Fitness can be defined as the activity requiring physical effort, carried out to sustain or improve health and fitness. Fitness is extremely important to us as human beings, as it will stimulate certain chemicals in the brain that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed. Regular exercise can also leave you feeling better and more confident about yourself and your appearance, which will result in a boosted self-esteem.
During high school I participated in many different exercise programmes. In grade 8 I was involved in rugby, which included very heavy and intense training.
Regular practices which included running and made up the cardio side of the sport. These practices also included push-ups, sit-ups and other core activities that would contribute to strengthening the core muscles, shoulders as well as back muscles.
Rugby was not the only thing I was involved with in grade 8, I also played cricket which was a very time consuming sport which also required a lot of concentration, which would be determined by the level of fitness one has.
Lastly also play golf and requires me to go to the gym 3 times a week to ensure I keep fit and maintain strength.
This same programme continued throughout my high school

My Fitness Pal is a very reliable tool that has helped me track my macro nutrients onto my phone and has helped me lose weight. The app has many features that helped me balance my diet, like the nutrition tab. The nutrition tab shows your calories, nutrients and macros. This is very helpful because it helps me see what i’m eating and allows me to replace things that may not be good for my health. For example, if i’m eating an unhealthy amount of macaroni and cheese it tells me that this food is high in saturated and carbs, it’ll then give me a recommended replacement food that is much healthier, such as a Tomato Soup or a Rice Bowl.
Fitness has always been something that I loved. It’s always been a lifestyle for me whether it was dance or cheer to softball and volleyball. Most teens hate conditioning in sports, but I was always that weird girl on the team that loved it. I love the feeling of working hard and being able to push myself and get better. I’ve always been super
In the recent years, athletic training has grown exponentially and has adapted to find its role in many other areas of practice settings, such as dance, military branches, and in physical rehabilitation facility centers across the nation.

I would say one way that athletics has affected me is learning the importance of hard work and determination. It's taught me that no matter what situation you're in that if you work hard enough you can achieve your goals both on and off the field. Before when something was hard I would either try to find the easy way out or simply give up. Even though that might work temporarily, I've learned through many years of playing sports that powering through and getting the job done, no matter how difficult it may be, is always more rewarding and better than giving up.
In the future I will be going to school for Athletic Training or Registered Nurse. I would like to achieve one of these or both, if it is possible. I want to become these things because I want to help others when they are hurt. I will be attending the schools that offer the best programs for my careers. I would want to attend a community college first to finish my general studies then transfer my credits to a University. I want to be fully educated in my careers I choose.
I have always been physically active and I have participated in many sports and athletic activities and programs throughout my life. However, one thing that I have never considered to improve my fitness was just going out for a walk! Engaging in walking activity has improved so many areas of my life. I have become more health conscience and through this new perspective I have begun to make better fitness decisions that are helping me live a happier, healthier life. I first noticed a change in my fitness level when I was at soccer summer camp. At the camp, we had to run a mile around the field. I remember how last summer I had been really out of shape and I had struggled to run the course. However, this summer, because of my keeping up with my walking program
Physical fitness is a indefinite estate of heal and well-being and, more specifically, the cleverness to perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities. Physical fitness is commonly effect through very nutrition, calm-vigorous medicinal trial, and sufficient stay.
The idea of “fit” is to use fitness as medicine; whether that be physical or mental. If fitness is used as “medicine” it is believed to give the user physical, anti-aging, and emotional/mental benefits. Physical benefits of fitness are pretty straight forward, but they include: better cardiovascular and joint health, a stronger musculoskeletal system, and a decrease risk of heart disease. According to Bruce Guillaume, head of mountain challenge and FGH, being fit increases the longevity and quality of life. He said life was what you made of it - “use it or lose it.” Mental benefits are a bit like the anti-aging idea of being fit, meaning it is not exactly straightforward. Some studies show that by being fit and moving provides an ideal balance of neurotransmitters, which includes: the ability to focus, mood stability, and a happy
Try to vary your workout methods for HIIT and Cardio. Don't just run or just ride a stationary bike. Mix it up to prevent overuse injuries. Likewise, for resistance training, work on variations of pulling, pushing, and lower body motions as well.
We begin with aerobic/cardiovascular activity, this training focuses on how your heart rate and your breathing can speed up making you save more energy rather then crashing quick. Some exercises that would help out would be running, walking, cycling and swimming. Now some people may stretch after warming up a bit but I think that this type of training regarding flexibility and stretching should be the utmost first thing to do when you get into the gym. This is because, without stretching you’re putting stress and pressure on areas which are not use to these types of training, putting your body in risk of getting injured quicker. These workouts make sure that your joints are at a proper range as well as your muscles and tendons. Then there is the most common type of training, which is strength, weight and resistance training. This type of workout exercises on improving your muscle function and strength overall. These exercises are most common because they can be so precise on hitting whatever ever muscle group you are into. Weight lifting and using resistance bands are great examples of resistance training as well as doing push
Physical Health: Sports play an important role in my life, they help keep me healthy in more than just one aspect (mentally, socially, etc.). Growing up, playing sports acted as my main anger outlet. Whenever I was upset or overwhelmed, going outside and kicking a ball around or shooting pucks at my net in the backyard, helped ease my mind. With doing this, it helped my physical health, as well as helping me manage my mental health. Sports also help me with my social health because it lets me meet and get to know so many amazing other players who share similar interests with me. As a CYC worker, encouraging youth to be physically healthy is important because it teaches them that being physically healthy has more benefits than just physical.
According to Merriam Webster, fitness is defined as “the quality or state of being fit” (n.d. 2016). This obviously has a bit of room for interpretation. What is “fit”, anyway? Everyone measures fitness differently. Some would consider themselves fit if they don’t get winded after running up a flight of stairs, others measure it by a certain amount of weight they can lift or miles they can run, some measure it by using percentages and ratios like Body Mass Index or BMI, and others
