After taking on online quiz to determine my Myers-Briggs Type, I analyze how each preference fits into my professional life in a positive or challenging way. I see the world from an external context; my energy comes from external sources therefore my first preference is Extraverted. I am able to conceptualize a broad view of the world, issues and situations as well as work on multiple tasks at one time as an iNtuitive. I use implications, intuition and an internal value system to gather information which is typical of a Feeler. And finally I seek order, and structure as a Judger personality. This makes up my type as ENFJ.

The source of my energy certainly comes from other people. My professional duties include working exhibit booths at Patient Education Events. I am energized and fueled by interacting and talking to attendees, and learning about them. The typical caveats of strong extraverts can plague me as well: the need to talk through my decision-making which can alienate an introvert. On group conference calls, I desire robust and lively conversation but sometimes a more autocratic approach would be best suited. Overall, my extraverted nature is a good fit for duties in a sales …show more content…
2002) attitude. I can quickly assess the interpersonal dynamics in a situation and use my decisiveness to develop a plan of action based on the situation. My open and caring preferences also prompt loyal and positive responses from my peers, customers and managers. My organization is a diverse group of individuals. Its members have “gifts that differ according to the grace given to us,” (Romans 12:6, English Standard Version) and we are tasked to use them accordingly to further the goals of the organization. My strengths have allowed me to excel in my role, but a better understanding of my intrinsic proclivities offer opportunity for my career
Throughout the beginning of this semester I have looked at how individuals behave within business organizations. Through various exercises and results, I have found a number of patterns within my behavior and interests. I have become aware to what interests me, and a number of skills/abilities I was oblivious I had. This reflection and in class exercises have allowed me to expand my skills, abilities, and behaviors, well fitting them into prospective future employment.
The Myers and Briggs Analysis is a series of questions that when answered are examined and grouped together in order to determine the personalities of those taking this test. This particular test can result in sixteen different outcomes or types of personalities, which is determined by four different categories that judge if you are introverted or extroverted, use your senses or your intuition, your choice to think or use your feelings, and finally if you are judgmental or perceptive. These series of questions are designed to judge our personalities and help us to determine which career pathways we will be most suited for based on our personality traits and abilities to work well with others, which is important
“The Campaigner” ENFP, that is my personality test results. My results say I’m an extravert and I have to agree with that. I love being around people and always love meeting someone new. I’m a very curious and imaginative person which is why I agree that I am intuitive. I am also a very emotional and sensitive person and I do focus on social harmony. I agree with the P which means prospecting because I can think on my feet and improvise very well. I agree with every single result I received in the personality test because I am a very social person that keeps my options open.
After taking the 91 question test, I came up with a tie of ESFJ and ENFJ. However I find that I identify more with the ENFJ personality type based on the descriptions that I read. The ENFJ stands for Extraversion, Intuition, Feeling and Judging. Individuals with these combined personality types tend to be responsible, sociable, sympathetic, and responsive to praise and criticism. This personality type defines those who enjoy working with other people, are conscientious and are able to express thoughts freely, has more insight and enjoys reading. When the ENFJ group is put in a work situation, they may be interested in others jobs and how they are performed, enjoy working with new skills, can oversimplify tasks, enjoy harmony in the workplace and will ensure that it is there, dislikes telling people unpleasant things, and work best when they can plan their work and follow that exact plan. The ENFJ personality also has weaknesses. Often times, they take criticism to heart, avoid conflict whenever possible, and are prone miscommunication. They need to work on understanding how to communicate with other personality types. When communicating with introverts, it's important to allow time for that person to trust you personally before having a business-esque conversation. When speaking with “sensors” you must be sure to be practical, realistic, and direct, however, when
Looking at the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Mark Wilson appears to be an ENFP. He’s very extraverted because he wasn’t afraid to try and start his new company. Once he realized that most telemarketers were unhappy and were only working as a telemarketer to progress in the job field, he knew that he had to change something right away. He seems intuitive because he looked at the “big picture” (making a company where telemarketers are happy and have long-lasting jobs) then figured out how to get there. He showed his feeling trait through his care for his coworkers and by trying to make them enjoy their jobs more. He didn’t make the new company to make a profit, his main reason was to help his fellow employees. His perceiving side stood out to
Who would have known that four letters can describe a person in complete detail! The Myers Briggs Personality Test can explain your own personality better than you ever thought you could. My personality falls under ESTJ, which stands for extraverted, sensing, thinking, judging. ESTJ 's are usually hard workers that use logic and tradition to complete things efficiently while staying organized. They tend to be very stable people that remain loyal, dependable, and active. They enjoy creating things around the house, volunteering in the community, as well as watching and playing sports. ESTJ 's are known to be great leaders, often times employed as an engineer, doctor, manager, consultant, technician, or agriculturist.
