My Hero My hero is one that is very close to me. My hero is the person that gave birth to me. My hero is my mother. I chose my mom as my hero because to me that is what she is and more. My mom is literally the backbone in the family. She takes care of everything in the family and around the house. Before I began to drive my mom would take me everywhere. My mother like many others has been to the moon and back just to help me. She is such a kind person, she gives me advice about anything, she is always helping me convince my dad about anything, and most importantly she helps me get away with everything. My mom is not just my mother she is more than that, she is like the best friend I could ever have. I remember the amount of times that …show more content…
When she got here from Cuba she immediately looked for a job so that my dad wouldn’t have to work 24 hours driving a truck all over the Florida to get money. So he kept his day shift and she got a night shift at a station. She was there for about a year then she began to study to become a beautician and she achieved in doing so. It took too many hours away from me so she left her job to take care of elderly people during the day and clean peoples homes during the weekends to make a little extra money. She didn’t want my dad to have me to himself all night long she wanted that quality time with me. I can even explain how much I appreciate all the things she did for me. I understand now how hard it was for them to spend time with me and get money. I remember that my first christmas in America I literally got nothing because my parents couldn’t afford it, basically they couldn’t afford anything. There was even a time where they both had to work full day shifts just to be able to pay the rent. My mom worked in everything she could find and everything she did, she did more than good. My mom had never worked a day in her life until she got to America. She did it because she couldn’t bare to watch my dad kill himself at work and her do nothing. Though she may sometimes get annoyed by me, I always demonstrate affection towards her. She even gets mad sometimes but I don’t care because she gets over it soon enough. My mom is my confidant and I am hers. She comes to me with
The person who I consider to be a hero is my mom, FBI Special Agent Jill Stillman. She is more than a typical mom because she protects and serves our country everyday, but first makes sure to be up at 6:00am to wake me and my brother up so we can dress, eat breakfast and get to the bus stop. She always puts us first before herself along with my two dogs and cat and then she gets ready for work. I consider her a hero because after the 9/11 attacks, she helped capture and eliminate Osama Bin Laden. She has investigated criminal and counterterrorism cases and early in her career, she found evidence against the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing subject Tim McVey to send him to prison. She has been a Special Agent for 25 years and volunteered to go
As we grow up throughout life, we hold onto many heroes as they have impacted our life. Looking into my personal life, my hero consists of my mother, Darla Linden. She defined a hero as “a person stepping up in a situation without thinking they also are in harm 's way”(Linden, Darla). Throughout my lifetime my mom has been there for me since day one and has helped nurtured me.. She sacrifices many things for myself and for my family by providing us with our daily needs. I can always count on her to point me in the right direction by pursuing my dreams and wishes. I admire her caring heart and faithfulness the most because she would drop anything instantly to help someone else in need. She supports me in all of my extra curricular activities and motivates myself to bring out my full potential. I get inspired by her courageous character by never backing down to a challenge and always finishing through. When I asked my mom who she picked as her hero she said, “the service men and women of all branches who fight for our country”(Linden, Darla). They provide us with safety by sacrificing
and powers beyond the range of any human. The hero himself bring a mystical quality to the story
My personal heroes are my mom, teachers, mentors, and my uncle. My mom is one of my heroes because she
My hero is Vesta Colvin, also known as my Mom. She is my chosen hero because she didn't just make sacrifices for me, she's made them for virtually our whole family. My mother is the youngest of two, but due to certain circumstances she had to relinquish that role. Her role as the youngest had to be relinquished because my aunt decided to start having kids at about 14 years old and that forced her to grow up faster than she should’ve
Heroes come in many different forms. Heroes can be anyone, they can be your, mom, dad, sister, brother, etc. My hero is my best friend Sarah Watt. She’s kind, sweet, honest, and caring. We became friends because of the nice thing she done for me and I’ll never let it go.
