Patrons fear merchants can track your shopping habits, location and financial records using a mobile GPS signal. Nevertheless, worries that someone can steal their information when sent wirelessly therefore consumer confidence remains low. According to the most recent Federal Reserve study; most of us haven’t set foot in a banking hall in ages. It is a lost battle to banks that opt to use traditional methods to conduct their banking transactions (Gup 2003). In the United Kingdom alone, rates of mobile banking transactions doubled over the course of a single year (Scn Education 2001). Therefore, it is essential to address issues like security of the banking transactions that are executed from a distant place and transmitted over the air. Besides this, it is also important to ensure the security of financial transactions, if the device is stolen by hackers. If these concerns are properly addressed, then it would help increase the popularity of mobile banking by instilling a sense of trust among the customers.

By the mid 1990’s most of the major banks now offered online Bill Pay to all of its customers for a small monthly fee (6). By this time, online banking has begun to grow rapidly, along with the concerns for customer security. Like with many changing technologies, many customers of online banking become skeptical of how well the technology could protect them. With growing concerns from customers, banks began increasing their security with online accounts (7).

Genetically engineering food could be a viable possibility to ending the problem world hunger. There are many advantages to this solution but there are also disadvantages. Technological advancement has had a gigantic effect in the banking industry. Apple Pay is the future of mobile payments and has grown a lot since it was first released. There are other competitors that have tried recreate Apple 's version of online payments. Apple Pay is not only a way to make purchases online but it also can be used in place of a credit card. Instead of being swiped at checkout shoppers wave their device over the Apple Pay terminal to complete a purchase. The use of Apple Pay has been growing according to Michael Krey in his article titled, “Apple Pay reportedly giving users headaches” he states, Apple Pay “makes up more than $2 out $3 spent on purchase using contactless payment across the three major U.S. card networks” (Krey). Although currently, “Baird Equity Research found that nearly 40% of iPhone 6 series handset owners have used Apple Pay” (Krey). I will go into depth discussing the current use, security, future uses, ethical and social implications, and cons to Apple Pay.

Imagine that, in the near future, you need surgery in your lungs. Currently, it would be very invasive and very risky to do surgery on your lungs. But, with advances in nanotechnology, the surgery could be quick and painless. There could be almost no risk attributed to surgeries like nowadays, and it would not be nearly as invasive either. Nanotechnology is something that isn’t necessarily new, it has been talked about and worked upon for many years. However, there have been advances in this field that have led to new and also exciting discoveries. Surgeries, for example, are one of the things that nanotechnology has seen a promising future for. There is, however, a dark side of this. While there are many innovations that have launched this technology to the forefront of many scientists’ minds, there are also skeptics and nonbelievers that say this technology could do more harm than it could good. There are many pros, but there are even more cons to this technology. This reason is why so many people say that we should not be pushing this technology as far and as hard as we currently are. If there is not a change in the rapid growth of this technology, there could be some undesirable consequences.
