My Long Term Goals In Photography

My goals for the remainder of my high school career is to maintain my GPA, but also get myself more involved socially and physically active.

In the next 5 years I need to pass all my classes in highschool and get good grades to get into a beautician school. I see myself going to Franklin High school or Reagan High School because they are both good schools and they have lots of activities such as soccer and swimming which interest me. While in high school I plan to maintain a 3.5 GPA or greater while staying involved and prospering in the sports and activities I practice. In the winter I plan to go to State in Knowledge bowl and go to State and possibly the National DECA tournament as well. The success in these activities will lead colleges and companies to be more attracted to me so I can later get jobs easier and get scholarships to reduce college debt later. Goals are a part of everyday life. From gaining the strength to get out of bed in the morning to winning that blue medal around your neck, everybody has made a goal once in their life. Sometimes it can be as easy as saying you’re not going to eat that last cupcake on the platter in front of you or as hard as saying “Hello” to that special someone in your life that you find adorable, either way you have made a goal. It’s also important to remember there is short term goals and long term goals. Short term goals are easier to achieve and can be very helpful in leading up to your long term goals. We can even classify our goals into personal goals, academic goals, and professional goals, as well as others.

An experience in a biomedical research will help me to succeed in my long-term educational goals. My long-term goal is to attend a MD-PHD program at a Medical School. As a scientist, I would like to study the genetics of disease causing organisms and human genetics. Currently, I am studying Biochemistry at the University of Maryland, which I think will equip me with a knowledge of human biochemistry. However, since undergraduate schools mainly focus on theoretical not the practical application of most subjects, I need to participate in a hands on research project over the summer because It will give me an opportunity to apply my knowledge in a laboratory. Hey guys it's Haley, and I finally found a chunk of time to write! I have decided to make a final part of "The High School Terrors", since I got into my top high school! So as for the 2016/2017 school year, I will be attending Ronald Reagan High School! Since two weeks have passed since I was accepted to Reagan, I already enrolled! It may seem like I'm going a little fast-paced, but I always had a feeling that Reagan was the perfect high school for me.. In fact, I know what goes on at Reagan (the program) and I know a lot of people who will also be attending Reagan! So this is going to be an interesting ride.. One of the proudest moments of my life is graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in social work. I’m the first in my family to do so, and I am going to go further in my education by pursuing a Master’s degree in social work. The main reason why I am pursuing a Master’s degree is because it will give me more options than a Bachelor’s degree would ever give me. My long-term goal with my college education is to complete my Bachelor's degree and eventually continue on to receive my Master’s degree in criminal justice. The first step to complete my long-term goal is receiving my Associate’s degree in criminal justice by May 2017. This goal is specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely.

Writing can be very hard especially for first time writers. There are a lot of things and process that they need to undergo in order to master the art of writing. However, it will be hard for them also to accomplish their writing task if they don't have the attitude towards writing just like most writers do.

Another skill a good photographer should have, is the ability to pick very unique and interesting locations and items to take pictures of. For example, take a picture of a flower and place it next to a picture of a roaring lion, most people will want to choose the lion. Why is that? People simply find the picture of the lion more exciting. This is the perfect opportunity to travel and go to exotic places. It is a great experience and it makes you money (“Job description 2”).

My second goal specifically is to get a position in the human resources department with my current employer within the next six months. Gaining a position in the human resources department puts me one step closer to achieving my long-term goal of becoming a human resource manager. The goal is measurable because I plan to apply to any position I see posted in the human resources department that interest me and align with my professional goals. The goal is attainable because I have access to our job postings website and I plan to check this website for updates at least twice per week. This is a reasonable goal because I sometimes have downtime at work, which would allow me to use that time to search for new postings and even apply. This goal is time-bound because I gave myself a deadline of six months to achieve it. With my updated resume, experience and now my current course of study at Western Governors University, it makes me a desirable candidate for a position in HR.

The future is a time or a period of time in which we follow through from the moment of speaking or writing our intentions. It is a time that has yet still to come. The future is what we work for, to go through school and have a career, in order to have a better life. My parents have taught me to work hard for the things I want, and I wish to have a bright future. That is one of the reasons why I am here at CI, to get an education that will help me find a career with sufficient salary that will support me and my future family.
