other people's needs before my own. Around people I don’t know very well I am usually quiet. I am good at getting my friends to laugh. At school I am usually very quiet inside of my
Life isn’t always what it seems to be. It’s always changing, no matter what. Even if you’re stuck in the past. It’s like it just happened yesterday, I’ll try my best to tell you about my life and how it made me who I am today.
