After a steady progression, pictorial photography as a movement emerged. Pictorial photographers believed that their field is more than just an objective, mechanical media. Photography was not just about capturing the documentation and information contained by an image, but rather, about the effect and the mood they translate. The images began to have meaning and a reason for their capture, completely transforming the images produced.
From a young age, I knew art was what I wanted to pursue. I’ve had a love of photography since I was a little girl, and my older brother, who was a photographer at the time, nourished this passion. He taught me how to use a camera before I had even graduated elementary school. I took every chance I could get to take photos. From the moment I bought my first DSLR camera in seventh grade, it never left my sight. My mother called it my ‘security blanket’ and everyone at school called me ‘camera girl’. It felt like a dream come true when I was accepted into the Digital Arts program at Stafford Technical Center; it was like opening a door to another world, one that understood how deep this passion ran and how far it really could take me. In Digital Arts, we study all types of art. Although my adoration for photography lives on, I ended up falling in love with graphic design also.
In this passage, Prose gives the reader his feelings and attitude towards nature. Giving off the impression that she has respect and dedication for it. She releases a positive message towards the subject and believes that it is a necessity for life. Throughout this passage the author uses effective figurative language and imagery. Nature can only be seen and felt by certain people. And when they are able to see nature it is a blissful and tranquil image. The wilderness has much more to offer than is the streets.
Through the immersion of one in a variety of physical environments, the manipulation of genre, form and perspective presents a polysemic representation of a diverse range of landscapes, in turn allowing responders to develop complex understandings into the human psyche. Specifically, through the interwoven utilization of complex allusions and personalized outlooks Alain De Botton’s The Art Of Travel shapes humanities greater knowledge of traveling’s impact on the human behavior and perception. Likewise, this notion is extended amongst Kenneth Slessor’s minimalistic, poetic piece North Country in which the composer highlights man’s dichotomous relationship with the physical world, and how ongoing, differentiated experiences cultivate interpersonal growth and develop individualized standpoints towards the wider globe. Consequently, both texts elicit portrayals of innumerable landscapes, which foreground the intricacies of civilization through the construction of a piece that reveals the subjectivity of our human mentalities today.
“Every time you dream at night, the dream has holes in it. You have to do something to fix those holes and make the dream become a reality,” my father often told me. Although I was very young when my dad passed away, he provided tremendous inspiration and encouragement to pursue my passions that continue to influence my life and my future endeavors. As a child, one of my favorite pastimes was acting; I would routinely act in videos with my friend while my dad filmed us. Later, I assumed responsibility for filming while my friend would act. I instantly fell in love with videography. I was enthralled with how videography could capture my point of view of the world, which prompted me to try photography. Once I began photography, I knew I wanted

Throughout the valley floor, superb sceneries cover the region with delightful trees and magnificent meadows. Exquisite views of the sheer rock faces surround the valley. You can hear the distant sounds of the crashing waterfalls,
To the left of them is a small grayish house that displays fine lines and geometric shapes that depicts organic tall green trees that hover well above the house. The positive shape and focal point of the composition is the elder sister whom is sitting in the near distance on a rock, which is covered by abstract textures and shades of green grass that surround the whole landscape. Slouched a bit forward, one arm is quietly holding her sleeping infant brother while cradling his small torso as her other arm rests vertically over his legs onto her right knee as she gazes directly at the viewer with an intense stare. The infant seems to be comfortable in her arms by the way he is laying. Noticeably the children are exquisitely portrayed leaving no signs of any flaws. They are dressed in earth toned pristine clothing, which are painted with such delicacy and show great detail in the value. In the distance behind the space where the infant’s head lays a small pond below what appears to be grassy hills and mountains, these all appear smaller than the children which create depth and distance. Above the horizon towards the vanishing point shows a sky filled with darkened clouds combined with lighter ones that appear to encompass the top portion of the plane down to the waist of the girl.
The wonderful blooms of the trees planted firmly, bring out the amazing blue of the sky. The old dock with mysteries that overlooks the cool water create a sense of wonder. The rustic old swing provides anyone who stumble across a feeling of comfort in the secluded forest. The tree with many years will continue to be there for anyone who has the opportunity to come across it. This sacred space gives someone a feeling of belonging as it comforts them and makes it feels safe with the vibrant colors displayed among the beauty. Among all, the components that create the glamorous attraction, make one feel welcome and create a longing to go back once again to savor the calming feelings created
The deliberate layout of the park grounds, the trees, the fading noises, the shrine being made the destination to the foot traveller, the contrasting design. All aspects combine, inviting me to experience the peace and beauty of the grounds, with the shrine as centrepiece. A place of significance. A sense of place. How wrong my assumptions were. What I believed to be a cold, depressing place was indeed something different altogether once I physically experienced it.
It was a cool September evening and my mom was driving me from Los Angeles all the way to Johannesville. As we drove on quiet, deserted roads I stared out the passenger’s window and saw nothing but hills with tall, dry, golden-brown grasses. It certainly wasn’t anything like what you’d see in pictures of beautiful landscapes but it wasn’t too bad either, I actually kind of liked it. Looking at those golden hills rush past my window somehow relaxed me and sent me into a staring trance, my mind traveled to other-worldly places where I could let my imagination run wild.

While others claim that photography captures the inner soul of a person, or deliberately defines it as painting or writing with light, but in my case, it is just simply a newfound love hobby. I undeniably adore and look up to expert photographers I encounter down the road may it face-to-face or the other way around. In my heart, I silently desire that someday, with hard work, determination, and perseverance, I will become professional and famous as they are. Since my husband bought a Digital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) as an anniversary gift, my penchant for photography commenced and ignited. Let me detail the essential truths behind my passion over photography.
