Most people have core values that make up who they are. Many don't realize that it influences their life decisions every day. Everyone is different which means they have different values. My core values that make up who I am, have connections to each other in my point of view. They mostly come from the way I was raised and taught by my parents. The main and most important people in my life either protect my core values or distract me from them. The values that define who I am are honesty from the people I associate with and my family, autonomy because I've always seen myself as an independent person, Success that is my motivation in life, and self respect because if I want others to respect me, I have to respect myself.

My parents actually distract me from this value. They don’t believe it’s a great idea that I move out, they want me to live with them till I get married. They also didn't want me to get a job, they would tell me to quit and that there was no need for me to be working at such a young age. But I wanted to and I learned from them, to work hard for everything I have or want. I know my mother has been working since she was fifteen and my father since he was thirteen, so I say I get my hard working skills from them. But no matter what they say I will always be very autonomous.
My success is what I look forward to and what motivates me in school and work. My first step towards success is graduating high school and then college and so on. This will lead to my happiness because I’ll get what I’ve always wanted and dreamed of. This also leads to another minor value I have which is wealth, being successful means I’ll have my dream job and living in luxury which is why wealth would be important to me. My parents and my managers from work protect this value. My parents have always been very supportive of my dreams and want me to be successful. They have always been very strict about school until it became my own choice to try hard and go to college. My managers push me hard at work so I can improve and then be a manager as well. They also support me by letting me have days off for school work and giving scholarship money for school. Everything I do now is for my future
