I go outside to see where I could find some food. There is no one around for me to ask where the nearest store is. So I walk on what appears to be the sidewalk covered in branches, toys, mud, and other tangible things you could think of. I look around and see beautiful trees, but I hear no birds, no no dogs, no kind of animal to tell whether there is any living creature or human being around. So I walk on going through houses searching for food. I saw on the walls pictures of families that looked happy and were having fun playing at the park, enjoying each others lives, especially in the wedding pictures. I found no food to eat, but I did find a store across the way. I went through the doors and found karts in every isle filled with food and peoples money that they left behind. But what really bugged was that I am still alone with no one to talk to, no one to share my food with, and no one to care for or even consider family. I walk to the parking lot and find a car that I would have loved to have growing up, but since no one is here anymore to take care of it I take it for my own. I find it to be a race car type. Its all black with blue and white flames at the rear, with a light blue stripe going from the roof to the hood of the car trapped by royal blue stripes. It was so awesome to look at so I broke in the car and drove it to the front of the store to load it up with food and money. Once I was done with that I drove to the next town and found that it was the same as the
It was a fine Sunday Morning. I was about to experience a fun day of baseball. It was a beautiful afternoon for a trip to the ballpark. I could hardly wait to get there to experience all of the fun things. I was with my brother and his girlfriend and my two nephews and me.I got there by car with my brother's girlfriend and me and my nephew. When we got there we went to the park there and played on the playground. Then we headed up to our seats which were all the way at the top ,one of the best seats in the house. I went down to the concession stand and my brother gave me $20 to buy three pops and a small pop for my nephews and me. The guys who comes to you and give you the ice cream and stuff. we got slushies
1.1 – Explain the factors that need to be taken into account when assessing development
When I was 14 my brother convinced me to sign up for the Mcconnel foundation Yosemite trip. I had to do a lot of community service which consisted of picking up trash on the side of the road and teaching the kids at my local elementary school about the environment and global warming. I got accepted and it was definitely one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. I’m outdoorsy and love hiking but, this was a whole different level of hiking. The first couple days were really hard for me because of the extent of the hikes and hiking dozens of switchbacks a day. The yosemite made me realize how beautiful life is and I became a lot more outdoorsy. It helped me figure out who I am. I soon started spending most of my time outdoors fishing and hunting. The yosemite is the most beautiful place I’ve ever been to and I’m extremely thankful that I had that experience.
I looked up from my book, and saw the beautiful Granite Cliffs of El Capitan. I can’t believe I’m actually here. I am so lucky that I have the opportunity to see the beauty of this mesmerizing place. Yosemite National park is the most captivating places I’ve ever been. It is in California’s Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Yosemite was established on October 1,1890 because of the so many things that make it as outstanding as it is. Yosemite is 747,956 acres of waterfalls, trees, cliffs, mountains and more. My family and I have only been here for an hour, and I am so excited to begin all of the remarkable activities we have planned.
On September 25, 1890 Congress created Yosemite National Park. The United States Congress decided that about 1,500 square miles of public land in California Sierra Nevada would be preserved forever as Yosemite National Park. What was once the home to Indians whose battle cry yo-che-ma-te gave the park its name. Anglo-Americans began to settle into Yosemite valley around the 1850’s. Eventually they drove out all of the native inhabitants. These early settlers quickly recognized Yosemite Valley's unique beauty.
Summer of 1994. New York City smelled no different than hot rat piss and looked accordingly. Fresh off my 15th birthday and wandering the Brooklyn streets with Hakeem, we followed the music wherever it played. Our community cherished music through constant airplay. Anyone with loud speakers, either in their car, apartment, or boombox, blared any of the anthems from the future greats. Whether it's Nas, Wu-Tang, Biggie, or Tribe, the list is blissfully endless. Hakeem’s brother, a well-connected music promoter, gave Hakeem two tickets to this secret show he was putting on for Ice Cube, who, despite being the first notable west coast rapper, carries a rage within him that the east coast entirely recognizes.