The Myers-Briggs Personality Test is discussed in two steps. In Step 1, the results of my Myers-Briggs Personality test are discussed while going into detail about each letter. Real life examples are provided for context of each letter. The weaknesses of each letter are also discussed. In Step 2, the lessons learned about how it relates to organizational behavior and to my specific organization are discussed.
During the power point on the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, as the instructor went through the different types of personalities, I was able to recognize which subcategories I fall into almost instantly. When my computer personality test results were returned, I was correct. As I read the type descriptions of Extroversion, Intuition, Feeling, and Judging- ENFJ- I quickly recognized myself within the descriptive words.
These qualities were even more defined when I took the Myers-Briggs assessment. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a personality assessment that involves a series of questions to simple everyday situations, the responses then identify an individual’s natural way of doing things known as ‘Psychological Preferences’ (Aranda, R, & TiLton, S, 2013). My MBTI results came back from (Personality Pathways, 2017) as being an ISTJ, which stands for: introversion, sensing, thinking, and judging. I thought that this assessment was somewhat accurate to my personality and my way of thinking. According to the test, I have a strong-felt internal sense of duty and that fuels my motivation to complete tasks. I feel this is certainly true because I want
In the first week of class, we were asked to complete the Myers Briggs Personality test, and then to read up on our results. Once I had completed the typology “test”, I received my results in the form of four letters: INTJ, and afterwards, I decided to view what the four letters represented. Likewise, once I had begun to read the explanation provided by the website, I found that I was agreeing with several of the sentiments, as I felt it not only described my personality to near perfection, but also for the reason of how it was allowing me to come to better understand and accept myself. In other words, I felt that the results were self-fulfilling since they reflected upon who I am, and also, who I am not. For instance, I have found that
Knowing your personality types can be helpful because they show you what your natural inclinations are, but it is important to remember personality types are not boundaries which you never cross. A good example of natural preference was the “write your signature” exercise we did in Leadership class. When people were first told to write their signature, everyone did so with their dominant hand. This shows that people prefer to rely on their dominant and natural inclinations. This does not mean that non-dominant traits cannot be used; in fact, I think they can be helpful. In my Myers-Briggs test, it was said that I take in information by “sensing.” I agree with this, and there is nothing wrong with it. But sometimes, it is helpful to use more
Based on the Jung Myers-Briggs personality test, I am an ESFJ. I am distinctly an extravert over an introvert. I moderately prefer sensing over intuition and feeling over thinking. I have marginal preference of judging over perceiving. For the most part, I agree with this analysis. Personally, I thought I would have been right in between being an introvert and an extravert, so I find it interesting that I am distincty an extravert over an introvert. I definitely understand that I am more sensing over intuition; my intuition is awful. As much as I hate to say it, I am definitely more feeling than thinking, even though thinking in a situation is often more helpful than basing a decision off of feeling. I also thought I would have had a stronger
This is all do to the fact that I am an ENTJ on the Myers Briggs personality test. I am very outgoing person. This is very common for people with my personality type. I classify myself as is an ENTJ on the Myers Briggs personality test. On the Myers Briggs test, each letter represents a characteristic.
When taking the Myers-Briggs test I mostly agreed with the statements quoted about my personality type. Some examples would be that I am reliable, charismatic, too selfless, and a natural leader. I believe I am a very reliable person, when it comes to making plans with friends,
Yes, I agree with the overall classification of the Myers-Briggs assessment. At first, I had some hesitations because I was not sure I could trust the evaluation. Surprisingly, after I revisited the site to read the full description of INFJ, I was stunned by the character attributes. It was as if I was reading a self-narration of my personality especially with phrases like “Strongly humanitarian in outlook, idealists, preference for completion, doers as well as dreamers, sometimes mistaken for extroverts because they appear so outgoing and are so genuinely interested in people. On the contrary, INFJs are true introverts, inherent givers." The behavioral analysis had a shocking resemblance with me, I have no choice but to agree with Myers-Briggs’ classification.
