When I asked myself what I was I going to be when I got older, I had no answer. This made me realize that I had to make a decision and I had to make one fast. An area of study I have always been interested in is business. My dreams as a child have always been to become the President of The United States or an owner of a business. Working for a business would be intresting, but owning one would be more fulfilling. I would be able to expand my imagination by coming up with new ideas and control the company as a whole. I love designing and creating different things that make people happy, and if one day I became an owner of a company that produced products that satisfied people, that would make me happy. I soon came to the conclusion that in …show more content…
Before my research I thought that I already knew what it took to have a career in the business world. I found that there are many objectives that I have to overcome before starting my career. By doing my research, I have came to the conclusion that owning a business is not for me. I have found a new love for real estate and everything it has to offer, career wise. A real estate agent would be the perfect job for me. An agent’s main responsibility is to help a client in the process of buying, selling, renting, or leasing a piece of real estate. In order to become a successful agent I will have to go to college and major in reality. I plan to attend a small college for two years and complete my basic college courses. After two years I would like to transfer to a four year university. I am looking to transfer in order to get my Bachelor degree in real estate. The courses that I need to take throughout college include “economics, business administration, and engineering [which] are all helpful” for me becoming a real estate agent (Brymer). Real estate agents have no standard for educational requirements, but it is mandatory for an agent to be enrolled in a California D.R.E. (Department of Real Estate) approved online school, in order to get my real estate license. A real estate “license is required for individuals who conduct real estate activities” (RealEstate Salesperson License). I would have to complete the classes and “present proof
This paper will seek to provide an overview of the real estate process and its affects on the real estate agent. An agent needs to be knowledgable about the steps required to make a sale, and the risks involved when the sale does not go as planned. Real estate sales require much of the agent, including sacrifices in their personal lives and in their financial stability. Agents must be teachable and willing to seek to see others succeed. A successful real estate sale consists of many steps, sacrifices to personal time, and an agent’s ability to work well with others while remaining incredibly flexible.
Even if you can't make a living off the thing that makes you happy you should still keep it apart of your life. For instance if you can't become an artist, an athlete, or a author. It doesn't mean you have to stop. It means that their is something else in life you were meant to do. For me I'm a soccer player and I have been playing since I was 8 I keep on planning to play til College. Where I find the career that I want which I have decided on being a Physical Therapist Assistant, Engineer, or an entrepreneur. My dad wants me to be an Entrepreneur because it's a very smart job to have and I really like PTA so I haven't decided which I will in college where I will learn a lot more about the job. I like PTA because I will still be around sports
Even though many people have said to me that it is alright not to know what I want to do, I still worry about it. Recently I have thought that either graphic design or architecture would be nice because I enjoy designing things, but I am not sure that either of those things would actually make me happy. I know I want to be able to enjoy my job and make enough money to have a good home and support a family, but with both of those careers I would most likely be required to move away to find a job. That is something I would really rather not do.
Up until recently, I was like many of my peers, uncertain about what the future would hold for me. I did not know where exactly I wanted to attend school, what I wanted to study, or what I wanted to do career-wise. But, after taking high school classes like Business Information Management, Human Resources, Banking and Financial Services, and Accounting I, I found my long awaited answer, a fascination in the business and financial world. I loved attending these classes and learning new and exciting
You are considering a career in real estate. Fantastic, this is a great industry to become a part of.
When I was 5 to 13, I would say I want to be a Formula one racer, a professional soccer or basketball player. Nonetheless, because of all kind of the factors, I did not continue the path of becoming a professional athlete. For a while, I was looking for some works that might suit me in the future. In order to find an answer, I have been participated in three different summer college programs during high school vacation. However, I still could not decide after that. Until my parents suggested me to do something which relates to my interest, I finally determined the area I wanted.
Life is full of decisions. You have the choice to decide what you want to do for a career. Some may have jobs they wish they could change or made the decision before to have done something differently. The career you choose should be something you love, along with aspects that fit your values the best. Interest, skills, financially that you know you can excel in. A plan for life is important, so it’s best to know or have an idea on what you want to proceed in.
A career in business suits me because I am motivated, persistent, confident, and innovative. I have always had the passion for making a profit, but I never applied business as a career option. When I was a junior, I bought an old Schwinn bicycle for $10. I took the time to sand, prepare and paint the bike. Once the bicycle was all done, I sold it for $275. This caught my uncle's attention. My uncle, having an entrepreneurial background with his very own auto shop in Mexico, saw my talents and willingness to work. As an undecided junior not sure about college, he made it clear to me that business should be a possible profession. Reluctant at first, I took his advice and researched careers in business. I was surprised by the broad variety of career choices that a business
Over the years I have thought of many different careers and majors that I believed I should do. Most of the time they were based on what I saw other people, who I looked up to doing. My cousin Courtney was a lifeguard, so I wanted to be a lifeguard, my mom was a nurse, so I wanted to work in the medical field. Then I would be watching sporting events with my dad, and I wanted to be a sports journalist/reporter. It wasn’t until high school that I really started to look at what I liked to do and what I was good at.
The career of a Real Estate agent is a unique work environment that has various opportunities and requires specialized study and various personal attributes to successfully run a real estate team or brokerage at a high level of business. As a result of research, l have concluded that a Real Estate career is a possible career choice for me.
Buying or selling a house or an apartment is one of the biggest decisions of a person’s life. And when selling or establishing a price for real estate, people seek out real estate agents to do the dirty work. A real estate agent has to convince a prospective homeowner that he or she is trustworthy and knowledgeable. In many ways, the agent acts as a counselor to individuals and families about to embark on a huge commitment. Real estate agents have a thorough knowledge or real estate market in their community. They
“Real estate is a year-round opportunity to help countless people realize the American dream” (“Why Real Estate”, 2012). Eighty-five percent of buyers believe that home purchases are good financial investments, and a majority of homebuyers and sellers rely on the services and expertise of real estate professionals to assist them with their transactions (Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers, 2010). “The primary job description for an agent is communicating with potential clients to determine what kind of property they are looking for” (Richard, 2012). This means, setting up interviews with clients to see if the agents firm possesses property that meets the client’s specific needs. Once it is apparent exactly what the client is looking for, the agent sets appointments to show houses to clients and many times the agent physically accompanies couples while showing off properties.
A good job is something everyone needs to have. It doesn’t have to be a doctor or dentist or any other traditional well-paying job. Your job should be something you enjoy and look forward to doing. To get a decent paying job you should go to college for at least 4 years. Although there is a couple lucky people who do or did okay without going to college. Mostly, nowadays people have to go to college to live well.
All throughout school, students are ask what we want to be when we grow up. Many of us know or have a pretty good idea, but others have no clue what they want to pursue as a career in life, whether it be furthering their education at a university or attending a technical school. There are other students that plan to start work right out of high school. Either way we all have a plan, and the purpose of this paper is to inform you of mine. I personally struggle in making big decisions like deciding what to do with my life, but then I realized I have been asking myself the wrong questions. Instead of asking what I want to be when I grow up, I asked myself what do I want out of life? what are some of my goals that I wish to achieve? This led
Everyone must make a choice, once they reach a certain age, that will determine everything in their life. My dream job is to become an electrical engineer one day because I find interest in circuits and building electronic devices. When I was a young boy my dream not to be an electric engineer but something more along the lines of being a cook; however, that dream was short lived because my interest of being able to cook changed over as I got older and became interested in electronics. The way electronics work is simply amusing to me because I could not understand how the devices were operating, and honestly I still may not understand how these devices actually work. My backup plan for my future career would have to be becoming a