I’m soaring in the sky with the view of pure white mountains below with trees and small bodies of water surrounding the large rocks, I have my landing destination spotted in the distances, a spruce tree, but it will take me over an hour to arrive. I calculated the time it would take me to arrive at my shelter, but the wind is pushing me more and more southwest, making it extremely difficult to know how much time I will have before sundown once I land.
Hayden Park was an interesting place for a Freeze-Frame assignment. For those who have not heard of a Freeze-Frame, it is simply sitting in one spot for 15 to 20 minutes observing ones surroundings. So to continue, at first glance, Hayden Park is a typical Valley of the Sun type park. Most of these typical parks have grass, picnic tables, some trees, and usually some sort of sports availability such as a basketball court or soccer field, or both. In addition, the parks also have pleasant surroundings. But Hayden Park is located in South Phoenix, so automatically the typical standard for parks is altered.
My life has been a crazy roller coaster with many events that have affected my life all in different ways. There have been times where my life has been at its highest peak in the world then it falls down, right into a deep valley. From the time my lovable younger sister came into my life to when my grandpa had a near death experience, I have learned many valuable lessons through the rough times as well as the more happy times. When I was a young girl, my mom had always told me the same thing over and over again. I never really thought about how a few words would have a deep effect on me in a short amount of time.
A ways away from a town that I call home, I found a happy place. I often find myself walking through the park by myself. The beautiful trees, the way the yellow and red leaves crumple under my feet every step I take. When the flowers bloom and how it's the most spectacular sight you could ever imagine seeing, all the different colors that appear. When you breathe in and you get this smell of purity, you feel free and alive. Sometimes I like to sit on the old wooden bench where the bench frame is a little rusted, and I get rid of my thoughts and my eyes search the sky. In the winter the icy breeze makes me shiver, and the cold air I take in, is like sitting in front of an air conditioner and breathing in. Some mornings the sun beams across the sky, which is not quite blue yet, but the sun has almost fully risen. When the wind blows, it grazes over the blades of grass. Some days I just stand and take a deep breath in and I can taste the spring. When summer comes around, and the bees are buzzing, and the hot sun beats on the back of my neck, I lay on the soft grass and listen, to the birds chirping a beautiful song, and the kids playing in the park. The sky is the bluest view in sight.
A person must always choose between living their life accustomed to settling for less or actually living their lives the way they want to. We suffer from the fear of missing out on life experiences and in the end all we really want is to be happy of the life we chose to live. The willingness to take an adventure can range for example someone quitting their job that they hate and going after for the job they actually want. A second type of adventure can be a little bigger than that like actually having the ambition of finishing school and reaching the profession that you aspired to have in your life. Lastly an adventure can go as far as moving out of a small town and into the city where no one knows who you are and the adventure of your
While walking from class yesterday, I saw something. I noticed there was a group of individuals setting up a tent, electric keyboard, and a few other things amongst these. It was obvious to me as if there was going to be a local concert in the park. I assumed this would be produced by a group of younger people, but it was led by an older group. To me, this was rather interesting since it was as close as Woodruff Park. This was a close location from to my dorm and right outside the location of my class. Unfortunately, I was not able to stay for the first half of the session, but I was able to return for a short time after leaving my meeting.
People who are nostalgic about childhood, were obviously never children. Few people can remember the truth about adolescence. Their minds "censor" their memories; and have them believe that being a teenager was was one big party, free of cares and responsibilities. Well let me say this, you couldnOt be more wrong if you had a lobotomy. There aren't that many adults around who realise what adolescence was really like. The anguish, the fear, the anxiety, the stress. People don't remember those problems because they want to forget them.
As a very small child I don’t remember too much, but the things that I do remember were seen through a child’s eyes that has made me the person that I am today and I will always have those memory’s with me until my last breath on this earth. In this essay I intend to show how my childhood and adult life to this point has influenced my life, my journey. By utilizing the adult development theories from this class I also intend on showing how they relate to my Life experiences and where I am today as an Adult student.
This explains the beginning of my life all the way to the end of my life. My life from the beginning was very fun as I grew up living with my mom’s friend and my friend. But there were a lot of fights and I was very hyper back then. I have ADHD so back then when I was little; I was very hyper and wouldn't stop moving around the place. I always was annoying back then and never seemed to get my homework done at school.
