I would define art as transferring creativity and imagination into tangible manifestations, whether it is music, paintings, sculptures, drawings, portraits, or dance. Art comes in many colors, themes, sizes, styles, and forms. Much of this, I think, is due to the individual artist’s social interaction, ethnic and cultural background, and social status. This could’ve held true for the past as well, but in today’s world, the amount of time exposed to informational media
(television/radio news, computers with internet access) have to be added to the list of influences. I believe that all these can have an influence or impact on how a contemporary artist of today may express him/her self. The great masters of art from the

The chandelier is made from used tricycle, lampshade made from welding masks and horseshoes, bicycle and decorations made from used iron. All these items are unique and practical, and the most important thing is they are all free of charge (Thompson Reuters).
This is a prime example of what fine art fanciers may consider distasteful, for it is not aesthetically pleasing, but its crude creativity is intriguing. The objects he created were practical and by using discarded materials, he was doing his part to help the local environment. Although Tito’s creations are not beautiful, people who promote Green practices would appreciate what he has done.

There are many things that can be characterize as a work of art, all of which include the feelings and moods it evokes, the thoughts and questions it induces, and the affect it has on the senses when the art is experienced, whether it be visual, tactile or auditory. Visual art consists of paintings, frescos, and more recent than former times, photography. Visual art can have the power to grab the imagination and transport the observer into the painting itself, depending on how intriguing and alluring the image or scene may be. There are many paintings throughout history that seem to possess this ability. In Diego Velasquez’s painting, Las Meninas (Maids of Honor), he creates a stirring, uneasy feeling
For centuries, people’s aesthetic value has been influenced by Rome's perfectionism, so do I. I used to think that artworks that make people feel appreciated are just equivalent to visual appreciation and satisfaction. However, after observing the painting and researching sources of this pieces of art I realized that an excellent artwork needs to cover all aspect requirements. For instance, an excellent artwork needs to contain a high operation of art skills as well as art knowledge in order to persuade audience. In addition, to qualify as a great artwork it has to create a substantial amount of activity in the audience’s mind or heart. When I look at an artwork I always try to figure out what is the artwork's message or what the artist is trying to communicate, to convey. Overall, I think a good artwork needs include some of the elements and principles of the language of art as well as the structure they give to be able to successfully communicate an idea.
Rathnasambhava, the Transcendent Buddha of the South and Madonna Enthroned are very similar images that were produced by very different cultures. Both images were produced during the 13th Century. The image of Rathnasambhava, the Transcendent Buddha of the South was produced in Tibet during an interesting period of the country’s religious history. The branch of Tibetan Buddhism is led by a religious and sometimes political leader called the Dalai Lama. It was during the 13th Century during the reign of Kublai Khan, around the time of the production of this painting, that Tibet experienced the first incarnation of the Dalai Lama. One has to wonder if this painting is somehow related to that occurrence. According to

Formal elements (causes) in the work of art are clearly connected to the visual effects they produce
For the purpose of this research I am defining arts as a form of expressing ones
The art piece that I chose to critique is the sculpture of a figure kneeling down and getting shocked. It is located on campus near the Morris University Center(muc). When I first saw this sculpture it caught my attention immediately, because of how gruesome the piece was. I feel like I don’t have a good understanding of what the sculpture represents, but it seems like it would raise plenty of controversy, due to its erotic features. It seems like the artist was venting his emotions when he created his idea. The sculpture is fairly large in size, which makes it noticeable, among the other art pieces on campus. The sculpture media consist of wood and concrete, and metal mostly. The individual is keeling down toward the west and is supported
If you have some free time and have always wanted to visit an art gallery, a start is the Art Sacré exposition. Just do not expect high quality art. Running from October twenty-third to December eight-teenth at Les Salles de Gesù, the exposition features four artists depicting spirituality and inner self.
The most important trait in defining art is its beauty. As complex as the term “art” can be, the term “beauty” is nearly just as complicated. In order to understand art more clearly it is important to understand beauty. “We label an object beautiful because it promotes an internal harmony or ‘free play’ of our mental faculties; we call something ‘beautiful’ when it elicits this pleasure.” (Freeland 8). As defined above, beauty is not a direct message. It is something that subconsciously allows man to feel good and pleasurable. There is “an internal harmony” when we observe something beautiful that allows us to take away a deeper understanding of a work of art regardless of it being “nice looking” or “ugly”.
Merriam-Webster’s Online Dictionary[1][1] defines art as “the conscious use of skill and creative imagination especially in the production of aesthetic objects; also, works so produced.” This definition is inclusive of most forms of art. Unfortunately, art goes far beyond this limiting sentence. Art can be thoughts, aesthetic creations, musical compositions, or choreography. Art can be seen, heard, and/or felt. Art is concrete and abstract, at the same time. Art is expression and emotion. Art is anything.
The history of art dates back to ancient times. Artwork can be, and was, found around the world. What makes art interesting is that it can be created in any way, shape or form with any materials. It seems that the artwork can also tell us a lot about the artist. Art seems to be simply, a direct, visual reflection of the artist’s life. Therefore, one can assume that an artist’s life experiences and beliefs directly influence their art. If we look at examples from different periods of art we will be able to see the connection between the artist and the art.
Art is a form of human expression. Art can be seen as the artist sleight of hand on his mood. Art is in various media from posters to public wall of which we call “graffiti”. Art is elusive as the use of colors shapes and the surface used adds a new dimension. Art portrays various ideas, feelings such as triumph, love, happiness, sorrow and boredom in loss to mention a few. Art is beauty and creativity. During man’s evolution art has progressed over in its most primitive state up to its most modernized versions today.