Heros are so much more complex than they are simple. Heros big or small, real or fictional. Heros can range from someone like Superman to someone like Beowulf or from someone like my mom. This is one reason out of the many of why heroes are so complex. You don't have to slay monsters to be a hero. Your average fictional hero doesn't sound like that does it. Fictional heroes save damsels in distress, hunt for treasure and save the day. But if all the heroes in the world were exactly the same, would they really be heroes? Now a lot of heroes are like but none are the same. They all have different motivations, different goals such as wanting you to have some feeling of comfort after a breakup, killing a monster with their bare hands, telling you that everything will get better after your boyfriend dies, or even defeating a dragon.
To me, nothing says a hero like a single parent providing, raising, and loving their kids, for a better life and for a better future. My mother is my hero for more than just a few reasons. I wouldn’t be the woman, wife, and mother I am today without
My hero has made a huge impact on my life. They have always been there for me and supported my decisions. Whether it was a good or bad decision, I had always learned from it. When things got rough they always made sure we were happy and kept a smile on our face. One of these people were very sick but always managed to make sure we were okay. While the other one is taking care of us the best that they can he has many health issues as well. These people are my parents.
My hero’s journey started a year ago when I met my best friend, Michael. We met online and when we started talking we instantly became friends. He is tall and he is really smart and a good thinker, he loves to play basketball and he being just 16 he has accomplished so much. We had so much in common and I could talk to him about whatever and I knew he wouldn’t judge me. The only problem then was that he lived in Hollywood and I lived in Livermore. After a few months of talking to him we became best friends and we talked about his life mostly. He had depression and I like to think that when we talked I was helping him. We had a lot of really fun moments, we laughed, talked about when we would come visit each other and made plans but we
A hero is not a person with strength or a person how fight monsters. A hero is a person that inspires you to be the best you can be, a person how tells you that there is nothing in the world that you can’t do, a person how will speak to you in a different way. My hero doesn’t need strength or able to fight monster, but their able to change your life in a different way. My heroes inspire me to be the person I can be today and other every day. The people in my store inspire me to do thing I never want to do but they make me do it by changing my mind. The reason I picked these people because they don’t just inspire me they inspire other people to.
A hero is someone that never falls, but gets up again and again, never losing sight of his dreams. My hero is a male, who is 42, stands 6'2 and is very strong and never gives up. He is a person that inspires me to think smart about things like working on stuff, and thinks before you do. My dad makes a positive impact on my life to work hard and stay busy.
They can be strong, courageous, or they can even be from Greek mythology. Some heroes in my life include my mom, my dad, my grandma and my grandpa. My mom is my hero because she sees the best in me and tries her best whether it’s against her better judgment to make my life as good as it can be. My dad is also my hero because he supports me in whatever I do, whether it is in sports such as football, basketball or soccer, or in my academic or personal life. He allows me to be myself, and I appreciate that. My grandma is one of my heroes because she is suffering through ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease yet still makes you feel happy when you are around her. And finally my grandpa is my hero because he used to be a firefighter and then the fire chief of La Crosse, WI and has saved many
Hi! I’m Peter Parker, the tiny, round spider in the corner of the room. I will be telling you all about my great adventure from the most miserable little creature to a lucky, eight-legged spider. My adventure started the moment I was born, because my mother died. There is no way that I would forget the eight blank eyes staring into mine. I couldn’t handle it, so I scuttled in no particular direction for two days straight. When I finally settled down, I found a dimly lit room that reeked of humans. There was dust everywhere, but I was too tired to move on. I then proceeded to set up a web, which I innately knew how weave; it’s so cool! Yet, I went three full days without eating. It was just torture! Can you imagine no food at all for even a single day? Why couldn’t some juicy little bugs just step onto the edge of my gleaming web? All I could do was stay still and keep my pain in. Sometimes, I can’t stand it, and I cry for hours. No one accompanied me, and I kept thinking that sometimes, I was living the most sorrowful life anyone could ever imagine. There were even times when I found myself screaming at my non-existing mother for giving birth to me!
What is a hero? In my view a hero is someone that you admire. You may
